David is the best. He listens, educates, offers solutions and show you how to implement them. Good for all pet problems - large and small.

We adopted an American Bulldog who had insecurity based aggression issues. They were so bad that I considered him unsafe and thought I'd be forced to return him to the shelter. I communicated with several trainers about his issues and I found Sarah the most helpful and engaging, even before we signed any contract. She was also the only one I found who would do a free consultation (others ranged from $100-300). I found that she's able to see things that I don't, even though I consider myself as a decent dog person. She explored the extent of my dog's aggression and guided me through exercises to help alter his behavior. This was all in the first consultation. Given that first impression, we contracted her services and it's been great. She's been very responsive to any questions or problems I've had and continued to give me input between our sessions. I'm half way through my sessions with her and I've seen a ton of improvement in my dog's behavioral issues, much faster than I was expecting. As a bonus, she's also helped me teach him basic obedience which ties into our behavioral training. So I'm very satisfied with her services. Probably the best thing about Sarah is she gives you the confidence to work with your dog on your own, and this is unique since I don't get that impression from many people. I think she should be at the top of the list for anyone seeking a dog trainer.

We even get videos and pictures so we can see what Emma The Wonder Dog is doing and how much fun she is having (two of the pics in my profile are from her adventures!) I've found the customer service to just be exceptional... Sean is always quick to answer my calls, e-mails, and texts even during nights and weekends. Sometimes I have a last minute schedule change due to my crazy life and they always seem to bend over backwards to accommodate me. Yes, the wait-list is a pain, but now I see why they have it... it was well worth the wait as they take Emma The Wonder Dog to all the places I wish I could take her on a daily basis and treat her like the princess she is! Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

Sean, the business owner, is an incredibly trustworthy, fair and dependable person and you can tell he absolutely loves our dog like his own (and she loves him). It really shines through that the business and spending time with dogs is something he loves to do. Koa is always tired and happy when she comes back from all her adventures. It's been really fun for us to receive the photos and description after each adventure of where they went that day - all throughout the city. She's explored more of the area hiking trails than we have. We always joke that she is having a better life than we are! We feel so much better knowing that she is getting proper strenuous exercise at least a couple of times a week during her adventure days. It really is a great service

This place was close by, uses positive reinforcement, and had socials in the afternoons on the weekends, which is perfect for my pups daily schedule. Registering online and providing his vaccine records was easy so I decided to give it a try. Upon arrival, I was greeted outside by the trainer wearing a mask. My pup leaped out of my arms and into his, which was a relief because clearly there were good vibes. I explained this was my first time trying a social and leaving my pup, and the trainer was very sweet. He explained what they would cover during the social, the pick up process, and that I could watch live on Instagram. The live puppy cam was a big relief. As I watched, what I appreciated most is how supportive and caring they were of my little guy. He's a little shy but throughout the class both trainers were constantly reassuring him and encouraging him to play with other dogs. Pick up was easy as well. We met outside again and the trainer gave me some tips to work on. I continue to bring my Levi there for the socials for a few reasons: 1) they're great with my little guy, 2) the class is a full hour, 3) the puppy cam offers a chance for me to observe his progress without being in the room, 4) despite Covid, they have a setup that safely allows some separation between me and my pup which is great for his independence and 5) the location and parking are super convenient.

My most recent foster was a young male fox-hound mix from a rural rescue. This beautiful, spirited pup was a handful, and he and I needed help... immediately! Lily from Happy Planet Petcare was recommended by people at my local dog park; I am so happy we found her. Lily uses positive, rewards-based training. My foster pups' particular needs were: pulling hard on walks, being constantly distracted, no recall, jumping on people out of excitement, being barky, and chewing whatever came near his mouth at home. Lily achieved drastic improvements on all fronts. As well as her professional accreditations and hands-on experience, she is currently pursuing a master's degree in animal behavior. That was one of the things that attracted me to her services, a passion rather than a job. Lily is articulate and explains behaviors, often from the dog's perspective, which is so helpful. Her goal was for me to have a fun relationship with my dogs. I feel confident about transferring what I learned to the other foster dogs I host. I highly recommend Lily and Happy Planet Petcare.

I often see their dog walkers--recognizable by their yellow shirts--walking six to eight dogs at once, all tethered to short leashes, even during extreme heat. Watching these dogs struggle to walk in sync, often yanked if they try to sniff or explore, is truly heartbreaking. Dogs are curious, sensory-driven animals. They deserve the opportunity to enjoy their walks--not just as exercise, but as enrichment. It's concerning to witness such large groups being led in rigid formation, with little to no freedom for natural behaviors like sniffing, stopping to pee, or interacting calmly with the environment. I urge this business to reconsider their approach and limit the number of dogs per walker, especially during hot weather. Not all dogs have the same pace, endurance, or needs. Walks should be about more than logistics--they should be a source of joy and stimulation for our canine companions. I understand that reducing group size might impact profits, but ultimately, dog welfare must come first--especially for a company that claims to care about the animals they serve. I hope this feedback is taken in the spirit it's offered: as an encouragement to put the dogs' best interests at the heart of your business practices.
