It sits in a small shopping mall anchored way in the back it's hard to see from the highway you have to really know what you're looking for use your GPS. This is the second time I've come in and received fantastic service. My first experience was April of 2021. I wanted something that had what was called the wide toe box but not a wide shoe and I was just browsing places in the girl was very very helpful at the time and everything was perfect these were some of the best shoes I've owned in a long time I bought two pairs one was more of a running gym shoes sort of thing. But the one that became my daily word pretty much for over two and a half years were these walking shoes in a nice color neutral Brown not just black or the white or off-white whatever they are. I was so happy when I went in there and I said I was in here a few years ago I gave him my phone number and my name they pulled me up said yeah you're here and I was quite pleased to know these exact same shoes are still available and they had them in stock so I got myself another pair because after two over two and a half years of very very hard wear through all different elements for seasons they finally started to begin to slowly get unglued at the sole. But once again I came in in the service was fantastic I had no complaints at all this is an outstanding store right here and even if you have to have something ordered they keep in touch with you and let you know everything that's going on.

I I will return especially because of Christian ( who I think is the store's assistant manager. I have trouble walking. He made sure I was comfortable and found what I needed. I was intending just to look and see what the Skechers brand was all about. I ended up buy three pairs of shoes. He made sure I was able to receive the stores promotional prices. You'll find more women's shoes, a small selection of children's, and s workable choice in men's. However, if you're looking for size 14, I only found a couple, a few 13's, 12 down your options increase. The helpful cashier signed me up for their rewards program and held my purchase up front for me. I had to retrieve my car from the other side of the lot, I wanted to walk off my lunch. Baffled!…read more After going to three other locations much further from our home (New Lenox, then Orland Park last weekend, and finally Hammond, IN today), and having slightly negative, followed by indifferent, and then good service, we ended up at Homewood. While in Hammond, after trying on multiple pairs of boots but finding none that fit properly, the ladies in the shop called Homewood to see if they had a particular style in his size, and they did and put them aside for us. We got to Homewood and were greeted warmly by both men working in the store. One of the two took the held pair of boots for my husband and assisted him with them. They didn't fit either. After speaking to my husband for a few minutes about our two weekends of struggles and the issues with his feet, he decided to use the manual sizer to check what size shoe he needed, rather than utilize the computer guided system that we had used in New Lenox. Turns out that one of my husband's feet was a size 13, but the other was an 11 1/2. Seeing this as a challenge, our salesman brought out box after box after box of different boots to try on. Unwilling to accept defeat, we were there for more than an hour and a half, trying on dozens of different boots that would accommodate his different sized feet and other issues (a bunion, wanting an American made boot, no steel toe, etc.). The employees are very knowledgable and kind. The owner, Millie, has always treated my family and me with professional customer service as well as personable conversations. She bonded with my mother after my father died and comforted her when we happened to stop into the store one day and I'll never forget that. The store is well stocked with hard to find brands that run wider toe boxes for high insteps and chubby baby feet! These shoes are not easily found anywhere else in the area. You can't find these well-made shoes at Walmart or Famous Footwear. You'd have to go online and blindly buy without the advantage of making sure the size is correct! Luckily, Big n Little is right there in Dyer to help you out. The prices can be a little more than online shops or, of course, bigger chain stores, but I believe I'm paying a bit more for the people and the service. I think you should support this local small business, too!
