got my naval pierced and it was such a great experience. my piercer explained everything and answered all my questions i had about it. it was very clean and i liked the lighting but music was a tad loud but didn't bother me. during the piercing it was very quick and easy and not painful. she was great at helping me with the process and talked everything through on what she was doing. overall would go back for another piercing. read more

My wife and I went there to get ring tattoos. A woman did the work. I don't remember her name. The tattoo was ok. Some guy was there (who I was later told was the owner; To this day, I'm still not sure) acting like someone in his life tells him how great he was on a daily basis. I thought we we were on a hidden camera prank. He was that ridiculous. I don't care if someone is the best tattoo artist on earth. It's difficult to give someone like that a dime. read more

Well the tattoos by Paco (I think that is his name). Are good my girl gets all her work done there. No offense the music they were playing was screamo and very loud which normally I have no problem with but today it was a bit too much! Also they smelled like the wacky stuff today no offense but professionalism I believe goes further with calming music or some rock not screamo and breaks that they all take are very long when they say give me 5 it sometimes means 30 or more minutes. However the work he does is amazing! read more

Went to Sick Ink with the understanding they do good work and they stand behind their work. It was pierced with no cover over open wound no AD ointment. I didn't even realize I was bleeding till I got in the car and blood was all over my clothes because of the negligence of not covering the freshly pierced belly button. I emailed the owner with pictures of the infected belly button with the response back " who is this?" He was a totally inconsiderate asshole. All I asked for is for the owner Jessie to re pierce my belly button since it cost me 60 00 for a ring that was picked for me; a piercing that got infected by simply no bandaid and a cunt that should of been fired for ignorance.. Not happy at all with the lady who does piercings, told her I needed a specific type of piercing due to being allergic to certain ones, mind you I don't touch my piercings, and I clean my piercings 4-5 times a day. I'm not one to write negative things about companies. But I'm just very angry about the experience I had here. Went for a tattoo 3.5 months ago and when it healed, this was a month after I got it, parts were missing meaning the artist didn't go deep enough, and I wasn't upset with that it happens no big deal. But getting it touched up is where I was having issues. I called to come in and they said yes come in at 5:30 we will take a look. I get there at 5:30 and they had no idea what I was talking about and I had no appointment and nobody would tell me to come in just for a touch up and turned me away and the lady was very RUDE about it. Called the next day to "make an appointment" and girl one the phone admitted it was her fault for not communicating that I was coming in so told me to come in same time 530. I did and they let me in but owner looked at my tattoo and said the placement where I got it was the issue. And I told him it healed like this, not even a month later it was missing pieces and I wasn't wearing shoes or socks that would've rubbed against it and I wasn't out in the sun at all bc of quarantine. I even said I tbink it's bc the artist didn't go deep enough but it was okay, and he said no it's bc my foots Callaced (however you spell that) and I've talked to few people who have a tattoo in same spot and they got theirs 6 years ago and no issue like this and never got it retouched. We made an appointment for a week later and I put down $40 deposit. I get a cal few days later saying bc it's a different artist they're gonna charge me another $10 so I said whatever fine. I get there at my appointment time that I confirmed for 530 mind you. I get there and they tell me I'm an hour late and they said no it was for 430, she has another appointment at 530 and they tried calling me. I got no missed calls from them or anyone at the time they said they called me. They said to reschedule would be ANOTHER $25 downpayment and if I wanted an earlier appointment with a different artist it would be more. Well now my touch up officially cost MORE than when I initially got it for $60 and that's just for down payments alone (65$ total) and that's before the actual cost and tip. DO NOT GO HERE! All they care about is money and not the customer. I've talked to few people who've gotten touch up on tattoos with in a one year mark and it was free but here I am paying full price PLUS more for a touch up. I've never received such horrible customer service in my life. And the way they talked to me was very rude as well which I didn't like and I've worked on customer service. I'm high disappointed In my experience and I'm never coming back or recommending I did not get any of my money back so I pretty much lost, or in other words they stole, $65 . read more

One of the tattoo artist by the name of Johan is rude as hell. I went to sick ink with my friend and her son. Johan starts to work on my friend tattoo while her son and I are talking about 10 minutes later Johan the tattoo artist comes out his face and says can you stop staring at me while I tattoo which by the way we were not staring at him. when talking to my friend's son and showing him a picture of my tattoo Johan happened to picked up his head at the same time we did and says that sh*t he then process to say that he's a D*ck I bit my tongue and stood quiet and then Johan says he doesn't know why he's like that so I just reply nicely maybe that's something you need to work since you have to deal with people and that's when he flipped out. He stated that he doesn't need to deal with people he only needs to deal with one person which was my friend at that moment. He again stated that he was a D*ck for the way he comes out to people I couldn't hold it in any longer so I told him that he is right he is a D*CK. I then had to walk out cause I was about to flip out. 5 minutes later the girl that was in the front happened to come out to say that her boss wanted to know if everything was okay. After telling her what happened she tells me that he told her that the reason we was arguing was because my friend's son and I was talking to her and she was moving a lot which was BS cause that's not the reason we argued. I can't say much about the other tattoo artist but for sure I would not recommend any one getting a tattoo from him. read more

This is the second time I had and AWFUL experience with piercings at Sick Ink. I tried to get my forward helix pierced, the girl completely missed my cartilage, only pierced skin and I had to permanently remove the piercing- waste of $40 dollars. About a year later I went back to get some new jewelry for my helix (jewelry change fee went from $5 previously to $30 now, absolute THEFT if you ask me). The piercer allowed me to choose a hoop that was too small for my cartilage, and proceeded with forcing the far too small hoop into my piercing. Two weeks later I had massive swelling, a brand new keloid scar and a PRESSURE ULCER from how tight the jewelry was, resulting in an even more impressive waste of $60 dollars ($30 fee, $25 for hoop, and $5 tip bc I felt like I had to). Before I went to a different studio in a last ditch attempt to save the piercing- I called sick in to see what type of metal their jewelry is thinking I could be having an allergic reaction to the jewelry. They essentially told me I was dumb for thinking that, it's not possible to have an allergic reaction to their jewelry, and failed to express any concern for my piercing or attempt to help me solve the problem at all. You can save yourself a lot of pain, stress and money by going to a different studio for piercings!!!!! read more

Got some work done last week by Jay, very impressed and have received several compliments on my most recent tattoo. Appointments are preferred and usually take a week atleast to get in depending on what you're looking for. From what I've seen, piercings are generally available for walk-ins. One thing that would be a change for the better would be fewer people behind the front desk. I've been there several times now and there's almost always someone different behind the desk. It gets to the point where you wonder whose an employee and who isn't. Overall, I've seen good work come from the shop, it's clean and efficient. The artists really do great pieces of art. Jesse and the entire Sick Ink team are amazing. I've been wanting a new tattoo for nearly 20 years but didn't have a clear idea what I wanted or who I could trust to do it. She said she couldn't help me because of covid. I don't understand why people can get their ears pierced there but I can't ask about new jewelry for my current piercing? This tattoo shop is owned and operated by some of the rudest, most unprofessional people I have ever done/tried to do business with. I had a small tattoo done by the owner, then booked an appointment with one of the assistants to have a larger piece done by the owner at a later date. After waiting for months, I got a call from the office manager to confirm my appointment. With that, she declared that not enough time was booked for the work I wanted done, and that I'd have to reschedule, which would be almost a year later! Desperate to get the piece started, I tried to negotiate with her and the owner to get it started, then finish at a later date. After much contention and rudeness from both of them, I was told I was "wasting [his/owner's] time". I should've gone someplace else then...my fault. But I went ahead and booked that (longer) appointment for almost a year later. In the meantime, the owner recommended another artist at the shop, so I booked an appointment with him for just a few months later. My plan was to have him do the work, then have the owner do something else when that time came. I then got a call from the office manager scolding me for booking 2 appointments with 2 artists. When I tried to explain to her and the owner my plan to get 2 different things done, they told me again that I've wasted their time, they canceled my appointment with the owner, and refused to return the $100 deposit! At this point, I had to go through with the appointment I had booked with the other artist, or I would've been out another $100 deposit. Several weeks prior to my appointment with the other artist, I sent him an email with detailed info for what I wanted, complete with photos and descriptions. My appointment was on a Monday morning following a big tattoo expo/completion, where he had competed. Upon my arrival to the studio, I quickly learned he had done absolutely nothing to prepare for my appointment. He spent the next hour trying to read through the email I sent, while trying to draw something up very quickly. I could see he was struggling to come up with a design I had asked for. He became increasingly irritated and annoyed with me and the fact that I wasn't willing to allow him to slap some half-hearted drawing he came up with on the fly on my body. With that, he refused to do anything, returned my deposit, and cancelled the appointment altogether. After such a nightmare of an experience, I will never do business with this shop ever again, and I would never recommend them to anyone. There are so many other shops with talented artists who do amazing work, but who do not have the superiority complex, rudeness, and unprofessionalism the owner/employees this place has. read more

Jesse told me $100 but I wanted to get a tattoo by Mark and he clearly told me $200 and I showed him exactly what I wanted the next time I came back to make the appointment and he switched up and told me the price was going to be $400 for two 3in butterflies on my rib (very simple outline with little shading). I walked in & was immediately helped by Amanda, who also ended up being the piercer. She was super fast, knowledgeable & professional. I would actually consider driving two hours just to have Amanda do all my piercings from now on. Extremely displeased with my first (and length) experience at Sick Ink. I walked in on a late Sunday afternoon to ask for the size of an ear cartilage barbell. Well the moment I walked in I was greeted with awkward, unfriendly, and unwelcoming looks. I asked simply, "can you tell me the size of this (removed said barbell from my ear and held it in my palm for the employee to see) piercing? Its missing one of the balls and need to know the gauge and length so I can buy replacements." This employee proceeds to respond with "uh that's an 18g". I follow up with "do you know the length?" "Oh I don't know that." "Ok well do you have any available to purchase?" This guy walks over to a cabinet takes out a silver barbell and shows it to me and says "is this what you're looking for?" "Well I was wondering if you maybe had any colored ones on display?" And I go to hold my piercing adjacent to his and was immediately interrupted with "You can't touch this one. Do you want to buy it or not?" I said "no" and walked out. My review points: A)No one should be opening and running any facility that can't train their staff to appropriately welcome a potential new client. And isn't that just common courtesy?! "Hi, how can I help you?" WHILE SMILING. I walked in feeling like I either did something wrong already or as if I was interrupting their day. B)If you can't tell me the length of a certain piercing then you clearly aren't qualified for the job. Furthermore, wouldn't such a facility have some kind of sizing chart or measuring device??? C)Do you really think that I'm going to touch a piece of jewelry that you had to glove up and unlock from a cabinet?? Why not just write "stupid" across my forehead. Complete insult to my intelligence and ignorance on your part for judging me. D)The kicker?? Well this employee who so "graciously" asked if I wanted "to buy the piercing or not" couldn't have walked away from me faster. HEY, HOPE YOU GUYS HAVE A GREAT NIGHT AS WELL! I would like to start off saying these people are not professional or caring what so ever. They are extremely ignorant. I put a down payment on my tattoo and that day I found out I had some issues that I wouldn't be able to get a tattoo anymore. so I asked if I could just get a piercing instead with that down payment because apparently it is not refundable at all, which is hard to believe cause it's a private own business so it could be done. Went there a couple weeks ago for a price quote and was not only disappointed but pissed off. I knew exactly what I wanted and where. I had it printed the size and font I wanted and went in for a quote. The interior is all "death metal and gore" which is a common misconception of people with tattoos. I show the person who talked with me what I want and he goes "I need a more accurate description to give you a price. Anywhere from 140-300 for what you're asking for." Did I mention that I had exactly what I wanted? I showed him (again) the paper I had with exactly what I wanted and he told me again 'it wasn't enough to give me an accurate price' and then told me to 'hit the road'. I've been to many a tattoo parlor and this was ridiculous! Everyone who I've met that has gone there needed a touch up within a year because of fading and is thoroughly disappointed. read more

I came in to get my nose pierced and when I paid at the counter beforehand the girl said it was $35 and I asked if its still $35 for a hoop, not a stud, and she said she wasn't sure, but still took the money. I was a little confused and was going to double check after, so it wasn't a big deal. The girl who pierced my nose wasn't very friendly at all. She came over with a stud and I said that I wanted a hoop (like I told the receptionist) and she was all irritated about having to go look for a hoop. So she comes back with hoops and I had told her that I just wanted a normal hoop when you get a nostril piercing. There were balls on the hoops and I said whichever one is the typical nose ring, well, she pierced my nostril with a septum ring... There were two balls hanging from q huge ring out of my left nostril! I told her that's not what I wanted and she was pissed at me (she even said so). I had to have her take the bull ring out and put in the normal nose ring... But it wouldn't go through, so she had to re pierce it. It wasn't a good experience at all and if I were someone who didn't have a good pain tolerance then this manager would have been notified immediately. It was pretty uncomfortable from the start and I just wanted to get out of there, so I didn't say anything, but do plan on calling. I'm also now stuck with a huge nose ring even though I asked for a smaller ring that will hug my nose. Not sure what happened to Sick Ink, but I have gotten plenty of tattoos here over the years and do not plan to ever come back. read more

I went in to get a quote tattoo, knew exactly what I wanted where I wanted it. I was with a friend and she wanted a tattoo as well, she knew everything she wanted to. They made us wait for a good 30 minutes before someone even asked us what tattoos we wanted. Then when we told him he said I'm not doing that, then he got mad at my friend cause as we all do we want something specific. He just kept telling her no I'm not doing that or it will have to be 4 times as big as you want it. I asked him for a simple quote in script it took him 45 minutes to go online and find a website so he could print it, then when I asked about a price he said maybe $100 for mine and maybe $70 for hers. It is 9 words no frills just words hers was only 3. Then when I said fine I'll do it and it was over he charged me $150 and he charged her $110! I have 9 tattoos so I know how to take care of them my tattoo is all scared up there are spaces where the ink fell out, my friends tattoo is even worse. read more

Got my navel pierced here 6 months ago. It hurt a lot more than it was supposed to, and I got the feeling that something was horribly wrong. But I figured, hey, they're the piercers, they'll tell me if something wasn't right, right? WRONG. Over the next few months I noticed something didn't seem right with the piercing, so I went back multiple times to have it "looked at". Well, apparently, "looking" at a piercing means glancing at it for 2 seconds over the counter! They told me it looked "fine" each time, like they weren't sure why I was there and just wanted me out the door. Well, after experiencing pain that I was not supposed to be feeling, I finally went to another shop for a second opinion. Apparently my body had been slowly rejecting my piercing FOR THE LAST TWO MONTHS. They told me it was done too shallow and it is beyond saving. I had to take my jewelry out! 6 months of pain, and all for NOTHING! Yet Sick Ink said my piercing was "fine"! I will now have a scar and may not be able to have it repierced to fix their mistake!
