It is in a great location and they seem to be busy so I suppose that must mean something. We had lukewarm fish and hard chips. I don't think I'm going to try it again. It is situated on the road to Brixham in a small parade of shops and there is parking outside. They have competition from a Chinese takeaway and for my money I think I would rather go there or pop into the nearby Co-op and get something to take home and cook.

The blend of Earl Grey was very refreshing and the home made carrot cake and lemon sponge pudding (both with yummy Devon clotted cream!) were to die for. For mains we ate locally caught crab sandwiches and a jacket potato with tuna mayonnaise - both hearty, filling dishes giving us plenty of energy for the journey home. The decor is slightly bizarre, featuring old cameras and pictures of geese, and when it was only my friend and I in the cafe one felt as though one had to speak rather quietly for fear of disturbing the calm atmosphere! However this was a delightful tea rooms with generous, reasonably priced, and delicious fare on offer. The scones arrived before the tea, and I had time to cut and put jam and cream on 2 scones before it arrived. No apology, just some muttering about bagging their own teabags taking time. Cream tea was excellent, homemade scones with plenty of jam, cream and strawberrys. Would visit again but on a quieter day.
