My friend was there for about a week. Horrible service. When she buzzed for help, it was at least 45 minutes for a response. When I went to visit her, I'd see every other room had a light on for assistance and the nurse's station would be empty. When I did see staff, they were very helpful but obviously not enough of them. Food arrived cold. If you don't drink coffee, you're out of luck. She had to regularly remind them of her medications because they were never all brought at the correct times. She was never seen by a doctor while she was there, even though they were aware she needed one. read more

Worst place your loved one could be. They don't respond to call lights for hours. My "person" was left stranded in a bathroom and told wait till night shift gets here. Clothes disappear weekly. Soiled chairs. Hanging fly traps from the ceiling, really make it look plesant for the seniors. Floor smells like urine. No air conditioning or quality air. For some reason, full oxygen tanks are never obtainable. Meals for diabetics never served at designated times. They drug your loved ones, until they die. It's easier to give a lorazapan then figure what their very obvious none anxiety problem is. Infact they don't even care that your loved ones cry all day and night. read more

It's difficult to find any help on the floor! Both of my grandparents were here (years apart). And both left with infections, and left worse than when they came. read more

This is the worst place to ever leave a loved one unless you can be there everyday to check up on them. I love the way they glorify the new section on line when the old section is the PITS! Soiled chairs, carpet and transport chairs. Even the people that work there are discusted with owners who keep saying things are going to be upgrated! I have had 2 of my family members at this place and both endened up with sepsis and endended up dying. I will say that some of the employee's at this place (not the ones that are just passing through) are very devoted and I am sorry they have to work in such terrible conditions. Stay away from this place, they leave them soiled and sitting in wheelchairs it is shameful. Had an entertainment area but if you are not there your family member cannot attend, a very depressing facility. read more

I was there for 20 days for rehab after foot surgery. Everyone that I encountered from nurses, CNA's, therapists, housekeeping was polite, courteous, and professional. My only issue was the food. It wasn't all bad but there seemed to be a lack of communication with preferences. And I was on a double protein diet but I only seemed to get it at breakfast but not all the time. It was printed on the ticket so not sure where the break occurred. Maybe need an Expedited? read more

This place has gone from a very "on top of it" facility to a run: don't walk from this place. The staff are there only for a paycheck and have NO CONCERN for your loved one. Asking for a cup of coffee for my aunt took 4.5 hours. Tests aren't done quickly and might take days to be performed much less to hear the results. The tv didn't work for my aunt and maintenance showed up and said "What do you want me to do about it?" The staff acts like you are a terrible inconvenience. No one checks on you, they all sit at the desk sitting on their fat asses on their phones!! If I ran the place I'd fire every damn one of them. The insurance companies need to be told and this shit would stop. Call channels 2,4,7. They had her on a heart healthy diet and no sodium. The dr said the sodium was low? WT Hell? Get your loved ones out of this place. The place looks like it never gets cleaned either. read more

Keep your family out of here. Two weeks ago, my 95-year-old, totally blind grandfather was released to this facility from a week-long hospital stay. In his first day there he fell three times, while totally unattended. The third fall broke his head open, so he was back to the hospital to get staples put into his head. He is now in hospice care at another facility. If you're going to leave your elders totally on their own to fall repeatedly, you can do that for free at home. When we asked why there were no bed rails, the staff said "Bed rails are totally illegal in Michigan." Then how is it that every hospital has them, pray tell? The staff statement is demonstrably false, as a quick search of the Michigan.gov website makes it easy to find state guidelines around the very legal use of guardrails on hospital beds and the like. Now it's fun attorney time, on top of everything else. Stay away! read more

My parent was found by housekeeping yesterday, supposedly 5 minutes after checks from staff, with a bag taken from the garbage (according to the Director of Nursing) tied tightly around her head and neck. She was fine the night before and in the ER she gave conflicting statements and they're already preparing to discharge her. I called this place with my concerns about who is watching her and how they've been cited 36 times in 3 years, had no infection control inspections in over a year, and a poor ratio of staff to patients. My parent could be DEAD and it took me forever to reach anybody of administrative status to discuss this. They are saying they refuse to take her back because she's "suicidal". She has never been "suicidal" a day in her life and is completely lucid in the hospital. I do worry that somebody harmed her, but I'm getting no answers except that she's not welcome back and what I'm getting from that is STAFF isn't watching very closely. Do not take your loved ones here unless you want them to potentially die and also if you want to talk to ANYBODY in charge about the situation. They are flippant and indifferent. My stepdad has been to rehab on a few occasions and this facility is by far the worst I have seen. If I could give it 0 stars I would. He was put to bed at 9pm on Friday night; when I got there at 11:30am the next morning he was still in bed, laying down, not changed. He could not eat because he was laying down so his breakfast was just sitting on the tray in front of him and he was still wearing the same diaper as the night before. We had to ask the nurses to change him. If we didn't ask, he didn't get changed & he would have to sit in his own urine. "Physical therapy" consisted of one day walking up-and-down 1 stair 5 times and the next day walking up-and-down a hallway. The food is absolutely horrendous and the patients have NO choice of what to eat. They either eat what is put in front of them or they don't eat. I would starve because the food is worse than hospital food. I would never again send a loved one to this facility. read more

Poor service. I have a friend there. You can call the nursing station at various times at the Skilled nursing and it rings 20 + When and if you do get someone, what you ask is never followed thru. Very disorganized facility. Patient missed dinner once due to Dr appt,and they gave her a peanut/jelly sandwich for dinner and she can't even have that due to kidney problems. read more

Crabby staff. Throw a blanket at my grandfather instead of placing it somewhere. Then it falls off the edge of the bed and a man who is not supposed to be bending, lifting, or twisting (their acronym, BLT), is forced to BEND and pick it up himself. I don't care how annoying your patient is. I don't care HOW hard your day has been, you chose this profession, so do it with some class and dignity, and maybe a LITTLE empathy. You should never toss anything at a 90 year old weak man or ANYONE for that matter. Sick, disturbed, disappointed. Takes them 3 hours to bring medication, blankets, anything. Bring the meals so late after requesting that their cold and inedible. USE YOUR COMMON SENSE AND DO NOT COME HERE! read more

My father is 100 years old and is now living in a nursing home. He is in declining health and I am unable to visit due to the Coronavirus outbreak. I was called by a nurse two days ago who informed me that my father had fallen out of bed. His roommate heard him fall and pressed his call button and screamed for help. He waited 15-20 minutes and when no one came he called the police. It was only after calling the police who called the facility front desk that someone finally came to assist my father. To make matters worse, when I have called to speak to someone about this matter, no one has called me back. This is poor treatment of my father and a lack of compassion for family members. I am helpless in this matter. read more

My father has stayed here several times after his surgeries and I would highly suggest. The facility is extremely clean and the staff is excellent - from the receptionist to the nursing staff, physical therapists and social workers, everyone has always been friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I wouldn't have my father stay anywhere else in the future. read more
