Enployee Stealing From Customer Yesterday I went and purchased a pair of shoes for my daughter the gentleman rang me up I gave him $100 bill he returned to me $23 but did not give me my 71 cents when I asked him about it his response was "man come on" with a gesture that indicated that I was overreacting and that what he should have gave me was enough. When I proceeded to correct him in his behavior he quickly opened the register to give me $0.75 without an apology or acknowledgment of his behavior... it is not the employee's decision on what the customer should or should not do with their change I don't care if it was one cent it was my money my decision either you overcharged me for the shoes or you're stealing from me which way you want to look at it... I brought this to the attention of the store manager and he did not seem all too concerned with this matter in my opinion this would sound like your employee is padding the register in order to steal from the company. If he shorted each customer 50 cents and he rang up 30 customers that day that's $15. I have reached out to the corporate office about this matter let's see what they do read more

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had. I was gifted a pair of shoes for my birthday that didn't fit, so I went in to exchange them. The staff refused, claiming the shoes were used -- which was completely false. I never even tried them on because I already knew they weren't my size. There was a small amount of dirt on the soles, likely from the original purchase, but they were clearly unworn. They still refused to help, showing zero willingness to resolve the issue. I ended up having to go to another Shoe Palace location, where thankfully someone was able to assist me. The customer service at the first store was awful -- rude staff, no greeting when you walk in, and an overall hostile vibe. Definitely the worst customer service I've experienced. The manager who was wearing many gold chains around his neck said he could not honor the price because "the computers were messed up " come on Shoe Palace you can do better. I was shopping for a new shoe for my boyfriend. I found a pair that were mis -marked at a lower price. I had no idea they were mis -marked until the sales person came out with his shoe size and I stated "I am so excited, he is going to love these and im happy I'm getting them on sale". The lady stated they are $164, I said, no, they are marked at $64. I asked if she would honor that price and then change the price to what they should be. She said she "MIGHT" be able to give me a discount. I was so upset since I have bought multiple, and I do mean multiple, shoes several times before. Shoe Palace in the Weberstown mall in Stockton, California. Shoe Palace is located by the Main entrance of the Mall. It'll be on the right hand side next to the Vans store for all of those who don't know. So here's my journey:) I came in a few days ago with my three children and my Ex-wife to go shoe shopping. Shoe Palace was first on the hit list for us. The staff quickly greeted us as we approached us and the place has a lot of the latest cool shoes for everyone. I'll say this my three children are like me. We search the depths of all shoe stores and look for the "Perfect Pair" of shoes. My son just started high school and we just got him some KD's Kevin Durant and some Nike Air Max for his birthday a month ago for school. But it's high school Man, stuff gets obsolete really quick. My eldest Princess really won't rock these type of shoes that they sell here. Just the low top Chucks, she loves Vans and Tom's shoes. My youngest Princess she'll pretty much rock anything, as long as their Princess shoes:) hey that's win win for me big-time ;) So the majority of the time we're just looking at different types of shoes for my son and daughters. I felt bad because we constantly asked for shoes in stock and have them bring out a lot of shoes. Then didn't decide on any of them. So I give mad respect to the staff who worked that day. During a pandemic it's difficult to shop especially those with underlining conditions. My work decided to sponsor one of our patients Christmas presents for her family. It was my job to look for black Nikes in size 13 for her brother. I had gone to three other stores in the mall with no luck. Then I walked into shoe palace and was greeted by Maddie. I had told her what I was looking for, showed her a shoe. They didn't have a 13.. BUT Maddie had suggested a couple of others that she had check in the back before coming back out. So I walked into this Shoe Palace. I have to say this is one of theeeee nicest Shoe palaces Iv been to. From the up to date gear and treading shoes to the exceptional customer service Iv ever had at any Shoe Palaces Iv been to. Trust me I'm a big Shoes guy and Iv been to a hole lot of shoe stores. Any ways I have to say who ever runs this store deserve a huge pay raise. Especially Austin and Jillian at this store! The employees here suck. Especially the girl with the dyed blonde hair who worked tonight. She walked up to everyone for help and she looked at me and walked away and when I needed help she would walk the other direction. Then at the counter I think she came and told the cashier that she helped with my box. I didn't quit hear but if I was 100% sure I would have said differently. As soon as I walked in the two ppl working stayed behind the counter talking up a storm ignoring me . I had to walk up to them to asked for my shoes size , then they just stared at me . The short: Your run of the mill shoe store with plenty of selection and stock at average prices. The long: Out running around trying to find a new pair of shoes since it was about time and ran across this place. I had actually found what I wanted down the hall at one of the every mall has it stores, but I was hoping to find a better price so I kept looking. I had never been in one of these stores before and to be honest I never noticed one before either. When I walked in I was not hounded by staff trying to sell me anything. In fact the only guy working was standing in the doorway jaw jacking with some guy in the hall. I actually had to go and get him to find out anything. Price was exactly the same, but since I was there I just went ahead and scooped them up. One thing that seemed really trashy about the place was the paper written signs all around talking about no refunds or exchanges period. I came here today to buy some work shoes and let me tell you-- Lewis was the guy who helped me. He was AMAZING. So patient with me. I'm soooo picky with shoes and he was so helpful. He brought me different sizes, different recommendations, and even told me how the shoes I tried on looked on me. After trying on about 6-7 different pairs of shoes, I finally decided to go with the all black Nike Air Max 90s. Adriana was the one who recommended those! I'm a HUGE fan on the 90s, so I haaad to. Anyways, Adriana and Jocelyn were the two wonderful ladies who helped me. They were so great, we ended up having a bomb ass conversation for about 30 minutes. I just want to thank Lewis, Adriana, and Jocelyn for all the AMAZING HELP. I most def would ask for them the next time you visit them! This place a joke!!!!! I went in at 8:30 am hoping to get the Jordan 11 but they where doing the raffles, I didn't have a raffle so I stood in line hoping to get one for the 12 pm release, one of the employee ask for all the customers for their name so we don't have to stay in line and if we can come back at 12pm. When I came back @ 11 am to wait for the line, they called us up to be in line at 12pm, while patiently waiting they told us that there were no more size 8 or 8.5 available. That was really ridiculous that they ran out on that size. They employee should have never ask for the shoe size and waste everyone's time. I thought this was 1 per customer but you have a single customer buying 2 or 3 pairs at a time. This always happens every time when there is a popular shoes that comes out. I'm very disappointed about this location other location isn't like this. I hope upper management/corporate takes a look at the footages on their employees for not following policies. read more

Ok so I'm writing about the shoe palace next to the vans store because the other location is great. But the one by the vans store is horrible the customer service is beyond disrespectful especially a Latina individual we encountered this evening that just looked like she was trapped working there and didn't want to be. So we walk in no greet or nothing we do see an Asian gentlemen talking to another associate at the register who both make eye contact with us but act as if we never walked in and still nothing they had a full blown conversation going on with one another but no one else what kind of business is being ran here I guess sales don't mean anything anymore tonight we went to spend money but I rather take it else where to someone who is gonna get credit for sales... there was another Latina working who just had the worst face and looked so miserable and gave us the most dirtiest look I kid you not I thought we where being punk'd but that wasn't the case they are just horrible at what they do this store for sure lost a big sale today due to we where Christmas shopping. I will never return to the store in my life again reminds me why I don't go to the Stockton mall... Nono. The worst customer service in my life. I got retail raped. Customer service would not leave me alone and let me look at shoes, I wanted. There was this one young lady, who insisted I buy everything I see. I told her, I didn't need a lot of shoes and she was on repeat mode and still insisted I buy them. Then, got mad at me for getting just a tee shirt. I got to the register and she brought a pair of shoes out and told this really big, over weight guy to ring them up for me. He rings them up and the total is over a $100. I'm like, I DON'T WANT THE SHOES. He gets rude and throws the tee shirt and receipt at me, over the counter. Both of them got mad at me. At the end, I got angry. I will never go there again. I didn't get a shopping bag to put my tee shirt in, thanks for shopping with us, or have a nice day. I've been to this store 3 times already and each and every time it's been wonderful no doubt. I was just in there last night 12/8/13 I wasn't even in there for 5 seconds when a young man came up to me and asked how I was and offered to show me some shoes. I needed a 7 in a certain model but I was lookin in the adult sizes which he told me the adult sizes start at an 8. Nonetheless he walked me over to where the size 7's were n offered to get me that specific shoe I was looking for. He stayed by my side at all times until I made my purchase, where I also spoke to the manager and he too was wonderful. I loved my experience there and will be goin back very soon! read more

Went to shoe palace today as my daughter (11) wanted Converse. When I arrived I asked the first sales person that greeted me to bring out a size 8 and 8.5. He said converse run big and only brought me a size 8. When I say he brought it to me I mean that he brought me one left shoe, unlaced, He then did an Immediate 180 and started talking to the other 5+ associates nearby. The shoe didn't fit. I got up from my chair turned around and asked the first sales guy for the next size up (the 8.5 I originally asked for) He appeared to be the manager. He turned to the 5 sales guys in a bunch and asked who was helping me. He handed the shoe to my sales associate and he again brought me out one left shoe, unlaced, did a 180 and started talking to his co-workers. She tried on the 8.5 and it fit. We turned around and immediately were asked if we needed help, of course our sales guy was MIA. I was quickly help by another associate, with the assumed manager at the cashier position. The sales guy then said that he was going to "hook me up" with this water proofing spray. He proceeded to tell me how the water proofing spray makes the converse look better for longer. With the open shoe box on the table he then sprays the one side of the shoe that is exposed, shows me the price ($9.99), but he's going to give it to me for $5. I tell him I don't want the waterproofing spray and that I want a new pair of shoes as I don't want a 1/4 of the shoe with waterproofing on it. The guy goes to look for a new pair of shoes. As the associate goes to the back the manager guy tells me that there is no difference in color with the waterproofing spray on after it is dry. I explain that I have used waterproofing spray before so I am familiar with the product. The product will make your shoes noticeably darker. At the ring up they asked if I wanted an extra pair of laces, which I said no thank you. The sales guy said are you sure, they're only 50 cents? I bit and he pointed at the Shoe Palace branded laces available. My daughter picked the teal ones as it's her favorite color. The cashier then explained to me that the laces were $2.50, but there's an automatic $4 coupon right now so they're basically free. I finished the transaction, laces included. So many dirty sales tricks in the above. I'm sure I would of gotten the $4 off promo no matter what, so they were leveraging that to claim a lower price on the accessories and then pull a bait and switch. I'm sure the $5 quoted for the spray would have turned into $5.99 ($9.99-$4). Would of walked, but didn't want my kid to suffer because of this sales team. Won't go back for sure. Sidenote: I like hip hop, have beat in my vehicle. But the drone of crappy hip-hop at loud volume with bleeped words wasn't a sales enhancement. read more

Horrible customer service. This is a prime example of why minimum wage should not be $15 dollars an hour. I work hard for my money. I went into the store ready buy two specific pair of shoes. I know my shoe size, been buying for them for years. I tell the young lady what shoes and what sizes. She comes back with options of a size smaller or bigger in one pair. Then proceeds to tell me they run 2 sizes big. Which seems strange I have been buying them for years. So why in the heck would I want a size bigger. OK, nope not squeezing my toes or slopping around in shoes too big. So no big deal I told her I'll just go around the corner to journey's for those and be right back for the Nike free runs. I come back ready to spend.... she tries to package up and give me the floor model of the shoe with a snot/glue stain on it? Umm no for the price of these shoes I want brand new. I asked for a clean pair and was met with "oh I think I can clean that" attitude I'm not going back there for a clean pair.. The shoes was dirty. I asked for a manager to see if he could help to see if maybe there a fresh pair in the back. Maybe she was upset I didn't buy the small pair of shoes before and left.
