My experience was still poor but give them two stars for trying to improve for others. I scheduled items for donation. A day before my pickup, the confirmation email said I had to have everything on the curb unless prior arrangements had been made with the call center. So I called about noon and left a message saying it was not possible for me to move items to curb. They were on the ground floor bedrooms. I asked for a call back to confirm and didn't receive one. The truck came and the drivers refused to move the items out of the house. I called again and got voicemail again. This time I wanted confirmation that my credit card would not be charged for the failed pickup. I haven't heard back. Obviously, I'm donating another organization

Very Disappointing Experience - Undisclosed Repainting on a $20,000+ Hermès Birkin…read more I purchased a pre-owned Hermès Birkin 30 from Luxe Du Jour in September 2025 for $20,782.04. Before purchasing, their sales representative described the handbag as being in 9.7/10 condition, without mentioning any repainting, refinishing, or other flaws. I have never used or altered the handbag since purchasing it. In April 2026, I reached out to Ava, the sales representative at their Irvine location, because I was interested in consigning the handbag through Luxe Du Jour. Unfortunately, she never responded to my text message. Around that same time, I gave birth to my baby girl, and with everything going on in my life, I lost track of time and didn't follow up. Recently, I decided to explore consignment again and contacted Madison Avenue Couture. They initially offered me a proposed payout of $21,200. However, after physically inspecting the handbag using a backlight, Madison Avenue Couture identified repainting around the bottom corners and rejected it. They provided written confirmation and photographs documenting their findings. When I brought this issue to Luxe Du Jour's attention, they claimed their UV-light inspection had found no evidence of repainting. They also emphasized that it had already been approximately a year since I purchased the handbag. I found this response particularly frustrating because I had actually attempted to contact their Irvine sales representative back in April about consigning the bag but never received a response. I also don't believe the amount of time that has passed changes the fact that I was never informed of any repainting before purchasing the handbag. Instead of offering a refund, Luxe Du Jour proposed consigning the handbag for $21,200. What disappointed me even more was when their sales representative told me they could sell the bag because "they are really good at selling." At this point, I have completely lost trust in this company. Why would I feel comfortable consigning a handbag through the same company that sold it to me without disclosing a condition issue identified by another reputable luxury reseller? More importantly, I would feel terrible if the handbag were sold to another customer without full disclosure of the repainting concerns. I would never want someone else to experience the same situation, especially after spending over $20,000 on a luxury handbag. Repainting can significantly affect a handbag's resale value, desirability, and marketability. Madison Avenue Couture's rejection has already demonstrated how this issue can limit resale opportunities. I formally requested a full refund from Luxe Du Jour's corporate management team, but they refused, citing their final-sale policy and the amount of time since my purchase. I understand that Luxe Du Jour disputes Madison Avenue Couture's inspection findings. However, I believe a company selling luxury handbags at these prices should take customer concerns seriously and ensure that material condition issues are properly disclosed. This is not buyer's remorse. I purchased the handbag based on the condition represented to me. Had I known about the repainting concerns, I would not have proceeded with the purchase under the same terms. I am extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled. After spending more than $20,000, I expected greater transparency, accountability, and customer service. My advice to potential buyers is to obtain an independent inspection before purchasing from Luxe Du Jour, especially given their final-sale policy.

Look for the MHA cardboard sign inside the corner display window to identify the correct driveway into the parking lot. The atmosphere is rather quiet inside, with very few customers usually, and they don't play music on speakers. It may feel eerie at first, but should become meditative over time. With patience and perseverance, surprising treasures can be found here. Our proudest score is a nearly mint condition original boxed set of Nat King Cole collection vinyl LP albums. Every time we listen to them, we thank whoever had the kind heart to donate them, and thank the store for giving us the opportunity to acquire them. Naturally, we donate to the store as well. We hope our own parted treasures find their way to good homes. Unfortunately, the last 3 times we tried to visit the store, it was closed during normal hours. We suspect the problem is with staffing. We have always only seen one super nice and friendly lady at the counter, so maybe they have a shortage of volunteers to keep the doors open. We really hope the situation will improve soon, because this has been such a wonderful place.

Their pricing methodology was a joke. I was hands on and kept a list of my items with the pricing. I was told this was a waste of time. Later, I found out why. All my collectibles were sold at garage sale prices. Also, items in my home not marked for sale were sold for peanuts without asking. I was ordered out of my home one hour prior to the sale start time on Day #1. They needed this time to "embellish" my sale without my knowledge. These items included fur coats on a rack, many purses of all sizes, scarves , "Chanel" sunglasses and professional jewelry cases. At the end of day #1 of the sale I arrived home with my house left unlocked and no staff present. My living room had been turned into a retail shop. The second day of the sale I arrived to my home earlier to be screamed at by the manager as their items from my living room were being packed up. No customers present.
