A friend from uni has come down to Sydney for the weekend, so I ride out to Cremorne to meet him for breakfast. It's a long ride and by the time I get there the sun is high in the sky and beating down on the earth like an abusive partner.
We take our seats at the Siborg cafe, just around the corner from the main road, and therefore a little more conducive toward casual conversation. The waiter is very friendly and takes our drink orders, he brings us water.
Sitting outside is a little windy, but the wind is soothing and cool compared to the sun and I am thankful for the multiple umbrellas propped up around me.
I order an eggs benedict with salmon but ask for some greenery on the side, as the dish in its true form does not come with any. "Salmon with foliage" jokes the waiter. Classic waiter joke.

Despite being so close to Military Road and even being able to see it from my vantage point, Siborg cafe has a relaxed and lazy (In a good way) atmosphere. It's situated on a paved walkway and the trees and bushes surrounding us are comforting and serene.
We down some more water and get the bill. I don't remember how we came to the decision to go to Siborg, but I'm glad we did. read more
