It was unfortunate that the arcade and all the slides were closed in the early evening (when you can finally go outside to avoid the Orlando summer sun baking you alive) and everything aside from one bar was closed. We managed to get a few drinks for the kids and us. Folks were *generally* (see below) well behaved and we brought our pool noodles into the river to avoid the steep floaty fee. We were not expecting as many drunk adults trying to skirt the floaty rental requirement or entitled kids climbing all over the rocks that clearly said "do not climb" but that's how it is sometimes.

Staff are obsessive suddenly about "NO PHONES" on, in…read morelocker rooms and beyond. Why? A handful of repeatedly egregious, disrespectful violators, have sadly ruined the experience for EVERY member. The logical solution would be to temporarily suspend these persons after their second violation, rather than sternly chastising ALL members in the little TV lounge area texting their boss or their family. This is what this small area should be for! We all have a life & need to communicate. The chairs screech when moved. Please do something! We need a place to sit and communicate. The cafe is too loud and the chairs screeching across the floor is hideous. Not a nice atmosphere; much too noisy and chaotic. The hospital cafeteria is 1,000 times more pleasant and has comfortable booths and no loud, screeching chairs or loud meetings or people on obnoxious speaker phones. This is not a Cafe! This gym cafe doesn't stand a chance to survive. The doctor is smart & kind; she deserves better chairs & a quieter area for her patrons. Put up a curtain if need be! Now it's like an ultra corporate military boot camp; no longer fun & relaxing. Were stalked by the phone militant towel gal. It's as if you committed a crime texting your boss. Some of us are working while there; we're working 'On Call' & are "required" to check our messages. It's 2026: people must WORK! It's boot camp chastising by one female lacking people skills; always acts stressed/annoyed; like she doesn't like her job & can't wait to go home. Please remove her from weekend shifts. She wants to rush us out of there. Many members notice this. Have none of the Managers or Supervisor's noticed how she talks to members in locker rooms? It's as if we are an imposition to her rolling her towel cart around. The other gal Claudia, with short dark hair & glasses is awesome. We resent being babysat. Were accomplished adults & it's an invasion of privacy. I don't need to be asked if I'm done with my towel! When done, I put it in the cart! She needs to leave members alone please. . We do not want to be micro-managed by this one towel gal. It's too aggressive & controlling.

Okay, I've gone from three stars, to four stars, and now back to three. Am I just fickle? No, I…read moredon't think so. Some endemic problems just go unnoticed until a moment occurs when such issues are revealed. Two issues, one old an unresolved, and one new have resulted in this downgrade. The old problem is unresponsive management. I have had a constant compliant about informing gym users to USE provided sanitary wipes after they use equipment. I was told in January (it's now nearing the end of May) that new signs were in the works. To date: nada. A gym up in Ocoee had a health contagion spread for reasons like this. The new problem is that management simply avoids the customers. Just this morning, a woman with developmental disabilities got he phone thrown at the door. A professional trainer - a man who is quite competent and caring - witnessed the event and took it upon himself to help sort this matter out. As he was helping settle things down, a manager sat ten feet away, in an office, door closed. Harris Rosen, a fine and charitable man, would not have tolerated this at the place where he once swam and chatted with his customers. Poor management is endemic, but I'm disappointed that it happens in a place where the line staff is so good.

My daughter enjoyed competing in the 50-meter long course. The water temperature was spot-on and the pool itself was spotless. The whole complex is well maintained with clean restrooms and working drinking fountains. You can tell the staff takes pride in keeping things organized and swimmer-friendly. There's convenient off-street parking all around the facility, and plenty of hotels and restaurants nearby making it perfect for multi-day meets or out-of-town families. It can be a little tricky to find the pool for the first time since it's tucked away off the main road, so don't rely solely on a quick glance at your map. Once you're there, everything's easy to access. We only wish there was a bit more spectator seating. With big events like this, the stands fill up fast. Overall, it's a top-notch swim venue and a great experience for swimmers.

I'm increasing my 4-star review of the College Park Pool to 5 stars. I've been here a lot lately…read moreand have had a great time. The past few Saturdays I've been here have been awesome - the weather's been sunny and bright and it's been nice to be here. During my visit two Saturdays ago (I think?), I played Marco Polo with some young kids and one of the lifeguards, who I guess was taking a break (there were other ones working) and was in the pool & swimming. It was fun! The pool is kept clean and never is overcrowded. There's a diving area and an area toward the more shallow parts of the pool that's good for swimming and just hanging out. The more shallow parts aren't overly shallow or deep - right before the "deep" (diving) area begins, the deepest part of the other area is I believe 5'6" or 5'8". (I can't remember, exactly.) The staff is very personable and friendly, though it appears that just about everyone here is in either high school or the first few years of college. They're young, but experienced and knowledgeable. As I said in my initial review, the pool does close rather early, even during nice Summer days. There may be other pools in the area that stay open longer, so if you're looking for an evening swim then those are the ones you should check out. This pool still is great, though - friendly staff and patrons, it's clean and accessible and is free to use by the community. Training/exercise classes must be paid for, but it's free to go there just to swim when courses/etc. are not scheduled.
