Why do they open early in the morning when they are not ready for customers? The produce dept. is never ready. There were a few bags of the sale yellow onions with rotting bottoms & skin missing. The zucchini were bruised & many had pieces of skin missing. There were about 3 bags of the sale b&b green beans that weren't worth buying. There were no b&b sal chicken thighs or legs. Waiting for truck as usual. They never seem to have all the items when they offer the special meal packages of "buy this & get these free". I wonder if this is happening in other shoprites as well. read more

I bought a prime rib right before Christmas and brought it home and put it in the freezer to cook on New Years Eve. when we started to cook it after being thawed in the fridge the prime rib stunk up the entire house and not in a good way. they would no take it back, not even for store credit. both the asst store manager and store manager dismissed me saying they don't sell bad meat which I would say was true 99/100 times but you can never say never. I for one will never shop in shoprite again so they lost my business over $100 piece of meat and I will tell others of my experience and they will lose more business there too. read more

The salad bar, sushi, and hot foods are always delicious! If you're looking to grab and go this is definitely the place to get lunch or dinner! I come here often for lunch and I've never been disappointed! Without a doubt beats a quick lunch at a fast food place. Food taste home cooked and healthy ( has some non-healthy options too for the folks who wants to indulge with fried chicken or Mac and Cheese). read more

So I stopped in ShopRite on April 30, 2020, I wanted to pick up Chinese food and since this was during the virus outbreak I figured I would get Chinese food at ShopRite as many Chinese restaurants were closed. I Purchased eggrolls, chicken with broccoli and pork fried rice. The fried rice which said on the container was pork fried rice was yellow rice and ham. This rice with ham is ShopRite's version of pork fried rice? It was positively disgusting. Then I tried the eggrolls, which were a heavy eggroll wrapper with nothing but cabbage on the inside not even a shred of carrot nothing no shrimp no pork just cabbage. What exactly does ShopRite think they are doing serving what they call Chinese food? Then I tried the chicken with broccoli, very underwhelming with under cooked broccoli and dry tasteless chicken. ShopRite you get a solid F minus on the debacle you call Chinese food. Please either close your Chinese section or improve your food. Otherwise check to see who was cooking on April 30, 2020. Forget the Pharmacy. IF you have a wedding, funeral , or medical emergency out of state or out of USA and you need your prescription early don't use Shoprite Hazlet NJ. Other Pharmacies understand things comes up and you won't be neat the pharmacy when you need your refill. Other pharmacies don't demand you see your doctor when when you just need your regular monthly medicine 1o days or so early so you can go on vacation etc . Michelle in Hazlet insulted and wasted my time as I stood before in pain explaining my situation Michelle did what she could to torment me and make life more difficult. I have a tooth ace which came on last week. I spoke with a local dentist who gave me a very high price which may be common in USA. I have traveled the world and in the past had perfect dental work done in Thailand at a fraction of USA prices. After receiving the outrageous dental estimate a few days ago, I decided to plan to see a dentist in Mexico. Yesterday I saw one of my medical doctors who gives me a monthly prescription which I had filled today at Shoprite Hazlet Pharmacy These are always in the middle of the month. I have another  Doctor I saw today who prescribes me sleeping Pills monthly. This doctors' prescriptions start at the end or beginning of the month which is the approx 2-week difference then my other Dr who gives me the prescription more in the middle of the month. Before I leave USA  I was looking to take 1 month supply of each of my regular monthly presciption medicine with me.    The prices of dental work outside of the USA is so much cheaper and from my experience far better quality. To plan this medical trip all I needed was the shoprite pharmacy to give me my monthly Medication  10days early. I told Michelle I can show her a fly-out date but I am not buying a roundtrip ticket as I do not know which dentist I will use and how long the procedures will take place and I am in no rush to get back to USA. Michelle said how does she know when I get home I will not cancel the reservation.   Then Michelle told me to show her a round-trip ticket . I again explained to her I am going to buy a one-way ticket so I do not have to rush my medical dental procedures. I asked Michelle if you are accusing me of canceling a one-way ticket why are you asking me to buy a round trip which can be canceled. As of the last conversation with Manager Shawn who did nothing but wasted my time, Shawn e told me Michelle is still demanding I give her proof of a round trip. Again I had to explain to Shawn why I want a one-way ticket. Alex manager was somewhat helpful but really neither manager has say over the way the Pharmacist treats customers like Junkies and drug dealers. I have a clean record and to be treated like a lying junkie drug addict drug dealer trying to con the pharmacist to get my regular meds 10 days early is very insulting plus Michelle will cost be wasted days which I will be in pain because she said after she fills the script I will cancel My reservations. Manager Shawn did not understand I am not looking to get more drugs I am only looking to get my next month's sleeping pills 10 days early because I will be out of USA.      LOL I am been using this pharmacy for years. I will probably have to go to Walgreens in Hazlet or another respectable Pharmacy that does not allow its Pharmacist to discriminate against customers based on race religion or appearance. read more

Beware! Last month I picked up my asthma Inhaler & epi pen 2 pack that my Pumonologist called in to shoprite. Today I had an appointment for immunotherapy to help with my allergies. I was told I would need an epi pen. I told them I had one and pulled 1 of the epi pens out of my purse. To my surprise I was told the pen I had had no epinephrine in it it was only a trainer. When I looked at the label closer the tech was correct. I called shoprite to let them know of the error. I was told to bring them back and that it had never happened there before period when I brought them back I was met with cold harsh statements that they don't carry what I brought back. The label I had kept from the Box said that got it from shoprite last month. The pharmacist insisted that what I returned they do not carry yet that is what they gave me. They refused to admit an error they refuse to correct the error and were not apologetic in the least with an error that could have cost me my life. I am having all of my scripts at that shop rite transferred over to CVS on Atlantic Avenue immediately. I suggest you do the same. I brought both the epi pens and the shoprite label label to see the cvs pharmacist she came out from behind the counter looked at everything and said that the expired epi pen and the trainer that I got at shoprite are not even from the same a lot. This tells me that someone is swapping out medications in the unsealed boxes and the pharmacy at shoprite doesn't seem to care at all. Please be careful. read more
