From the moment I reached out, Kree was super responsive and easy to communicate with. The contract was simple and straightforward, pricing was fair and the breakdown of her packages were awesome. and she helped us agree on a time and location that worked perfectly, not far from our house either, which was a huge plus. On the day of the shoot, Kree arrived right on time and immediately made my niece feel comfortable. Since it was my niece's first time being professionally photographed, I appreciated how Kree guided her with poses and gave her direction to bring out her best angles. We had only disappointment and frustration with Mariann. We received her services as a gift and…read morescheduled our appointment. She first said she would scout out locations but then said she wouldn't be able to after all. My wife asked what the important criteria for a site were and then did research to figure out some good options. She sent Mariann a list of several options, with the details and pros/cons of each. Still, no site was selected. Mariann -- whom we still hadn't met -- then started sending us messages containing her private medical information, e.g., what her medical conditions were and what medications she could/couldn't take. A few days in advance, we asked if she needed to cancel the shoot due to her physical problems, and she said no. Then she did cancel at the last minute (the night before), including yet more private medical details. It made us feel uncomfortable to hear private medical drama from someone we didn't know, someone we were trying to have a professional relationship with. With two little kids and two adults to wrangle, the last minute cancelation was pretty inconvenient, but we tried to be understanding and scheduled a new date. Then, a couple weeks later, when it was time to actually have the shoot, she suggested we meet at a random nearby intersection (like when Google Maps shows you the geographical midpoint of a region, as opposed to any particular place), which showed again that she had put little to no thought or research into this, even though my wife helped her research locations much more than should have been necessary. The day of the shoot, she emailed and texted us many times, seeming to have a lot of trouble with basic geography and complaining about not knowing the area. The HOUR OF the shoot, we received half-a-dozen texts about the location, literally as we were trying to drive there (!). When we got to the location, my wife was almost in tears from frustration. Mariann walked up behind us as we were getting out kids out of the car and overheard us saying we just wanted to get this overwith. Having overheard this brief exchange, she completely freaked out and said she did not want to take our photographs anymore! After messing with our kids' schedule (not the photographer's fault, but shooting at sunset, when young children are typically having dinner and getting ready for bed, is a challenge for parents), forcing them into dresses, etc., we begged her to please take the pictures. We had to grovel and beg her in front of our kids not to storm off! After tons of attitude and threats, she finally agreed, but clearly either her professionalism or skills didn't show up. She didn't have any of the finesse you would expect from a family photographer in terms of getting good shots of the kids. She didn't take any initiative to work with them to get their attention or cooperation. After all the extended drama about the location (not sure why, since she easily could have picked one of the many places my wife recommended...) we ended up just wandering around without a good plan of where to take the pictures. We could see that the kids were getting very cranky, and the photographer had no plan or skill for wrangling them, so we ended the shoot after about an hour, thinking that any good shots should have happened by now. It was a very unpleasant experience. We hoped that at least it would all be worth it when we saw some good photos of our kids, but when we got them we were again disappointed. The kids' features were washed out, so badly that it was like their faces were pure white, and it was hard to even see where the face ended and the neck began. They looked really weird, not like themselves. We didn't get one good family shot, which isn't surprising, since she wasn't even telling us when to look or doing anything else to work with the kids. We were really disappointed by this experience. Mariann was unprofessional, caused us to waste our time, and frustrated us greatly; ending up with a lousy product to show for it. Find someone else. UPDATE: She emailed after seeing this review to attack us in her typically unprofessional way. She's also trying to have this review taken down because she doesn't like it. Too bad, this is the truth, so be warned.

James and Angela are an amazing team, a talented couple, and incredibly kind folks. From the start of the engagement shoot to when we received final photographs, they made sure to put our needs first and foremost. Their photography is not only beautiful, but they are extremely creative, capturing unique images with simple, out-of-the-box methods. Our wedding was 'Old Hollywood' themed, and they were excited to collaborate and tailor their images accordingly. They took the time to research the looks we wanted to go for during our 'Film Noir' engagement shoot, and were incredibly accommodating and flexible when it came to the schedule during our wedding day. Although we had planned with them to have several different types of photo shoots during the wedding, the large volume of guests we had at our wedding limited our time and prevented us from being able to accomplish all of those shoots. Unlike some photographers, who might have insisted on certain shots just so they could put them on their website, Angela and James completely understood our situation and put our needs first, which was beyond helpful during a fairly stressful time. They truly understand the stressful nature of weddings, and make the bride and groom as comfortable and happy as possible. On top of this, our wedding was scheduled during a family event of James and Angela's, and they chose to take time away from their family to be with us on our day. We hired James and Angela for our June 2017 wedding in San Mateo and we could not be happier with the decision we made. First of all, we were working on a fairly tight budget and we were having a difficult time finding photographers we could afford. After a lot of research I came across ShootAnyAngle. I was immediately impressed with their portfolio and was pleasantly surprised by their prices. They were much more affordable than most of the other photographers we looked at, and they were one of the only ones who offer different hourly packages. Communication leading up the day was smooth and easy. James and Angela always responded promptly and answered all of our questions. The day of, they were incredibly organized, they took all of the shots we requested, and accommodated all of our requests the day of. The day after the wedding they already had a small sample of photos ready and they were absolutely beautiful. Yesterday we received the rest of the photos and we are beyond thrilled with how they turned out. Angela and James were such a pleasure to work with in not just our engagement shoot but also on our big day. Her booking method is very quick and looks great. Joey and I had never had professional photos taken together before so we didn't have any expectations but OMG, we are obsessed with our photos. They look so natural and she truly caught honest moments. Not forced or posed at all. We've received so many compliments on them! Most importantly she utilized the full hour of our session, was very organized and we were beyond comfortable the entire time. Highly recommend!

Where do I even begin with this review? Lauren played such an integral role in our wedding (and the…read moremonths leading up to it), we can't even begin to describe how grateful we are for her. My husband and I both decided that our photographer would be the most important vendor at our wedding, so we placed a lot of emphasis on trying to find the perfect one throughout the planning process. Lauren was just that, and more! Her talent is unmatched, we could not be more happy with the way our engagement and wedding day photos turned out. They are absolutely stunning and will definitely stand the test of time. We just received our wedding album and are completely blown away with how well it turned out. Our families echo our sentiments; my sister immediately hired her for her own wedding this fall. Aside from her obvious skills (have you seen her Instagram?!), Lauren is so incredibly sweet. Having her with us on our wedding day felt so natural, it was as if she was part of the guest list. She did an excellent job at making sure we had enough time to capture everything we wanted, despite the fact that we were racing against the sunlight throughout the afternoon. Her second shooter was equally friendly, professional, and such a helpful hand throughout the day. Hands down, the best photographer out there. Do yourself a favor and just hire her already :)

I've known Angela for a long time.She did my Mom's wedding photos in 1998. She did my senior photos…read morein 2001. Then did my wedding in 2010. She was easy to work with and we have amazing shots from every event she did for us. She also did a shoot a month before my Mom's wedding where my Mom and I went to Glamour Shots got our makeup done then got in our dresses for my Mom's wedding and did shoot. It was nice to have the mother/daughter photos where it was just us. We also did the same thing before my wedding to do a test run on hair and makeup. LOVE those Mother/Daughter photo shoots. Pictures I will cherish for ever.

She puts everyone at ease and keeps the day on task. I've never felt more photogenic than at her hands and isn't that exactly what you want when you are taking pictures that will last a lifetime? I can't imagine how a negative review could be posted, but life is what you make it and if you are stressed, frazzled, and unprepared, that's probably going to the feeling you get from the experience. I would and have recommended Angela to anyone looking for their special events to be captured beautifully and professionally!
