So, when you see a huge sign printed in all caps on the front door, "NO BIG PURSES AND BACK PACKS ALLOWED IN STORE" you know you are about to have a ghetto experience.
So, I walk in the store with my purse that I use as a carry on--it carries everything, phones, snacks, clothes, laptop, and proceed to shop. I notice that most of the girls have super huge purses as well (so much for the sign). Ghetto is the only word that comes to mind. Well, ghetto-fabulous!
Some shoes are high, gaudy, and shiny. I try to imagine who would wear such shoes, and on what occasions? Some are low (my speed), and some are for kids--not very much for men, if anything. Very fashionable. Very fashionable. Very fun.
I select a very shiny gold sandal, disappointed it's not available in black. I try them on and imagine myself going on a date with these shoes. . .I wonder if a subsequent date might not happen because of them. But I buy them, because, after all, it's not about him anyway.
When I ask the associate if they will have more arriving soon, I was told they do not know what's coming until it gets there. Apparently this store gets new shoes every Thursday, so I'll call and find out. I keep the box and receipt, because if they do have these in black, I will need the box to exchange them.
Definitely a place to get really fun shoes at super prices. I'll be calling on Thursday for sure.
But in the meantime, I'll enjoy my very shiny and phat gold sandals! Gotta love it! read more
