The undercarriage, however, was completely rust covered. After an internet search, I gave Steve a call. He was gracious enough to spend about 20 minutes on the phone explaining to me the mechanics of rust remediation and agreed to take a look at my car. Ultimately, Steve and Rob removed the rust and replaced two safety plates underneath, one on the gas tank and the other on the front differential. On their recommendation, struts, shocks, bushings, and all of the mechanical linkages were replaced. The result of all this work is that I have a 15 year old car that literally drives like new. I cannot say enough about the job Steve and Rob did for me. They were always caring, considerate, informative, and accommodating. And, the price was extremely fair and work was finished on time when promised. Do yourself a favor and give Steve a call if you need a restoration. Get lucky like me and find a couple of mechanics you can really trust.

Thats crazy! After leaving and researching it, the old Manager Kurt left and opened his own spot. I called, made an appointment and am glad I did!! Staff was great, they have so many more tint percentages and we found a perfect match. The place itself has a vibe....sick decor, awesome music playing, free water and soda as you wait. It was very busy, but they had reasonable pricing and got me in and out quickly. I was more impressed that when I got my Jeep back, there was protection on the carpet and steering wheel as well as an instruction card hanging from the mirror. No scraps of tint and no water marks dripped at all! So happy I made the 45 minute drive to my new place for mods! Thanks Kurt and crew...will definitely be back.

I have to say, it was a pleasure dealing with John and The Goonies…read more One of my Yelp buds is always saying, sell the old Jeep and buy a new one. Here's the thing with old cars and I have two of them. They no longer make the freon to charge the AC, some parts are hard too come by and it costs to repair them. Psst! When you have a Jeep, its a car that will run and run and run... My 2001 TJ, There's 150K on the clock and the engine light came on. I also noticed the tranny was starting to slip. I'm not going to any old tranny shop, I'm going to Goonie's Garage. Meeting with John, the guy is a Jeep Einstein. I show him the car, he drives it and knows exactly what's needed. I go into the shop and see all the Jeeps getting some crazy mods. Lift kits, wheels, and frame repairs are all happening here. My Jeep? I had the frame done a year ago and the transfer case done two years ago. Now the tranny needs work, that's it! There is nothing else to these cars. I dropped off the Jeep and told John to take his time. This is my baby and it has to keep ticking for a few more years. He went to work, he called me saying he found some original tranny tubes from 2001, the replacement tubes being made today wont rot. Yes, I told him to order them as well. After all said and done, I'm seeing better gas mileage? My Jeep is now running like a Swiss watch! If you have a Jeep, don't go anywhere else. Talk to John, he'll set you straight on what needs to be done. Goonie's and Jeeps never say die!

Many…read moremembers of my family and my friends have been brining our vehicles to that location for over a decade, as it was formerly owned by Henry and Joe. In all the years, I never had a single issue with H&J. They were mechanics with integrity. The new owner of "J&J" lied to me several times throughout my first experience under his command. When confronted regarding the initial lies, he constructed more lies. Expect him to "find" problems with your vehicle and expect an inflated bill because of it. Do not expect him to have your vehicle ready when he agrees to. Do not expect a courtesy call to inform you that it's not actually ready yet either. Expect no one to answer the phone at the shop for hours after the agreed upon pickup time. Above all, expect him to prioritize his road service over your scheduled appointment and to lie about the reasons your service was delayed. These interactions are difficult to summarize into words. Something you unfortunately understand following a first hand experience. If you want to feel like you were taken advantage of and lied to, this is your guy. The new owner of J&J recently acquired this business. Most of the positive google reviews are older and should be credited to the former owners only. Those guys were worth their weight in gold. His recent positive reviews are clearly orchestrated to offset the incoming negative feedback.
