Appointments are recommended when possible as they have gotten busier and busier as the secret gets out. I posted this review five years ago, and just wanted to let everyone know, we still go to Shui Spa religiously! They are amazing.

I'm in town for the St. Jude's Country Music Marathon and I needed a massage badly. I saw Shui Spa had a $10 off coupon and after checking out the photographs, decided to give them a call. I am so glad I did! I got an amazing 60 minute deep tissue massage and a 25 minute foot soak and massage for $75 ($85 minus the $10 off internet coupon which I had on my phone but the girl didn't ask to see it). The massage guy was amazing - he had really strong hands and he was able to get deep into my muscles. It's rare to find a masseuse who can do true deep tissue massage for the entire hour. I asked him to focus on my tight shoulders, lower back, hips, and calves and he did. Shui Spa was a little different from the massage places I'm used to because they use towels instead of sheets. So, when you undress, you lie down on a towel and throw a towel over yourself. The place was very clean and I loved the green decor. They had bundles of bamboo as decorations. They have the bars above the table but he didn't use them. This is going to be my go-to place when I'm in town. read more

Came here twice in one week because it was so good. The staff is courteous and the place is very clean. I enjoyed a 30 min foot and 30 chair massage for only $50. I'm normally a 1hr Table massage kind of girl but it was the best foot massage I've ever had. They even soak your feet in hot water before which I thought was great. I was having a killer migraine and came here because I read massages help. I left feeling relaxed and headache free. Highly recommend. read more

I was very impressed with this place. I discovered reflexology a couple years ago and I love it. This place was more salon-ish than other places I've been but that's a good thing. Usually the language can be a challenge at these places but I had no problems with it here. The massage was wonderful...I had the one hour foot massage as I have an old foot injury that had flared up. The atmosphere was relaxing. My only issue and it's not really an issue really...I watched her fill my bucket and there were no additives added to the water. Every place I've ever gone always added some sort of herb like stuff and dried flower-like stuff to my water. Now maybe it serves no purpose to add these things but..I've come to expect it, ya know? No huge deal so I didn't say anything to her about it. Also...my foot soak was like 5 mins only but again...the massage was great. I should also say that my hour started AFTER the foot soak. Most places start your hour the second your behind is seated in the chair. Therfore, you get your ENTIRE hour of massage. Something else...and I really liked it, she spent the entire time on my feet. Most places wanna squeeze your feet for a bit and then move on to your face, head, back/arms & quads. If I'm getting a foot massage ... there's a reason...my feet hurt! Needless to say, I'll be back because I enjoyed the services. Maybe next time...full body deep tissue massage. read more

Best massage ever!!! My husband and I went in for a couple massage and foot massage and it was the best massages we have ever had!! They really take their time and get in the tension spots (which we had alot) without it hurting like some massage places do! This place is so good!! It is a REAL massage! If you are an athlete, someone who stands at their job, or someone who had back/neck pain from stress this is the place to go!! Just got home from a great 90 minute massage at Shui Spa. The atmosphere is very relaxing, and the rooms are dimly lit with soft music in the backgound. I almost went to sleep twice. The therapist was excellent - not a sore spot left in my back and neck (which was my initial reason for going). I'll be back to visit soon. read more

If someone buys services at this spa for you, make sure you get a receipt. After two visits and four phone conversations, they could not find where my son had previously purchased a gift massage for me. Ironically, I was going to purchase a massage for my boyfriend so that we could go together. You would think they would have tried to accommodate us considering they would have sold more services, even if there record keeping is not thorough. Poor service. read more

This is a good place to get a facial and massage in the Hendersonville area, prices are good too. The only thing that is somewhat bothersome is that it's next to a hair salon and there is not individual music in the rooms. So if you are in a room on the right side of the spa you'll hear women cutting up and laughing often. The staff doesn't speak much English which is nice since the one thing I hate most when getting a massage is the masseuse carrying on a conversation. This place is very good. A girlfriend was visiting from Boston and she recommended Shui Spa by chance (from her phone). . We both chose the foot reflexology, which was great. We did an hour treatment. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Environment was clean and peaceful. Will definitely go back and try the scalp massage and other offerings. read more

My husband and I got the couples massage. We are here visiting from California and it's our 25th anniversary. Even though we are staying at the Opryland, the massages were too expensive there so we looked for a local place. Boom! Found this gem! They massage therapists are pros, they are kind and polite. The deep tissue massage was excellent. I usually like it a little softer and my husband likes the true deep tissue strength. I asked one time for a little softer the the male masseur accommodated to my needs with no problem. Same with my husband requesting the female masseur to go easy on him. We both left feeling refreshed, relaxed and invigorated to keep exploring the sites of Nashville. Just a heads up, you take everything off e Celt for your underwear which they use to tuck a towel under to always keep the massage modest. It was an excellent experience for us and we are moderately regular massage seekers from California so if it's your first time it might seem strange but just relax and enjoy! read more
