Prices typically range from a very reasonable $20 for jewelry, to a moderate $70 for a dress, to $200+ jeans. (Though less and more expensive options can be found.) It's the store environment that really makes it great though. They have toys and animal crackers to keep young children busy, and attentive associates who really know style. The ladies here are great at putting entire outfits together for you (right down to the necklace) and choosing pieces that flatter your figure. And don't worry if you can't afford $200 jeans - they won't look down their noses at you. :)

However, I have ordered online twice to pick up at the store, and both times have been absolutely infuriating. This most recent time, I called the store to confirm their hours before coming to get the FULLY PAID FOR order, only to be told they cancelled the order and were sending it back. This was an anniversary gift for my husband, so I was quite distressed. Fortunately, the clerk went to the back room and caught the order before it left, and I was able to pick it up the next day. He says he tried calling me before prepping it for sending back, but my call log shows NO CALL. Either way, the in-store experience is great. Ask for Becky, she will take excellent care of you. In fact, here as I am at the store writing this I changed my 3 stars to 4 simply because Becky is that outstanding. As for the clothes, great selection and very reasonable prices for sizes that are hard to find elsewhere. Hubby is 6'2" and has a big, sturdy German frame. He can always find clothes here that fit and look wonderful.

They are either super expensive, or having a great sale so it's hit or miss. I find the staff to be average, a lot of young kids, working their first jobs probably, so getting rung up or other sizes isn't super fast, but just more time to look around. I've had times when every employee was eager to help out and others where I've felt like my presence was an interruption. There's a young lady named Taylor, who is AMAZING!!! She is a fountain of knowledge and is always chatting customers up and ensuring that everyone leaves with what they came to get. For all the sneaker heads, this location usually keeps one of whatever is about to be the next drop in a glass case near the register or in the front display. This gives you the chance to see the quality and touch whatever that next "grail" may be. Whenever raffles are happening, this location always keeps it orderly (by having the customers form a line towards Rue 21) and seems to get people in and out pretty quickly. Definitely a go to spot, whether it's to keep your athlete's gear up to par or to keep your kick game on !

Anyways, looking online for other dancewear places in the Omaha area was quite a difficult task as many of the ones listed were closed or the number was disconnected. We needed something quickly since it is getting pretty close to show time! Anyways, we stumbled upon Upstairs Dancewear and lucky for us, they answered the phone! We asked the lady on the phone if she had what we needed, and she did! In multiple sizes too! We rushed over there to make it to try on the dance shoes before they closed! Upstairs Dancewear is kind of off the beaten path and is a small store. They only sell things needed to dance. There were two lovely ladies there that know a lot about dance and dancewear and they had what we needed! I would definitely call here first if we ever need dance wear. They really know what they're doing and currently are the only place in town for the kind of dance shoes we needed! Highly recommend!
