Went to watch Raiders vs Saints game because it wasn't being broadcast locally and Side Pockets has NFL Ticket. We were happy to see that they had it in the big screen with the Chiefs on the other two big screens. I saw them make accommodations for people wanting to watch other teams. The atmosphere was fantastic. Several groups were watching NFL games, while there were several pool tables being used. There were a few families with young children. The food was good and the large portions make it a great value. I saw several people with to go boxes including ourselves. It was pretty clean for the most part. Our server was very good. But overall, the food, drinks and ticket delivery was slow. Still giving 5 stars because we were in no hurry and had a really good time. read more

From their facebook and the article I got the vibe it was a Cocktail Lounge/Bar with live music etc. We came on a Friday night, there was a good amount of people in the bar. Everyone seemed to be in good spirits enjoying their drinks. We sat at the bar and the bartender Julian helped us. He was very friendly and approachable. I order the Suga Suga How You Get So Fly (it is an espresso martini with a cinnamon rim and a brown sugar syrup) my husband got the Mr. M Berry. Unfortunately I did not like my drink, I drank my husband's drink. His drink was good. Mine tasted very syrupy and artificial in flavor. We decided to stay for one more drink to leave on a good note. I ordered a Tequila Old Fashion (not on the menu) and my husband got Moxie's 4x4. These were a lot better than our first drink. For my old fashion it was very thick and syrupy, but I let the ice melt for a while and it was a better texture. I plan on coming back with some girlfriends and maybe trying some new drinks. As well I think I would like when they have live music more. They were playing really loud club music. Rap and R&B. Don't get me wrong I like that music. But not at a Cocktail Lounge Bar. I was hoping for something a little more relaxing and sensual. Dimmer lights and music to match that vibe. I know it's new so maybe they are still trying to adjust the overall aesthetic. Overall it was a 4/5 maybe a 3.5/5. I will give a more updated review my second time around with the live music and other drinks. Bartender and service: 5/5 Prices are reasonable. Bar is clean and well kept. Menu: 1/5. They are hard to read and flip pages.

Tucked on the periphery of the Wichita State University campus, nestled among frat houses and dilapidated dorms (does anyone even live in Brennan Hall anymore? Is that even a thing?), Field House has been a stalwart since my days as an overly ambitious coed with an ego as unending as the construction on Kellogg. With beer options as varied as Miller Light, as craft as ShockTop, and liquor options that stop just short of Fernet, the Field House isn't for city slickers with perfectly coiffed cowlicks hoping to sample artisan cocktails, and imbibe in sipping tequila. It is however, the perfect spot for those of us in our late 20s and early 30s who never forgot the power of a $5 you-call-it, and the allure of a bartender whom we grew up with, and had a crush on 15 years ago. If you're looking for an economical way to lap away your sorrows and meet a stranger that you'd met once before at the SigEp house a decade or so ago, Field House will deliver. But unlike the days of my reckless youth, I am now old enough to sip my Frio with class, and only occasionally take over the Touch Tunes juke box to put Saves the Day, Panic! At the Disco, and Alkaline Trio on blast. I am also young enough to get straight up drunk on Rumple Minze, eat a bag of cheese Doritos, and toss darts errantly at a dart board or a wall, whichever happens to appear closer at the time.
