Honestly, I'm that…read moregirl who can't walk past a soap/lotion/candle store - so I've tried a LOT of products and their soaps and body bars are my go-to top favorites - soap is cleansing but moisturizing like no other (seriously, I can't stress that enough)- scents are wonderful, yummy, but natural and not overpowering. The body bar!! I have sensitive skin and I'm a tad bit lazy, so having a bar that I use before I step out of the shower and towel off, but is also leaves my skin feeling like velvet, non- greasy and will even last through another shower - AMAZING!! And they last a loooong time - great value. (I keep mine on a wire rack that is always way above any water spray, fyi) I mean, we all should be buying their products because they are waterway safe and they support monarch butterflies, but that is the bonus really. I was told while in the shop that all of the art was local and you had to live within a 60 mile radius to display and sell your artwork. There are some talented folks in the Vevay area. I really enjoyed perusing the art and all of the different art forms and techniques used. There were paintings, wood work, fused glass, sculptures, clay work and jewelry. There were items at all price points depending on what you were looking for. I ended up with two items from the same artist. I purchased a magnet to mark my time in Vevay, Indiana and also a necklace that she handcrafted. I will definitely stop in here again to check out new pieces when I am back in town.

I did end up scoring a new pair of pants for under $10, but they were summer capris and still could have been cheaper, in my opinion. Especially since I scored a ton of clothes at their competitor for just a dollar a piece! They had a nice selection of both men's and women's clothing. I call it my bird dress. it flows beautifully and I would never have tried it on without the compassionate words of encouragement that it was made for someone my height and looked beautiful on me. I have since bought a few more. I bought a dress at the 50 percent off sale thinking GoodGolly where am I gonna wear it? well it is so absolutely beautiful I plan on wearing it to my sons wedding. The dresses are beautiful and sold by beautiful people. I would recommend this place to anyone for everyday fun dresses and formal wear. So I was happily surprised to find its brick-and-mortar shop in Madison. And this shop is like the truck times 100! There were so many beautiful, affordable shirts, skirts, dresses, pants and more on the top floor. It's all laid out in just a way that makes you want to flip through everything on the rack. It also has a great, curated selection of fun jewelry. And then downstairs, Betty Jeffries has a home section. And if the design of the rest of the store is any indication, you know this will be primo as well. What I found was a great selection of rugs (I'm still kicking myself for not buying the black and white rug), art, linens, picture frames, vases, candles and more. Just like the clothes, these were at a great price. While I was able to keep my willpower and not buy anything, my sister-in-law came away with a few dresses, skirts, shirt and shorts. I wish Betty Jeffries had opened a shop in Louisville. I would shop there all the time.
