The kitchen is the same, the layout is different - it's much larger now as they expanded it to the west unit, so it has plenty of seating. The flooring is nice (no longer sticky) and new, and the divider between the old and new spaces is nice and clean. I ordered a glass or orange juice and my wife had coffee. It was breakfast, so I wanted to try their roasted apple fruit pancakes with a side order of sausage patties (the breakfast side orders are on the left side of the sandwich menu by the way), and my wife had their farmer's skillet. Ambiance is a typical family restaurant. Big glass windows in the front, a clean, nice interior with nice comfortable booths, and the service was very good. Our waitstaff checked as to whether the food was good, and if we needed anything several times. The temperature inside wasn't hot or cold. I took my coat off and was comfortable, as did my wife, who is very intolerant to cold. This also had several law enforcement people eating there, which is always a good sign. We'll be back. The sausage patty was large too - it looked like a hamburger (but obviously wasn't). The Cinnamon Roll Pancake was exactly as described - the waitress offered to bring out maple syrup, but said most people didn't use it so I passed on that (and didn't need it). My wife enjoyed her omelet. I had a root beer (I know, but it was lunch time in my weak defense) and my wife went with the coffee. She said she didn't like the coffee - she isn't one who goes for the fancy coffee - we don't have a Keurig or Nespresso machine - just a plain old Mr. Coffee Jr at home, and if she didn't like the coffee, that says something to me. Service was very prompt from the moment we were greeted at the door until we left. The mens room was clean. The deodorizer in the urinal needed to be changed - it was completely exhausted.

A portion of its journey from the shipyard to the Rock River was actually made overland. The interior of the main deck is appointed with attractive woodwork, and there is a bar. The upper deck is open air. Ample seating is provided. This was a lunch cruise and our group was seated and served upon our 11 AM boarding. The quality of the food (catered by Maxson) and service exceeded our expectations. We began with rolls and a generous tossed salad with Italian dressing. Our entrée choices were beef bordelaise, fried catfish, and a vegetarian plate. The fork-tender beef was cloaked in a red wine sauce and the fish, though heavy on the crust, tasted fresh and was greaseless. Our sides were fresh steamed veggies and a twice-baked potato. Chocolate cake was served for dessert. There were pitchers of lemonade and water on the table, and coffee and tea were offered. Our leisurely cruise upriver lasted two hours and ended at 1:30. Travel is limited to a 7-mile-long navigable stretch of the Rock River. Narration was provided at various points of interest. We spotted at least two bald eagles onshore. Just delightful!
