I was in Boynton Beach and decided to check out this mall. The Boynton Beach Mall is an enclosed shopping mall with tenants that include Macy's, Dillard's Clearance Center, JCPenney, Christ Fellowship, Cinemark, and about many other specialty stores and eateries. The mall itself looked a bit tired but I have heard, they plan to revamp the mall. The proposed plan would include: 1,420 multifamily units. 400 hotel rooms. 629,000 square feet retail. ... 65,000 square feet of general offices. 65,000 square feet of medical offices. A 20,000-square-foot fitness center. 10,000 square feet of fast food restaurants. Hope this becomes a reality and brings back this shopping area, which is in a prime location.

Sadly, this mall is having a hard time.... Retail has taken a hit from Covid and a number of store closings this year. Even before, however, this mall had been losing stores and visitors. We came a couple years back for a special event in their food court and once more people are out and about -- especially in this older residence demographic area -- they could come back if they get creative. It would be a perfect mall for outlets and discount stores to band together. Speaking of outlets, we came here to visit the Dillards Clearance Center in my search for a new flannel nightgown. You can tell by the parking lot, that this area of the mall is one of the bigger draws. The thing is they have a separate entrance from the parking lot -- so we didn't even venture into the rest of the mall to see what is still there. So, I'm hoping they can reinvent themselves some time in the future. It can happen (the Pompano Mall was dead before it was bought out and redesigned as the Pompano Citi Center).

The Boynton Beach Mall opened in October 1985. Retail big wigs Burdines, JC Penney, Jordan Marsh and Lord & Taylor drew people in. As they faded out Macy's, Mervyn's, and Sears would go on to open anchor stores. Fast forward a few decades and the American mall is dying. In 30 years only minor repairs have been done to the mall. In the past few years, the Disney store, Dairy Queen, Mrs. Fields, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Bucca Di Beppo, Toojay's, Littman's Jewelers, and Sears, have all closed or relocated. In 2014 Christ Fellowship moved in. Higher income areas like Palm Beach Gardens, Wellington and Boca are attracting the shoppers away from Boynton Beach. Outlet malls like Palm Beach Outlets and Sawgrass Mills Mall are popular with shoppers looking to save money. I normally prefer to shop online but my daughter needed some back to school clothes so we headed out to her favorite store Hot Topic. I usually hate shopping there but the staff was friendly and the store was neat and organized. We ended up having a pleasant shopping experience. What is the future of the Boynton Beach mall? With 18 empty stores in 2018 they need to figure it out quickly. Trends have shown that shoppers gravitate towards a shopping destination. They want entertainment, stores, and food in one area. Right now some people are wary of visiting the Boynton Beach Mall because they don't feel it is safe. Future plans could see the mall evolve into a multi purpose building with offices, restaurants and retailers. Time will tell tell if Boynton Beach Mall can survive our online shopping preferences.

This mall has been here since the age of the dinosaurs This place is close to home, but has kind of gone down hill. For a lack of a better word, this place is considered by many as "ghetto." We witnessed a fight in the parking lot not too long ago. Other notes: Not a lot of foot traffic which is good and bad at the same time. Some good stores and some popular while some are unheard of lol. Just a decent place to kill time especially if you are waiting for the movies or want some Auntie Anne's !

DO NOT BUY FROM MADAME BRIDAL I ordered and received a Mac Duggal jumpsuit and it did not fit. I contacted Madame Bridal (very difficult to get ahold of) to ask for another size. This $400 dress is not being accepted for return one day after receiving it. They are simply a warehouse of merchants' products and DO NOT have any customer regard. The responses by email are automated and uncompromisable. Please do not order from this shoddy company, order directly from the manufacturer or a reputable store. Response from the owner a day ago Hi Jell, we regret that you feel this way about our family operated business since 1985 in the same location. Our store follows the designer's guidelines. We always encourage our customers to order their actual size rather than a size or 2 smaller in the hopes that by the time they wear the garment they will fit in it. We will take up your case with the designer Mac Duggal. If there is any leniency on their part we will send you a return authorization. My addendum for Madame Bridal's insulting response above: 1) You have already "reviewed" my complaint and answered me with an automated stock answer email denying any return. 2) The jumpsuit size was determined by the Mac Duggal size guide. Your comment that I ordered a smaller size in hopes it would fit is insulting and proves your poor customer service as well as your lack of integrity. 3) My name is Jill, not Jell. DO NOT BUY FROM MADAME BRIDAL (AN FLORIDA ONLINE COMPANY)! When customers look at other reviews, your customer service speaks for itself...you don't have any. Please just refund me for the jumpsuit and stop showboating in an effort to cover up your disgraceful business practices!

Update 11/15/17 Today I took a stroll around the mall with my five-month-old son--to my surprise a lady approached me said that she was looking for someone that fits my age range--I was thinking selected and offered the opportunity to be a part of the survey sharing my personal opinions about different products etc.--she then asked me if I had time and I checked on my son- looked at my phone for the time and since my son was comfy and happy I told her yes I would participate and what do next-the lady was very customer service experience savvy and pleasant to speak with --I completed the survey and received $ for my contribution of sharing my opinion.

Today I came up for the Specialty Food Hall. This was a great attraction to what I would call a "B" mall. All of the basic mall stores are here which will meet most of my shopping needs. I did see a few empty storefronts and it was not as new and "shiny" as others but functional. I hope I don't sound like a snob but I understand why they would hold events... it is a great way to bring in new customers. Lastly, there was plenty of parking which is a plus in my book. Happy shopping!

If you know the area and you know the mall then you know what you're going to get. Not the greatest mall around, actually the only mall around. Place feels more like a flea market, with some of the vendors having fold-out tables and cloths over them. Some of the stores are only available at this mall unless you drive to Boca or Wellington. So if you want, let's say a Victoria secret, this is where you can. It's a bit ghetto though. From the parking lot all the way in. I probably wouldn't come here after dark. I can't see this place lasting too many more years.

DO NOT GO TO T-SHIRT STATION at Boynton Beach Mall. The lady who works there it's VERY RUDE and UN-POLITE. They give us two kids t-shirt size by mistake and we tried to change them by adult size t-shirts. We tried to explain the lady that she made a mistake but instead of changing the t-shirt she went ballistic and started shouting to us, very rude person; she blame us by her mistake. ZERO CUSTOMER CARE ZERO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

This mall is so dreary and totally needs either to be torn down and upgraded into a real mobile. It looks very ghetto when there.
