The guy needs to find a new career because he can not work on shoes. Got a pair of boots done and did not know his reputation well it was $65 wasted. Had the soles replaced and it took a month to get them back and a day later the soles are coming apart he also got glue all over the boots now I need a new pair of boots because there is no reason to waste my time with this guy any longer. The work is never completed on time it took an additional month to get my boots back and you have to pay upfront so he has no reason to be in a hurry. This guy reminds me of the 80s sone Don't Pay the Ferryman by Chris de Burgh because you will regret it. The reviews on this place on Facebook are even worse. read more

If you wish to pay someone to steal from you, please come here. This is the first bad review i have given anyone. His basic MO is to make you pay up front and then when you return for your item they are not ready/he can't find them right now/they are at his storage facility in Greenville/he gave them by mistake to someone else. I believe he sells our stuff on Ebay or at flea market. Google him--30 Better Business Bureau complaints! Police go there several times a week but say they can't do anything with him. I will be suing in small claims court and asking judge to revoke his business license. The more who join this the more persuasive our claim. I guess when you're the only shoe repair place within several miles, poor work and customer service don't matter. I took a pair of shoes to be repaired, only one had been fixed, the owner lied and said he fixed both when it was obvious he hadn't. 4 other customers were there with similar issues of unfinished work. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!!! I took my riding jacket to them on June the 5th and finally got it back on June 30th after insisting!! I was lied too several times about why it was not finished!! When I came by to get it today it was a hot mess!!! The zipper won't zip well and the stitching is terrible!! The tread that is pink on black looks like a second grade student sewed it!!! I paid an extra 18 bucks for cleaning and conditioning and there are still bugs on it!! He refused to give me my 72 bucks back that of course I paid in full before the work was done! I left out of there storming mad! I will be taking this crook to small claims court! He looked me right in my eye and lied like a dog several times! He knows it!! I will tell every biker I know never to trust your precious riding gear to this crook!!! I am hearing the same story from my friends who will never use him again! Worst Experience I'ver ever had! 4 times and shoes still look awful. Plus owner is so rude! DO NOT GO there!

I have used this business three times for repair of my hiking boots and I had a bad experience each time. I live in a rural area and this was the closest repair shop, although it is still 30 miles from my house: that is the only reason I went back after my first experience. I now drive 60 miles into Kingsport to get my boots resoled by the Shoe Wiz because I will never use this cobbler again. He is rude, dishonest and overpriced. He is not always open during posted business hours so if you come to pick something up or go to drop something off don't count on his shop being open. He, and his wife/assistant rarely answer the phone. If you leave a message it will not be returned. If you are told the repair will be done by a certain date, don't count that either. He will always have an excuse as to why it isn't done. The third time I used him I was actually able to contact him on the phone, after many calls, and was told my boots were repaired and ready to pick up. I drove the 30 miles to his shop to pick them up only to find that he had not even started the repair! He had had them for three weeks just to glue the soles back on. I sat in my car and waited for him to repair them since I had driven so far to pick them up. I had to take them back a couple of weeks later because they came unglued at the toe. In addition to all of the above, his charges are way out of line compared to the Shoe Wiz and he requires full payment up front so you have no recourse if you are not satisfied with his work. I would give him no stars if I could. read more
