WARNING: Please think twice before spending a substantial amount of money on catering for the…read morebiggest day of your life with this company as you may receive a subpar service. My husband and I chose this company for our May Wedding due to the fact that it was not only a black-owned business that seemed reputable, but also our encounter with the owner, Bruce, was very professional as he ensured that his company was the best choice to host the wedding. We scheduled a food tasting and we were blown away from the presentation and service that we immediately agreed that we wanted On Boarding to be our caterer. Unfortunately, during our wedding, my husband, wedding planner, family members and numerous of our guests experienced many things that did not reflect this business. One complaint was the company's bartender, BJ, saying racial comments about the bride to the groom which she was unaware of (calling her picky and saying she has to "ni**erate the drink"), some staff stealing personal items and monetary gifts from our guests in attendance, and lack of quality of food, drinks, and service to us and our guests. All complaints were dismissed by the owner without any option for refunding us any portion of the over 10k dollars we spent on catering, bartending, and additional 20% gratuity in the contract. He did not apologize or hold himself or his staff accountable for the poor service and only mentioned that he will take our complaints into consideration. We overall felt betrayed by a company who portrayed themselves as classy, but ended up being unprofessional, inappropriate, and disrespectful to my husband and I being the bride and groom and our guests who expected a stellar service. I highly do not recommend this company.

In late September, Rocky Top Catering, a locally owned and well-known catering company in the…read moreTriangle, announced that Table & Twine, a chef-prepared meal delivery service, is now part of the company. I recently went to a media preview of their Thanksgiving meal offering and everything was so delicious! You get everything already prepared and seasoned and brined and packaged that all you have to do is heat and serve for the sides and in just two hrs, the turkey that comes with the package will be done. We learned that Table & Twine by Rocky Top Catering offers a variety of delicious meal options, including ready-to-eat entrees, finish & serve meals, family-style meals, and entertainment packages. The chefs preparing these meals only use whole foods, and meals arrive fresh (not frozen). Many dishes are ready to eat and others require simple heating. These restaurant-quality meals are available for home delivery in the Triangle and curbside pick up at Rocky Top Catering in Raleigh. If you want the convenience of spending more time with family and less time in the kitchen this holiday season, keep Table & Twine by Rocky Top Catering in mind for holiday meals. Offerings of Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner packages, brunch packages, appetizers, and desserts will be available to make your holidays more enjoyable and less stressful. I do wish their was the option to customize, mix or match , or just buy some of the sides and pies a la carte. To learn more about Table & Twine by Rocky Top Catering or to place a meal delivery, I recommend visiting their website: tableandtwine.com
