Birthday celebration turned into a major disappointment…read more I chose Arcade Monsters for my 41st birthday after calling and visiting beforehand to ask about the bar. I specifically asked whether they served Tito's vodka with soda and lime and was told they had a full bar. That was a deciding factor in booking. During the party, drinks were served without anyone explaining that the "liquor" was wine-based. I only learned that after ordering my third drink. My guests and I had been led to believe they were getting actual spirits, and it was embarrassing to have to explain the difference after the fact. The food was just as disappointing. The chicken nuggets were so bad we threw them away, and a guest told me their child became sick after eating the pizza. The private room was hot, and the fans blew napkins and other things around the table. I spent more than $800 on the room, food, drinks, admission, and fees. The only part of the event that went as expected was admission. I contacted management to request a refund for the non-admission charges and have not received a response to my follow-up asking what they intend to do. This was supposed to be a special birthday celebration. Instead, the bar was misrepresented, the food was poor, the room was uncomfortable, and management has left my complaint unanswered. I would not book a private event here again.

Communicating your needs directly to your staff is simply not enough to keep your food safe. I do not eat pork. Even though I added this to my profile before the cruise, the system failed to save it. I verbally informed my servers at every single meal including the breakfast and lunch staff at Royal Court going over the menu each time. On our last full day at sea, two separate incidents occurred: first, lunch soups at Royal Court arrived with unlisted pork (sausage in the lentil soup and bacon in the clam chowder) not disclosed on the menu, leaving the servers completely unaware. That night at dinner, after explicitly requesting pork free sides with my beef entree, my plate was still served with pork. Worst of all was the dining supervisor response. While she did apologize for the menu error regarding the lunch soups, she placed the full blame on me for the dinner incident. She claimed I had not informed the staff, and later stated that when a guest notifies a server of an unlisted restriction, the server protocol is to direct the guest to Guest Services to update their file. None of the servers I spoke to throughout the entire trip ever gave me this guidance. Instead of taking responsibility for her team failure to follow Disney own procedures, the manager deflected blame onto the guest. Ending our last full day at sea this way completely ruined our vacation experience. Disney heavily advertises its handling of special diets, but their lack of staff protocol execution and defensive management proved otherwise. I will not be returning.

If this had been our first Disney cruise, I'm not sure that I would rush out and do another one, truth be told. On our previous cruises, everyone we encountered on the staff, from the Check In crew at the port to the stewards, to the random Cast Members we would come across around the ship, was friendly and welcoming. Here the staff seemed harried and tired, like we caught them at the end of a very tough shift and they had nothing left to give. While the food was still excellent, the service was not at the same level as our previous cruises. We simply adored our dining teams on the Magic and the Dream; taking pictures with them at the end of the cruise. This time, with Jonathan and Carlos, it was very transactional. There was no connection or anything engaging with the team. They were certainly pleasant but the Disney magic was lacking. Our room steward, Arawan, was efficient, but I only ever saw him twice: Shortly after we boarded and the last night of the cruise when we were preparing our luggage for disembarkation. He certainly kept the room clean, so I do appreciate that! However I noticed some things, maintenance-wise in the room that displayed a lack of Disney's attention to detail, such as some rust spots in the bathroom. I would expect that from Norwegian, but definitely not from Disney. One night at the hot tub there was a guy openly vaping and staff only came over to tell him the hot tub was closing, not that he could not smoke in this area of the boat. At some of the trivias in the various entertainment venues, we either got inundated with offers for drinks or completely ignored, there was no in-between! In addition, staff broke my husband's luggage. Points to them for trying to fix it and sending an apology basket, but now that we are back on land, he has to spend time and energy filing a claim for the damage and going through that whole process. Hopefully we recapture the magic on our next Disney cruise, as the Fantasy is my least favorite of our cruises so far.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, it has two golf courses, A "ZOO", arcade and go carts. Now I did some research on YELP before coming here and knew they had all that, but it hits different when you actually go yourself. The first thing you see is a candy wall then a decent gift shop. I was a bit disappointed with the customer service and that's why this place only got 4 stars from me. They weren't exactly rude, they just gave off the vibe that they didn't want to be there at all. Anyway, the one thing I didn't see on YELP was that there's an age limit for the go carts and my son was too young (he's 4yr). That was the whole purpose of us coming here, but I can't blame anyone but myself, I should've called first and asked. They're mostly for older kids and adults, they're single riders only. My son's not a big fan of golf so I decided to check out the arcade. It was nice, there were a few games that didn't work but the ones that did were great. The place was clean, but it was very small. Played all the games in 30 min, except pinball. We then walked around to see all the wildlife they had to offer and it was pretty cool. It was cool to see the gators around the golf courses. A few of them are also difficult since they are in Japanese only, so it'd be nice to have a little guide on how-to-play. Most are pretty intuitive, but some are more difficult to figure out. Our last visit, one of the basketball machines wasn't working and the skee-ball was a little wonky. The 1 vs. 1 games on the 2nd floor were fun as well. We always end with a few games of pinball on our way out. Some of the games you can see the wear-and-tear since my last few visits, so I hope they are doing well enough where they can repair or replace them soon. I don't think I've tried any of their food or drinks, but there's a lot of shops nearby to eat and drink before or after visiting!
