We were traveling and looking for a local place for a light evening meal. The hotel desk agent said she frequented Sidelines and recommended it. It was Saturday evening and the bar and restaurant were very busy. Sports on every TV and everyone having a good time. We ordered nachos and fried green tomatoes. Both were very good. But be aware, the nachos are excellent and the serving beyond big. The half serving is enough for four as an appetizer. Bottom line...you can't go wrong stopping in at Sidelines. read more

We recently visited Sidelines Bar and Grill, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! We started with the Onion Ring tower as an appetizer. Although the tower was good, it wasn't as impressive as we expected. It was kind of small. For our entrees, we ordered a Double Smash Burger, a Reuben Sandwich, and a Hot Turkey and Cheese Sandwich. All of them came with fries. The fries were absolutely amazing! We were all impressed by how they were seasoned and delicious they were. The entrees were also very good. The wings were cooked perfectly, but in my opinion, they were a bit oversauced. They seemed to be drowning in sauce. To wash down our meals, we had a few Blue Moon beers and an Iced Tea. The beer was cold and really hit the spot with the burger. The place itself was clean, and the service was good. Although it took a while for the food to be prepared, it wasn't excessively long. Sidelines Bar and Grill has plenty of TVs for gametime and offers a decent selection of beers and drinks. Sudelines is one of many businesses at that location over the years. Many have come and gone. Sidelines stands out as something different from all the other sit-down places in town. I hope they stick around because it's definitely worth a visit! read more

Bartender was very unwelcoming to an out-of-towner. Considering it's one of only a few liquor bars, amazing how empty it was on a Friday night at 6pm. Bartender unaware of the sparse inventory of liquor. Joined a party of 6 at a table to have drinks and food. Decent bar food. Server extremely inexperienced and shy. Waited 25 minutes for an appetizer that was told they were out of on top of the 10 minutes it took to even get our drink order taken. I asked my guest would they rather go somewhere else because if it took that long for an appetizer the wait time for food would have been crazy. at this point we hadn't even ordered our entree. OK, this is one of those high marks given to extrarneous factors, to some degree. Mainly-- this is a bar in a VERY small rural area, so a rare find to get something OPEN late at night, with good and fast food service, friendly staff and tasty food item (yes, I just had one thing) and good selection of beers. Background: I have to travel around the area for work (sports writing, local newspaper). Often I end up finishing work late at night and want a snack; sometimes need to write up a story....and more often than I care, I end up at the closest Mickie Ds. So to find someplace like this is extra special. This place had very friendly staff, even though it seemed pretty busy (Friday night around 10 pm-- prime time for a bar. Good, extensive menu, althouguh I just tried one app, which came out quick and was very good. Decent selection of craft beers on draft. Nice music from a solo musician-- not too loud or obnoxious (I will say, it's a shame folks don't CLAP more when a guy is doing pretty decent live music!). You have to go through this area to know how rare it is to find such a gem open late on a Friday night, without being a loud booze-only bar. read more

I went here to catch an NFL game. I don't have local channels so I made the drive from Oneida. The bartender and I had a little back and forth about what team I supported. He was a Bears fan and I'm a Packer fan so it was all in fun. Wings were hot and the beer was cold. Nice large TVs. read more

I've read some mixed reviews on Sidelines since it opened this summer. We finally had a chance to go on a Friday night. The atmosphere was nice, everything was clean and there was a great live band. I ordered the Sideline Nachos and if you love nachos, this is a must-try for the presentation as well as the taste. I had it as my main meal, and my two companions helped me eat some and there was still some leftover! My husband ordered the wings, which he devoured, and my friend ordered the buffalo chicken wrap, which she loved. The beer was ice cold and our server took really good care of us. I am very disappointed with the (lack of) catering skills this place has. We just catered them for our rehearsal dinner- 16 pizzas, Alfredo, and salad. The pizza was rock hard and freezing cold. It was sitting on the bar and the boxes weren't warm when picked up. Disappointing to spend $500 on food and it to be freezing cold. Gave it 2 stars because the man I set catering up with (Samuel) was very nice. Everyone else I called was rude. read more

For a lil bar the call me ounces OK there's a waitress there who's not very friendly. If you go in there you'll probably know who she is but overall we had a good time. We've been in about three or four times when we drive through the area. If I lived in the area, I'd probably still go in there just to terrorize the unfriendly bartender. What a refreshing upgrade from the place that was here before! Food is fresh and tasty. Get the pretzels, for the beer cheese! And dip everything in it! The fresh chips are better than any fries in my son's opinion. Service is great. Owner is involved. We had an order messed up and it was made better than right. Look forward to more menu options but appreciate the focus on quality and service over a giant menu. When good food and a cold beer in a relaxed atmosphere is what you need, this is the spot. Great service at the bar as far as beer goes. Chips were good. Crinkle fries were good and well seasoned. I usually do not like crinkle fries. I had a cheeseburger. Overcooked. It was difficult to open Mayo packs. Bartender said how is everything. I said I needed scissors to open Mayo packs. No response. My husband's chicken on his sandwich was tough. He couldn't eat it. ( He rarely pushes back food!) another bartender, young guy, asked, "how was everything?" His back was to us. We didn't respond because he couldn't hear us. He didn't ask again even though clearly there was 1/2 a sandwich left in the basket. Beer was good and cold!! read more
