Do not go here for shoe repair What can I say? If you have nice shoes and want them repaired, Do not go here. Don't really care what your shoes look like after and just want heels on them. I'm sure they're fine. Took two pairs of nice boots that both had rubber soles. I asked the counter gentleman..if he could match it. He came out with the exact rubber that matched my shoes. However, when I picked them up, they were repaired with hard seals on top of soft, rubber existing heels. What a mistake! $50 paid in advance as well. This place shoe doctor in the University Mall basically just charge me to babysit my purses for seven days I pick them up. They look exactly the same and have the crumbs in them from when I drop them off this place is horrible. They charge you and don't do nothing to your stuff. read more

DO NOT USE THIS TRASHY LOW CLASS STORE. Check out the pictures to see what a horrible job they did. I took my 2 pairs of prized Timberland Boots because they needed to be lightly cleaned. There were absolutely no issues on either pair when dropped off. I picked up my pairs and someone had one hell of a couple of nights at my expense at a pissy club. Asked the owner what happened and immediately starting yelling and screaming that no one had worn the shoes which is a guilty conscience speaking. Was also weird that he didn't take them out of the grocery store bags that they were in when I picked them up to show me how they came out. The bag itself was even dirty. It's almost like he wanted me to leave with them without me seeing them. My Tim's had extremely minimal wear. Now the shoes are creased to high hell, there are scars, are still dirty, new stains, frayed laces, are still dirty, they now have water damage and the fuzz that I noticed that had accumulated over the years is till in the area between the lace stay and tongue. On top of all that it looks like they didn't even clean them. The owner is an A-Hole so save your time and money a go someplace else. If this "Doctor" had actual patients he would have lost his license for malpractice. What a loss because I have cared for these boots for years to have some low life ruin them. I've been by their store 3 times within the hours posted on this Yelp listing but no one is ever there and there are no hours posted on their door or window. I broke the strap off a pair of expensive sandals, and they fixed them in 10min. Charged me $8. Great price very nice guys.

Really disappointed in this place. It's not the same since the first owner passed away. Multiple times I had to get them to re-do repairs that were obviously half-assed. Never had this problem when the first owner was still there. The new owner doesn't speak good English and has his younger (inexperienced) family members there to help translate and repair. Originally I assumed they were open until 8:30 when the mall closed. I went at 8:00 pm and they were closed. So I called the establishment to find out their hours of operation. They informed me that they were open until 8 pm. I went the next time at 7:30 pm, and they were closed. Cobblers are getting harder and harder to find, especially ones that can take on special projects. Ibrahim at Shoe Doctors has been working with leather probably longer than I've been alive, and he was more than willing to repair a holster I had that needed some extra stitching and trimming. The work was done in a week, very affordable, and the staff there was friendly and excited to grow their business - folks living the American dream! Will edefinitely use them again. read more

do not i repeat do not use them at all.....they run a janky business. we drop my son shoes off to be cleaned and when we picked them up they have creases all over them and look nothing like the shoes we dropped off....on top of this the shoes they gave us back did not have the tag to identify them with the tag they gave us when we dropped them off...after getting into a heated argument we were accused of only wanting out money back ($40) lol when we wanted to know where are the shoes we dropped off cause this cant be them. the disrespect lady in there began to belittle us with slurs saying" you know all they want is the money" and "you know how they are" please do not spend money with them especially the black community because they do not respect us...i have video to back up everything ive said. they even tried to say that it was from wear amd tear not knowing my son wore them 1 maybe 2 times before we brought them to be clean. to be accused of only wanting our money back and them hit with slurs and stereotypes is what i really known...do not spend your hard earned dollars with establishments like this...the $40 is nothing compared to how upset my son is gonna be read more

Worst repair/customer service I received in ten years from Luke (Last Name Unknown), Shoe Cleaner/Shampooer. I submitted 2 pairs of Timberlines (1 Nubuck and 1 Leather) for cleaning and had to pay $50.00 up front for the services or the Shoe Doctor would not take your shoes. Reluctantly, I paid. Six days later when I returned to pick up my shoes, I was told they were cleaned and ready, I was handed my shoes and walked outside. Upon getting outside, I looked at my shoes and determined that my shoes had not been touched or cleaned by Luke!! I was really pissed that I paid $50.00 up front and this guy had kept my shoes for 6 days and did nothing. I returned the shoes and came back 4 days later, my shoes were half cleaned and Luke had shoe polish on the fabric on my timberline. I returned them again and picked them up today and they are still not cleaned properly. Although I informed/complained to Ronald Johnson, Owner, about Luke's deceptive/fraudulent actions, Mr. Johnson did nothing!!! He offered no refund, no discount, no nothing!! Because of Mr. Johnson's acceptance of Luke's crockedness, I now see why Luke and the other employees treat customers bad because they know Mr. Johnson is not going to do anything!! I also see why they have you pay up front, because when they don't make the correct repairs and treat you horrible, you can not refuse to pay them for services not rendered because they already have your money!!
