The clinic is short-staffed, its response time is sub-standard, and its financial department appears not to function. I encountered these problems after a failed implant procedure in December 2024. My dental insurance partially covered this, and I paid the rest. Dr. Shah suggested she would do a complimentary 'courtesy' gum procedure instead, as a credit for the failed implant. However, after obtaining second opinions, I decided not to proceed with the gum procedure and requested reimbursement instead. I informed Dr. Shah on September 22, 2025. On November 4th, Dr. Shah emailed me, saying that she would look into the billing because they had been short-staffed, which is why there was a delay. I sent Dr. Shah a reminder on February 4, 2026 (three months later), but I still haven't heard back. It appears that the staffing issues continue. BEWARE when you select a clinic!

He opened his practice on a Sunday morning. My daughter was comfortable knowing she didn't have an audience of other patients. He decided to do a large filling. She didn't have any pain from this tooth. He explained Exactly what he would be doing to both myself and my daughter. He ACTUALLY spoke to HER about her treatment! She began to cry when she saw the needle, he joked with her and said it was ok to cry. She was shocked she wasn't being told to STOP crying. He was kind, compassionate and funny! He told her of all the possibilities with this tooth from here on out. From sensitivity to broken filling to root canal. But also explained to her that he will be there for any problem that pops up. She left so happy that it was a great appointment! She felt accomplished and he made her proud of herself. She has been symptom free! I called to schedule an appointment and to see when and if they could get me in...i called once the office opened...unfortunately took 2 hours to get someone to answer the call... but besides that they got me in same day...the office staff were great very friendly and caring...they didn't make me feel nervous and were understanding. Dr. Wong was very personable and a pleasure to speak to. I only waited about 10 minutes to be seen because i was completing paperwork...Dr. Wong came right in assed my pain and the issue we discussed the best route to take..which would be an extraction...they did it immediately...no pain whatsoever it was very easy...i was in and out of the office in 45 minutes. The best experience I have had with a dental office and I'm terrified of them. I will be returning to them for all my dental needs. I am giving Dr. Shah's Ringwood Family Dental five stars because of the root canal he performed on…read moremy teeth on Thursday (December 27, 2018). I was in a lot of discomfort prior to the procedure, and I was a little apprehensive because I had root canal previously. I knew that it could be painful. However, Dr. Shah made sure that I expressed little to no pain. Even when he had to give me the needle he made sure there was very little discomfort (slightly shaking the skin prior to inserting the needle). He explained in detail everything he was planning to do, and most importantly, he applied pain medication to the root as it was exposed via the drilling. Accordingly, the level of pain/discomfort I experienced was minimal (a slight sharp pain, which he quickly addressed). As I previously stated, I was familiar with the procedure, and I was treated well by the dentist who was responsible for that root canal (limited discomfort and limited pain). However, my overall experience now warranted "one star" more than my previous experience. I was in significant pain/discomfort prior to this procedure, and I'm feeling a lot better now even thought I have to go back for additional work (temporary filling has to be replaced with a permanent crown).

They wasted my time with a 3d imaging machine, in order to attempt to scare me into accepting this unnecessary dental care. Months later, this same dental office charged me a fee for the services provided on an annual checkup, after assuring me that I would not be charged and that insurance was covered. Upon inquiring about this bill, I was spoken to in a very aggressive manner, and was provided no help to resolve the matter. Needless to say. I could not recommend this dentist any less.

He is not an honest dr. My daughter went for a root canal since my friend recommend him. He told…read moremy daughter she had a cavity in another tooth and should be fixed when she comes back. That black spot was brushed off when my daughter was brushing teeth at home. Then the dr said that tooth is very easy to get food stuck in that spot so it's still better to fill it. He could not tell if that was just cavity or food stuck in the tooth with so many years of experience. He's trying to get pay more. And the receptionist, I assume that is his wife, attitude is so rude when your medical insurance is not acceptable by them.

During Covid, they try to minimize the number of patients that are in the room, including the waiting room which is very important to me. Doctor has mask and face shield on at all times.
