I was so hungry and they were so tasty that I forgot to "feed" the camera first. We both got the same burger - a Single Knuckle Burger with pepperjack cheese, along with lettuce, tomato, onion. My wife ordered their loaded Bloody Mary, which was very good - it's a shoe-in to win the Best of Ogle County if people try it. The burgers were very good. They now have a draft beer, so I ordered one and it tasted fine. This is basically a side of the road bar and restaurant, ambiance wise. Nothing fancy, but not run down either. Just good food.

Good burgers (we got 4 different kinds, all cooked perfectly), great soup, sandwiches, and fish. The sides were all delicious. Even the fried foods weren't greasy, it was some great comfort food. I feel bad I didn't catch her name but she was attentive and fun, threw out some jokes and even got us to get some of those famous fried Oreos (which were incredible btw) I don't know when I'll be back in Freeport but if I do, I'll definitely be coming here for a meal.

My family ate some wonderful hot meals. We ordered, Chicago Dog (2x), Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Brisket Dog, Italian Beef, Crinkle Cut Fries, Cheese Curds and Fresh Cut Fries. We had a great time here. We met the owner, Phil, and talked to him for a little bit. The owner radiates such enthusiasm for each customer that's contagious and is no wonder why this place is so popular and has over 4-Star glowing reviews. He was so kind to us that he made us, from scratch, complimentary two hot Pretzels and Onion Rings. If you've ever had hot Pretzels before... You've never tried these homemade Pretzels. As we were dividing each pretzel apart, it was so soft to the touch and the steam was coming out. Almost something out of professional commercial, in slow motion. The food, the atmosphere and the entire staff was genuinely amazing to serve us and other guests in the restaurant. The menu selection is large, so be sure to bring your hungry belly. They also offer gaming rooms for those that enjoy gambling . Overall I will be returning here as this is my second time coming here. First time was December 24, 2024.
