My car had seen better days after two moves and several car trips with car sick kids. My kids were complaining about a smell in the back, and affected them enough to wear masks in the car. I had a miscommunication with another detailing service, and needed a last minute interior detail. I called Showroom and he was able to fit me in last minute, despite how bad it was. Recently moved to Ventura from Washington State. Unfortunately our cat accidentally missed the litter box in our car on the move down. This was not a nice smell, especially on a hot day, despite soaking the area with Nature's Miracle the same day as the accident. After searching Yelp for custom detail shop, found Showroom Detail close by our new apartment. After taking it over to Ladell for an estimate, I was immediately put at ease with his confidence in his ability to solve the cat urine problem. It was a two day process involving shampooing the interior, treating with additional enzyme cleaner, and using a strong deodorant. I am happy to report a complete removal of the smell. We also decided to have the car detailed on the exterior while he had it with great results. Ladell put a clay bar cleaning and wax job on the paint. Car finish was better than new. Ladell was obviously very experienced and had a great personality. He was very funny and very professional in using his appointment system and making phone calls. Ladell is the man! I took my truck to him after some wreckless offroading that left severe scratches in my paint. I honestly thought the scratches we're past the clear coat and unfixable. I also have black paint which showed every swirl mark from incorrect wash/dry techniques. He quoted me 2.5 days to fix everything where other shops said they could have it done in a day. I was glad he would be taking his time, and when my truck was ready, I was shocked. Every imperfection was gone and the paint was flawless. The surface was silky smooth. He paid attention to every detail and my wife even jokingly asked if he swapped out for a new truck from the dealership. Ladell is great! I was pretty upset after my first new car got accidentally sprayed with dry-wall mud. I parked my Honda Accord at the edge of the L.A. fitness parking lot so wouldn't get dinged by other cars. But, when I came out from the gym it was sprayed with drywall mud from the construction next door! Ladell told me to come right over and he gave me an estimate that I could take to the construction company to have my car detailed properly so it wouldn't ruin the paint. He was very kind and reassuring, which I really appreciated. He fit me in on a Saturday to do the work as soon as possible. AND, when I brought the car back in (after taking it to the carwash immediately - per his instructions), he let me know that once it was washed, the damage wasn't as bad as he feared. He reduced his estimate by $200. And now my car looks FANTASTIC! Ladell is honest, kind, and he does awesome work! It doesn't get any better than that. read more

Well, I probably shouldn't be writing this review because it's only going to make Ladell more busy, BUT he did such a great job on my 2013 Nissan GT-R that I have to give him credit where credit is due. After recently moving close to the beach, I realized after seeing many of my neighbors' cars with rust and bad paint from the salt air and blowing sand, I knew it was important to get a good detailing and protective finish on my Audi Q7. I found Ladell and he quickly got me in to do a full interior, engine compartment and exterior detail on my vehicle. I often take my 3 dogs in my car so dog hair and drool are pretty normal things I would find on my seats and carpets. Ladell made my entire car sparkling, smelling and looking better than new!! I had just bought a black Rav4 as a surprise for my daughter. It had several areas where the paint was very dull. He fixed some of the areas with wet sanding and some areas with buffing and then a protective clear coat over the whole car, now it looks brand new! He gave me a great deal compared to other places. Ladell is such an easy, cool guy to work with. I was out of my element and intimidated by some of the fancy cars he works on but he assured me he loves working on ALL cars no matter what they are, and I can tell that is true. From customer service to the actual work, Ladell is a true professional. My Toyota Camry which was a rental car, had 5 years of stains on the cloth seats. My kids were not blameless either. He said it could be done in one day, then called to ask to keep it another day to dry it out. Not a problem at all. I picked it up and the back seats were perfect. Front passenger was almost perfect, but I know some stains are there for good. I had the seats cleaned by another detail guy years ago and they did a terrible job. My Infiniti G37 had interior smoke damage from the recent Woolsey Fire so I called Ladell for a quote. Most auto detail groups take days to get back to you but Ladell got back to me within a couple hours. After I explained the situation and the horrible smell in my car, he gave me a quote over the phone site unseen. He didn't try to charge me extra or up-sell me on any products or cleaning once I brought my car in. He's dealt with many smoke damaged vehicles like this before, including his own, from last year's Thomas fire. He kept my car over night to run a chemical cleaning filter inside and it came out great. He detailed the dash, leather seats, and tan carpeting and they look and smell like new! I took my new car, still in the plastic wrap in for a paint sealant and the interior to be protected. When I picked up the car, in the blazing sun, I couldn't see anything but the metal flake and the highlights. Ladell acted like he was happy and proud with his work. His enthusiasm was contagious and I happily paid and made an appointment for the family Jeep. When I got back home, under the garage lights, I saw a car that looked bad. There were alot of defects in the sealant or paint, including a couple of scratches (where he was resting some detailing stuff, seen when I picked up the car) that were all sealed in. I brought the car back, pointing out the scratches on the roof and the many, many defects, some looking like etched spots, others were raised, looking like errant drops of clear material. He said they were all due to pollen. It was hard to believe. He did a quick rub out of the scratches in the roof and reapplied sealant to the area (a week later and you can still see the scratches). Later that day I asked, if all these defects were part of the new paint, and he wasn't able or willing to get them out, why did he proceed with sealing the car? Where was the phone call, warning me that there was a bunch of defects in the paint? I reminded him that I said, when dropping off the car, that if there was any paint correction needed, the dealer would pay for it. He didn't have an answer. He did offer to reapply the sealant for no charge. The interior detail was okay, but he missed some spots, and there were streaks on the windshield that became evident later when it was humid. I was reluctant to write this review because the whole situation is so sad. Ladell seems like a really nice guy (why would i have left my new car with 23 miles on the odometerwith him), but things turned out poorly. I was hoping to protect my beautiful new car by spending a not insignificant amount of money, but instead got a slightly shinier car with sealed in defects. read more

I brought Ladell a 1984 Mercedes I had just bought. Although it had low miles and was in generally good condition, it had sat for a long period and the paint was dull and uneven, the cloth and vinyl surfaces were dusty and stained throughout, and none of the shiny bits were shiny any more. It came back looking like a different car -- the paint was glossy, all the chrome was polished up, the interior (and especially the carpets) was spotless, and every nook and cranny had been cleaned and treated. The seats (a soft corduroy-like material) looked like new. The car looked about as close to new as a 33 year old car could get. read more
