Sibyullee Flavors of Seoul is located at the ground floor of Ayala Malls the 30th. I was hesitant to try this place since the food is on the pricey side. But, my officemates told me that the food was pretty good and that we should do the group meal.
We ordered the Dakgogi Cheese BBQ Set for 4. The set includes the following: 1 Dakgogi Cheese BBQ, 200g Fresh Beef Belly, 200g Pork Belly (Fresh or Marinated), 1 Pajeon, 4 Soup, Choice of 1 Volcano Kimchi Fried Rice or 4 White Rice or 2 Dolsot Bibimbap and Unlimited Side Dishes. Our group went for the Fresh Pork Belly and 2 Dolsot Bibimbap.
The Dakgogi is grilled right at your table and it also comes with melted cheese, corn, and egg. The chicken was tender and the marinade was spicy sweet (which I didn't like because, well, it was Pinoy-style...too sweet!). If it was a bit more spicy, it would have worked well with the melted cheese.
The dish which I actually liked the most was the Dolsot Bibimbap. I loved the crispy rice at the bottom of the stone bowls plus the veggies that came with it were still crunchy. Yum!
Overall, it was a so-so Korean lunch. Price point is good for the group meal we ordered. In my head though, for Php500 per head, that's how much a Korean BBQ buffet would be in Manila. But, if you are not into Korean buffets and prefer set meals, give this restaurant a try :) read more
