The Pond is a self described dive bar located in a strip mall area in Franklin Tennessee…read more I like to patronize places that aren't chains and aren't super popular spots when I travel, as I enjoy being around common folks in areas that I go to. The Pond doesn't disappoint. It is exactly what one would expect when seeking a dive bar atmosphere. A little ratty, a little rowdy and a whole lot of fun. The coup de grace was they had Guinness on tap, which was completely unexpected. We traveled to Franklin looking for an alternative to Broadway in Nashville on our first night in town. It is worth the trip. Franklin is a very old town with great old architecture and buildings over 200 years old that still look stunning. The Pond was the real reason for my drive down although it was our last stop on our tour of Franklin. The staff was friendly, the Hamburger and fries was delicious, and the beer was cold. They have many options to choose from on tap. They have Darts inside and a couch you'd find down in your friends basement that he found on a tree bank trash day, but that simply adds to the dive bar charm. We stayed for one drink and the burger as we were exhausted from a red eye flight the night before. If you're looking for a dive bar that stays open late and apparently gets packed as the night goes on, this is the spot for you. Most places close early in Franklin, so this is apparently the after hours spot that everyone ends up going to when all other options are closed. The Pond reminded me of a few dive bar spots in Vegas, and I have to recommend you pay them a visit, if for no other reason, just to say you've been there.

It's the kind of place that consistently delivers a great experience, from the food to the atmosphere. The covered outdoor patio is a standout feature, particularly on those mild Tennessee days. It's comfortable, inviting, and perfect for relaxing with good company. Whether you're catching a game, enjoying a meal, or just hanging out, it always hits the mark. If you're looking for a reliable spot with a great vibe and outstanding service to impress guests or just enjoy a laid-back outing, Jonathan's Grill in Spring Hill is hard to beat.

It checks all the boxes: everyone knows your name,…read moregreat Irish-themed pub food, friendly service, patio seating, a large selection of draft beers, a full-service bar, sports everywhere you turn, and plenty of parking. They even host live Celtic music nights along with a variety of creative weekly specials. There are many strong reviews here on Yelp, but one thing not highlighted is their outstanding gluten-free individual pizza. We order ours light on cheese, with black olives and fresh jalapeños. It has become a staple in our diet, especially paired with a cold beer.

This is a true Irish pub that pours a proper pint of Guinness and a smooth Smithwick's, along with a solid lineup of other beers. If you know, you know and they know how to pour it right. For an appetizer, I kicked things off with 10 "Almost Famous" Wings. Let me just say this clearly: the Nash-Hot wings are the BEST in Franklin. Crispy, flavorful, and bringing just enough heat to remind you that you're alive without requiring a fire extinguisher. For lunch, I went with a classic Irish go-to, the Fish & Chips. The fish had a light, crispy batter and was cooked just right. Flaky, tender, and not greasy. Exactly what you want. My wife ordered the Quinn's Classic Reuben, and it was stacked, melty, and equally impressive. The service is always top notch. Jeffrey, the owner, strolls around the dining room making everyone feel welcome and appreciated -- and that personal touch makes a difference. You can tell this isn't just a restaurant; it's a place people come to gather. And today, February 17th, 2026, congratulations to Jeffrey and Quinn's on celebrating 10 years! That's a big milestone and well deserved. Y'all are awesome. Here's to the next decade!
