As a rule I do not normally write reviews for services and products received. But this was an exception to the rule. I could not be happier with the attention and service I received from ShoreView and North American Van Lines. Todd's in home inventory count was spot on and the binding quote I received was very reasonable and within my anticipated budget. On top of that there were no surprise hidden fees or additional charges once the move was complete. What I was quoted is what I paid. Karin's eagle eye over the logistics of my move was invaluable and very helpful. Moving needless to say can be stressful and Karin's constant communication with me reduced that stress considerably. And finally Luis. My driver and lead mover. I cannot say enough about Luis and his team in terms of their professionalism, attention to detail and the exceptional care they took in packing and protective rapping of every single piece of furniture. And they did it in record time. Under three hours at both ends. And they had to deal with multiple flights of stairs. Everything arrived at my new home in perfect condition. The sofa presented some challenges in terms of making the turns into my apartment but Luis and his team quickly came up with a solution and got the sofa in without incident. I interviewed several moving companies for my out of state move. ShoreViewNorth American Van Lines, was on time for our initial interview. Todd, the estimator, actually walked the house, took notes of everything that had to be moved, asked good questions and also included the items that I had in storage. I had not had a single other company do a physical walk as most did video or none at all. The price was much more affordable than I had anticipated. Todd, was very professional, very helpful and provided a contact for an actual move coordinator (Karin) that would continue to follow up with me before, during and after the move and provided me with all necessary paperwork. The move had to be delayed (due to buyers of my home) and I had to adjust the delivery dates due a physical issue, but none of those created any issues with the company. The driver and move coordinator contacted me prior to the load up date and everything rolled right on time w/o any issues. The driver and the crew were very thorough and very professional. Every single piece of furniture and every square inch of said furniture was covered in moving blankets and strapped in. The move coordinator kept me updated as to the delivery date as did the driver. Again they arrived right on time, the movers were on time and professional and everything was delivered safe and sound and right on time! I would highly recommend using them. read more

ShoreView recently moved my mother from Central Florida (where she had lived for nearly 70 years) to Middle Tennessee to be near my family. While the move was much needed and overall will be positive for her it was highly stressful. From their initial estimate for her move to the final box being delivered we were treated with care and consideration. Todd DeWoody provided our initial estimate and then answered many, many questions and provided multiple adjustments to our move schedule. He was available at night and on weekends and always seemed to be happy to hear from me. Karin Tiedeman was our move coordinator and she was also very helpful and allayed our concerns numerous times. Following our delivery last Sunday Karin has followed up several times to ensure that everything is okay. Finally, the team that packed and loaded my mother's house was incredibly efficient and professional. Our driver, Jerry, was fantastic, too, as was the delivery crew who loaded everything into my mother's new home. Every member of the delivery crew was exceptionally polite and they even joked with and teased my mom throughout the process. My family and I needed to move two storage units from Florida to Connecticut. North American Van Lines was the second mover I called, and they put me in touch with Shoreview Moving and Storage, the agency who handles moves out of that area. Move Consultant, Todd Dewoody was my first contact. I immediately felt in good hands. Todd was polite, efficient, helpful, and knowledgeable. Organizing our first diagonal transcontinental move from FL to WA seemed daunting given all the horror stories we'd heard about long-distance moving. However, thanks to Todd and Karin at ShoreView, the experience was surprisingly smooth and stress-free. We recently moved from Orlando to Chicago and the whole experience was seamless and professional. The crews at both ends were super punctual and polite. The ShoreView team worked hard in the heat without complaint and with abundant positivity. I really admired and appreciated both their hustle and the care they took with our stuff. We had done most of the packing and as we are unpacking, we only found one slightly damaged piece which I should have packed more carefully. Also, Todd DeWoody, the agent and the estimator, was excellent. Another company quoted us TWICE as much as North American/ShoreView. Communication from him, Karin T., and Brian the driver was OUTSTANDING. My only complaint is that one of the moving crew was a MAGA and made some political comments which I ignored but he really needs to keep them to himself. There are plenty of us in Florida who despise Trump, DeSantis and their fascist agendas so let's stick to the moving business and keep the conversation about the weather, sports, family or anything except politics. read more

Due to closing arrangements on the home we sold in FL, we had to put our belongings in storage for about 10 days until we could move in. My husband and I recently moved from Melbourne, FL to Marietta, GA and used ShoreView to pack up and move all furniture/pictures/kitchen/pantry/garage. He was easy to work with and his pricing never changed from his original estimate through moving day. Ron Mitchell and his crew did a fantastic job packing everything, I can not say enough great things on how meticulous they were in packing items and wrapping furniture. We used ShoreView for our move from Central to Northern Florida, and our experience was nothing short of perfect! I was actually referred to ShoreView by a competitor that couldn't complete our move and it was maybe the most fortunate referral I've ever had. The sales process was excellent, they sent someone over in person to provide an estimate with no obligation. Our crew was friendly and efficient, they were careful with our possessions and kept a good attitude despite lugging our lifetime of stuff down from a third story apartment with no elevator. I would use them even if they were the expensive option, but they weren't! Our quote came in lower than most options, and I shopped around. His knowledge regarding interstate moves and packing delicate items is amazing and he is one of the nicest individuals you will ever meet. I've moved 19 times in the last 50yrs, many over 1000 miles, and this team was amazing. From the initial contact with ShoreView and the estimator to the driver and his teams to load/unload it could not have gone any smoother. Everybody in the logistics chain communicated exceptionally well and timely, far above expectations. The quote we received was lower than their competitors and they worked with us on figuring out what needed to be cleared out to make the total fit into our budget (and truck). The driver was always punctual and his team loaded the truck so well there wasn't room for one more box. The driver was so kind he called us in route and let us know the weather & traffic conditions. Great is not a strong enough word for 5 Stars! My movers were so phenomenal. They were on time, (actually 15 minutes early!), clearly communicated what they were going to do. Blaze and Corey were so fast yet professional and efficient. I wish I had half the energy of these wonderful men! Everything was picked up and delivered with exceptional care! I truly can't say enough how satisfied I am with the service I received. I would definitely recommend to anyone who needs to move. I am so happy to be in my new home and it wouldn't have gone so smoothly without the help of Shoreview/North American. They did all the heavy lifting literally. Everyone we dealt with was professional and friendly. Mike came out and gave us a quote and came back and brought us boxes. Karin was in the office and gave us our delivery date and name of driver. She checked in with us with details and answered our questions. Bruce was our driver and brought out a great team of guys who loaded our stuff. It was a challenge to move us from Florida to West Virginia mountains but they did it. Bruce rented a smaller truck in WV (van couldn't get to our mountain road) and brought our stuff to us in one trip and had a great team of unloaders on our end. The move was flawless from beginning to end. They are not brokers, which you want to avoid! I had cancelled prior "movers" after learning they had brokered out my move to a substandard company thus resulting in loss of money. From the moment the rep came to my house, I knew I was in qualified hands. The team who loaded then unloaded was the best one could imagine. I closed on my house on a Friday, and the movers were there on Saturday so I would not have to wait for my furniture. The driver, Brandi, was kind and compassionate. Her team treated my furnishings as if they were their own. She kept in contact with me during my drive from Florida to Ohio.
