Have been here twice now. Food amazing on both occasions. You must be prepared for spicy though!…read moreThankfully I have lived with a couple cooks who prepared me well. Tonight I had Mysore Masala Dosa to start. If you haven't had dosa it's an Indian version of a crepe. This one had a potato and onion filling along with a couple side sauces. This is not a spicy dish but one of the sides was, if you like it that way. For my main I went with Chicken Afghani, which is definitely on the spicy side. Tasty af though! Sauce is cream, lime juice and spices, with a whipped up egg on top. Also had dessert tonight which I normally decline. Rasamalai sounded too good to pass on. Cheese dumplings in clotted cream. I was glad I indulged. The staff here is also amazing. Everyone recognized me as a returning customer even though my first visit was opening night when they had a wait list out the door. Glad to see them doing well.

The menu is INCREDIBLY well labeled for all kinds of dietary needs, which I always greatly appreciate as a gf girly. I'm sad this isn't near me, as I'm still thinking about the pad Thai hours later. Cute spot, reasonably close street parking, music wasn't too loud. Will definitely return if I'm in the area in the future!

Only nitpick was that they accidentally gave me chicken instead of tofu in my Venus Bowl, and I only found out after I got home -- but they corrected their error by promising me a free Venus Bowl with tofu the next time I come in. Though the food is tasty, it's not as amazing as others keep raving about. Perhaps my expectations were too high given the price point. Portions are reasonable and filling. Bottom line, I'd still give other menu items a try next time.

The most disappointing part of the meal was the chilli chicken. It tastes like chilli chicken made from one of those cheapo Indian food marinades you get at your basic grocery store.
