It's considered a combination shopping, dining and entertainment destination and one of the newer ones in Delray. It's got a plethora of stores and about 9 restaurants as well as places for yogurt, chocolates, and candies. Some of the restaurants like Burt's have been there since it opened. And some (like Terra) are newer. A few favorites have closed, but there's always something to see while strolling the easily walkable center. At the northern end, is the movie theater and entertainment center with bowling and arcade games, etc. We had stopped for dinner with friends at Batch and then enjoyed strolling and exploring. It was a lovely comfortable night to be out and about. And a lot of other folks agreed.

The Plaza at Delray is home to an impressive lineup of anchor tenants such as Publix, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Rack Room Shoes, Ross Dress for Less, LA Fitness, Ulta, Michaels, CVS, Longhorn Steakhouse, IHop, Duffy's and as well as established local independent restaurants, personal services and some physician offices. So, this is a place where you can get some grocery shopping done after your workout.

The typical shops and anchor stores still remain. The kids play place is still there, and the carousel I rode on as a child. It's no longer operating, but it was nice to see tucked away in the back of the mall in a corner that seems untouched by time. The shops that were open were warm and inviting. There were only 3 stores we went into but other than that it's so sad how much is closed. What made the experience 1 star is the fact how HOT it was EVERYWHERE. We were all super uncomfortable shopping. Honestly, ready to leave because of it. This needs to be fixed or just shut this mall down.

The retail portion is 70,000 square feet anchored by Sprouts which offers organic and specialty foods. Set to open soon is the Wawa, Good Vets, Maoz Vegeterian, At&T, Capitol Carpet & Tile, Rejuven Med Spa, Yolk, and Crown Wine, Spirits, Gourmet. Along with the restaurants and businesses Mainstreet will also include the 130 unit senior assisted living facility, Anthology. I tried out the Sprouts which has a nice prepared food section. Yolk is a solid breakfast and lunch option. The rest of the businesses will be useful to the residents of Anthology when they open.

The store is nicely laid out and easy to navigate. It's clean and bright and I found the assortment of women's clothes was much nicer than the Boca store. The shoe department was really good too. I ended up picking up a nice pair of sandals. The checkout line was long, but the police kept it moving and it went quickly. All in all it was a nice little shopping experience and I know I will be back.

There is also Art Basil, an Italian Eatery that offers pizza as well as many other choices. It isn't just food. There are plenty of places to shop as well. Plaza de lMar also has a beautiful Publix, a high end shoe store, a Chico's, A Thai restaurant and an ice cream shop. It's a wonderful and relaxing place to spend some time.

I recently came to the plaza to dine at the brand new Ah-Beetz New Haven style pizzeria. Parking was plentiful and the plaza looks well maintained but a little dated. Still there is a nice mixture of places to eat and services. These kind of strip malls are very common in this area of Delray Beach. It is pretty much like all the rest.

The shopping center is about 151,800 square feet and it has lot of vehicular traffic passing by about 38,000 cars per day pass by this mall, so the area is busy and there's about 150,000 living within 3 miles of the shopping center. In terms of restaurants, you can find Chili's, Keke's Breakfast Cafe and Miller's Ale House. Lots of parking.

The traffic pattern sends you north and to go south on Congress or East on the exit roads is next to impossible without making uturns.
