When she asked for help from the woman, the woman was very curt and rude, as if she did not want to be bothered. It wasn't until my mother mentioned to her that she had previously purchased two pairs of shoes, that the woman's attitude softened. My mother's feeling was that perhaps the woman judged the way she looked and thought she could not afford the shoes. In any case, I don't think it's nice or wise to treat any customer like this. I was wanting to buy some shoes, but they do not carry sizes smaller than 6 and now I'm glad I did not. An unfortunate experience all the way around.

I entered the store in hopes of finding a shoe really similar to my current Sketchers slip on shoe. The reason I have loved these shoes is they are light weight, slip on, a neutral grey color that goes with many outfits, and most of all COMFORTABLE with a Memory Foam insole. When I entered today I was greeted by a friendly young woman employee. She asked if she could help me and I replied I was looking for a shoe much like what I was wearing. Of course I didn't expect to get much help. Wrong! The employee, I think her name was Stephanie, walked me back to an aisle that had shoes almost identical to mine. Then she said she had another Sketcher shoe she thought I might really like. It looks much more like a traditional walking shoe but it has a step-in feature that is just that. You simply step in and to take it off you just tap the heel with the toe of your other foot. Light weight, check, easy to put on, check, comfortable with memory foam, check, a color and look that goes with many outfits, check! I'm sold. Then I asked the young employee if they had the buy one and get half off the second pair. She was apologetic that they no longer have that deal but asked if I had a smart phone. Yes but I'm not very literate. She took my phone and pulled up a ten dollar off coupon for me to show at checkout. THANKS for being so helpful! You made this shopping trip a true five star experience.

There are price tags but with all of the talk of discounts, you ask out loud, "So how much do these shoes really cost?" And then comedian Nate Bargatze strides up to you as George Washington, just like in the now viral SNL sketch. He puts a hand on your shoulder reassuringly. He replies: "Nobody knows." So it was with that confidence that my husband and I strode to the cash register, supremely mystified if we would be asked to pay $50 or $250 for the three pairs of kids shoes and one pair of adult sneakers. (Thankfully, the bill came to closer to $100.) We checked out the new Zappos outlet on its opening weekend, when it was advertised shoppers would get an additional 30% off their purchase. And we found an outlet with a decent number of shoes for adults and kids, plus several racks of clothes as well. I was in a bit of a rush, so we didn't take too long to look, mostly zeroing in on what we were there to find. This outlet was hopping, but everything seemed well organized and clean. The only confusion came from the prices, with signs saying there were even more discounts than the 30% off. I would definitely come back here when I had more time to shop.

I recently visited, wanting to find some new, slightly vintage-looking sneakers that I could dress up or down. After perusing the aisles for a while, I settled on some green, old-school looking Adidas. They didn't have my size but a slightly larger size that would still work. The staff asked if I needed help a couple of times without hovering, and when I checked out, they showed me how I could get an additional 20% off (without opening a credit card or anything like that). Happy with my choice, I will be back when I'm in need of other shoes too.

There's plenty of benches, mirrors and temporary socks to try on your favorites. It's never hard to find help and oftentimes an associate acknowledges me and makes sure I'm good. The store is always tidy and organized. Checking out is typically painless and DSW sends out coupons and gift cards for people that frequent their store. Shipping is free if you can't find the size you need at the store. Walked out today with a dressy black bootie and sandals to keep for warmer weather.

We have dropped donation items off at this location several times in the past few years and…read moreappreciate how easy it is, as well as the mission of this business. There are several locations, and this one is located in the Hamburg area near Tractor Supply as a landmark. The drop off is on the right hand side of the building and can pull up and employees will collect the donated goods. They have signage directing where to enter the single drop off lane. There are also posted signs listing what can and cannot be donated. Staff are polite and helpful. I have not been inside the building or made a purchase to this point, so I cannot comment on that aspect of this business. I do know that the mission statement has been to sell donated items and then to utilize those funds to assist victims of abuse, which has our support 100%. (Side note: I also choose to donate here rather than at another specific well known charitable drop-off site which has high prices and high administrative costs, resulting in less funds going to the people it claims to serve.)
