Horrible Title company. They let me close on the house with the prior years taxes never paid! I became responsible and had to pay over 6k for the previous owners taxes. They finally reimbursed me after a lot of confusion. They were confusing my closing with another closing. A year later they send me a 1099-Misc for the reimbursement check! Now I have to PAY taxes on their reimbursement check as if it was earned income! So now I'm not really being fully reimbursed since I have to pay the government a percentage of that check. Wow this title agency is seriously the worst title agency and it has caused me so many headaches. Please please take my word for it and run the other direction! You'll save yourself much grief. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We worked with Lisa aka Lee Ramirez awhile back because this title company was automatically chosen by the bank who was selling us our property. We came in to sign paperwork as scheduled and were told we could get keys same day in like 30 minutes, just to go ahead and wait downstairs until they finalize everything. Two hours later, the place had closed and everyone went home, leaving us in chilly weather outside still waiting for keys. Because we had been promised that we would get the keys, we had arranged for movers and cleaners to come that day. All of that had to be cancelled and rearranged to several days later because we couldn't get a hold of anyone, including Lee, to get the damn keys. The receptionist and her constantly gave us a foul attitude everyone we tried to get someone on the phone to help us. If you want your closing process to purposely be held up for no reason and to get really bad customer service, this is a place you would choose. Otherwise, pay extra to use a better company. Even our realtor and loan officer said this was the worst service they'd ever seen. read more

I have been doing business with many title companies in the area, and never once have I had an experience this bad with a cash close deal. They are refusing to pay the money that was supposed to be collected at closing and conveniently, the agent who handled the closing is no longer there. Do yourself a favor and do not deal with these people. Moreover, they never pick up the main line - huge red flag! read more

I purchased a home and the employee at shore to shore messed up the HUD settlement statement and now the county is coming after me for taxes the seller was supposed to pay. Richard LInes either by mistake or just fraud put incorrect numbers forcing me to pay a fortune in taxes. Richard said at shore to shore basically said he WILL NOT fix it and oh well and now will no respond to any attempts at communication. They should be in prison read more

I've purchased several properties over my life. Never have I had an experience that matched the incompetence of this organization. I dealt with primarily one person who was, plainly, not very pleasant. There was another who stood in for person A when he/she was out. Person B, in the short exchanges, was very different (polite, helpful, responsive). However, S2S messed up title/paperwork various times. The closings were scheduled and rescheduled with less than 18 hours notice (this is somewhat common but it happened 3 times with all the rescheduling and shuffling). They sent a check instead of a wire (contracts don't seem to matter). Excuse? They were busy. Imagine if I sent a check instead of a wire? I work 14 hour days and have to try to have a life. I'm busy. I got it right and they weren't paying ME. They sent me a closing package BEFORE the liens were cleared. My realtor was disgusted with them. They don't respond to requests. They messed up my title 3 times (prior liens, etc). So much fell through the cracks. Oh yeah, the liens showed back up again after closing (even with my title insurance, hold-harmless, etc, etc). Of course they are not responding to us now. Frankly, I could go on and on about each and every screw-up but I think you're starting to get the idea. I can't find anything they did RIGHT. If you use them and had a good experience, great. My experience was awful. Pathetic. My reviews are usually saved for positives but I felt responsible to warn the community of this experience. read more

shore to shore title reviews If I could give them LESS THAN ONE STAR I would do it. What a miserable company to work with. They recommended we pre pay an additional quartrely HOA pament at closing however we received notice of non payment and late fees from our HOA.. it is clearly on HUD closing statement and should be a cut and dry situation. However the person who worked on the closing quit.. then another person handling the situation for us was transfered (no one got back to us with this) then finally a new person ..Steve..was assigned to help us he never gets back to us when he promises to.. WEEKS AND WEEKS HAVE GONE BY...then he says yesterday , Monday morning, that he will call back by this morning, Tuesday, the latest knowing full well he would be on vacation until the end of the week. RIDICULOUS We have stressed to them that we are in contract to sell the property and want this corrected as soon as possible so that it does not effect our sale. We reached out today to the receptionist 3 times to ask for a supervisor who's name is Sherry Falkner...we have left messages to please get back to us .. and all we get from the receptionist is BE PATIENT! !! SERIOUSLY WE HAVE BEEN PATIENT FOR 5 WEEKS .. she was snippy on the phone with me and almost indignant that I should be tired of being patient!!! AVOID WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST. It is a simple matter that should have been handled and corrected in a couple of days. . 5 weeks of our telephone calls is trying to sort this out is UNACCEPTABLE! read more

I have purchased many homes over my lifetime and the title company the processes the paperwork is very important. I just closed a a house and the entire staff at Shore 2 Shore was a pleasure to work with. Sean F was the agent and he is a very busy person with transactions in this office numbering in the hundreds. He was always curious and listened to my concerns and explained the way things would happen so I understood what was going on. Lynn B was his assistant on this closing and she was easy to work with and responded in a timely mater to all of my questions. I rated this as a 5 Star experience because of how I was treated. I did read some of the other posts that really slammed this company and I think it is important to realize that the title company processes paperwork and verifies everything to make sure buyers and sellers get the result they want. The title company is not the lender and can only act when everything has been accomplished by akll of the parties. The title company want to close as fast as possible. They do have to wait many times on the work that is being done by others. read more
