I just had a terrible experience with a manager at the Shoppers Drug Mart at Kennedy and Queen in Brampton. I purchased a $50 Telus card for my fiancé's phone last week. When he went to use it, we realized the cashier sold us $50 to Rogers so we were unable to use it. I alerted the cashier who called the manager. The manager, Bob approached me and said "ya?!" I asked if he was filled in on the situation and he replied with a curt reply of "ya and the answer is no, you can't return this!" I was instantly taken aback as I have never experienced such rude customer service, especially from a manager. Please keep in mind this is during the Covid pandemic so money is tight for everyone. I asked Bob what I'm supposed to do as the cashier sold me the wrong product. He shook his head and remained cut throat and shrugged his shoulders. I told him I'd appreciate a bit more respect being told no to something that wasn't my mistake. He began to walk away and told me I can't even see his face because of the mask he was wearing. I informed him it was his tone that was unacceptable and he continued to walk away and smugly said "have a nice day". I have never been so disrespected from a business or a manager. To top it all off, the cashier who heard all of this proceeded to tell me that the manager was her Dad, and stated "ya imagine growing up with that". Talk about unprofessional service all around. I do not recommend going here if you're looking for help from staff. I am now out $50 and have a horrible taste in my mouth for this business. read more
