Packed with more attitude then gorgeous things they are trying to sell, this conceptual boutique is trying to be the King Road's answer to Paris' Colette but unfortunately this boutique's staff is tres merde. Whether they prefer groovin' out and singing to the lounge music as if on a photo shoot or dashing around all a flutter like they themselves are walking on some imaginary catwalk, the staff believe they themselves are the fashionistas they hope to attract. Unfortunately they are an epic fail. I don't care how cool the place is trying to be, you can buy the same stuff elsewhere.
Not once in the 15 minutes that I was in the nearly empty, customer-free, shop was I asked if I was being served -and I came to buy! I would have walked out with something as they do have lovely and very stylish items. Yet the only time I was spoken to was to be told I could not take photos 'dah-ling' -so obviously they were watching me walk around and browse and show interest in items- but other then that I was not asked if I actually wanted to try something on, buy, or look at something in the cabinet I kept going back to and looking into. And it wasn't as if I was dressed unfashionably either, I was even carrying quite a nice handbag. But it was more about the staff posing, they really let you know they were too important to actually work for the customer. I gave them several chances, I waited, I was approachable, but finally just... left. Empty handed.
The way the store is set up is very on trend with stylish designers for clothing, accessories, home, and gift items. Great buyers, and floor display that rivals many museum exhibitions. But for this amount of bad service fashionistas in the know, know where to go to find the same items elsewhere with better service. Because let's face it, we girls like to be treated right. The place is definitely cutting edge but it is not the the only place in London or in the area to offer hip shopping. So I highly recommend you set the trend to shop somewhere else! read more
