Woodland Urgent Care Center - How the exam table looked upon rooming me

I actually got hopeful when I was called into an exam room by a nurse, but that excitement faded away in the 45 minutes I waited for the doctor to "be right in". Never an explanation or apology for the wait. Nobody took any vitals, I never stepped on a scale & nobody ever actually even looked at my injury, so I fail to understand how any diagnosis that was made could be valid. I'm still waiting (several days later) for an orthopedic referral to go through, but of course I had to do the legwork to ensure that was even happening. Oh and fun fact; if you ask what's taking so long for the referral, the staff will become instantly annoyed with you & irate that they need to explain the process of referrals having to go through insurance before being sent to orthopedics! I commented that I guess I would just be sitting around in pain for a few more days & was hung up on. Don't waste your time at this place if you don't have to. Unless some serious changes are made that encourages their staff to do their jobs with the compassion & kindness that this community deserves, I will be seeking urgent care in Olympia from now on.

Worst place ever to go for care!…read more I recently went into urgent care for an ongoing sinus infection. The PA-C Brandon Barker told me they would do a nasal swab to find out if the infection was viral or bacterial. If it was bacterial, he would have me take a course of antibiotics. If it was viral, I would not take them. The MA came in, did the swab. I watched her put it in the test tube, break off the stick, seal it and label it. They never called with my results so I called them twice only to get voicemail. I never received a return phone call even after leaving a voicemail. I called back the next day and talked to both the receptionist and the medical assistant that was there. No one had any record of me ever getting a swab done or it being sent off to a lab to be tested. I was basically made to look like an idiot, like I didn't know what I was talking about when I was clearly told by the doctor and the medical assistant that the results would be back in two days. The MA had the audacity to tell me the doctor wouldn't have prescribed antibiotics to me if he didn't want me to take them. The doctor prescribed the antibiotics so that I would have them if my test results came back with a bacterial infection. Both the doctor and the medical assistant totally dropped the ball and the receptionist and MA that I followed up with on the phone a few days later drop the ball as well. Very unprofessional and very uncaring to their patients. I will never step foot back in this place ever again!

I let them know I tried to get an appointment a month ago and ahead of time, but the soonest appointment was 4 months away. I did not have a 4 month supply. These guys were able to get me an earlier appointment a few weeks away, awesome thank you. But then I sat there for over FIVE hours. Once I finally saw the nurse practitioner, who was again, very nice, my conversation and transaction with her took one minute. Yup. I waited five hours for one minute. I had to take a sick day from work to cover my time sitting there. A day of my life I will never get back. The system here doesn't work. I get some people need more help than others but you would think the "easy" people as I was told I was numerous times, could be in and out and out of their hair instead of turning people away as they came in later in the day because they were full. Why would an hour go by and no one in the waiting room was called? One lady came in describing a heart attack and she was turned away. I felt horrible for her. I hope she is ok.

Upon arriving to the Tumwater location they directed me to the Lacey location because of the x-ray technician there. They made an appointment for me and asked the other location if they could get me in sooner than my appointment. The MultiCare indigo care in Lacey was amazing! The customer service from the front and the nurse that triaged my son was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. The nurse put an ice pack on his area of pain and It wasn't long before the physician assistant Teresa saw my son and treated him immediately. Teresa knew exactly what was wrong with him and fixed his dislocated elbow. She also gave him and icicle ice cream pop and some stickers. It was incredible how fast he was healed *and was able* to attend school. I highly recommend this place The staff are incredible customer service is amazing and my son's health is back to normal

Instead of listening the front desk is focused on different ways to say no. I will never try to work with Multicare for my urgent care needs. Saw Joseph Guthrie he was very nice, and I thank him for being efficient! Only downfall is that parking lot, the Starbucks drive thru line is right in front of the parking. I don't like reviews where people start off with "I have always loved this place but on this one…read moreoccasion, they didn't seat me immediately, bring water on a timely basis etc." therefore they give them one star after dozens of trips. That said, I give this place 2.5 stars. I have been there a few times and left neither satisfied nor dissatisfied. However, my last experience left me very dissatisfied. I had been sick for about 9-10 days before I determined that I wasn't going to get better. I really try and fight the urge to go to an Urgent Care at this time of year during... cold and flu season. Indigo is close so I went on their site, and I was #21 in line. Set up a virtual session this time, big mistake. The provider was nice, I shared my history with her, and she gave referrals to address my root cause issues. That said, my immediate symptoms were not treated. Of course, there would be no blood draws, no sampling of any bios. I told her what previous fixes worked for my symptoms; those, being antibiotics (BTW I am 63, what death do I need to wait out before it's determined, now he needs antibiotics) or steroid treatments. I had a cough, didn't need treatment and said don't prescribe Benzonatate. I have a surplus of it and take over the counter syrups when ill. It was prescribed anyway and, in a rush, paid for it at CVS because there was another scrip. Since I was feeling no better 6 days later, I appealed to the clinic to reconsider treating me in the ways I suggested. I did not want to have to wade through a cadre of sick people, for hours, only to set up another expensive visit and spend additional hours at a walk in. I AM CERTAINLY NOT ABOVE the usual pecking order of urgent treatment, but this is, IMO, sub-par follow through.
