I can verify just how unprofessional & sneaky this place is. They'll most assuredly capitalize on your insurance money by any means if you're considering this place for auto body repair work. Check out how much they get for "storage" of your vehicle just for starters, then go elsewhere where integrity is still prioritized. It is fair to expect common decency, but not here. The old guy's tact & decorum are elusive as well. I am obviously not the only one who would avoid this shop. Please notice how often this place has "help wanted" on its sign. Think about that. Same problem as mentioned by many ppl , my jeep was totally destroyed when a truck slammed into me and left the scene. They got the jeep as I only had it for 3 weeks and was brand new only 10 k miles on it. Insurance company had problems with miscommunication almost daily myself as well . Every time I called it was a different story and or problem with insurance company which I know my company contacted them multiple times. Storage fees climbed daily as they supposedly waited for insurance company contract????? First I was told everything was in order and they spoke to insurance company then the story changed. My company called me and said they'll release the Jeep that was totaled when they receive Storage fees. So I had to wait more time for the check from insurance company to pay off the loan to a car I could no longer could drive nor have access to my plates and belongings took weeks to straighten out. Communication is key and isn't difficult. I spoke to the same gentleman who insisted I never spoke to him???? Ok I understand everyone has a bad day but this is no way to run a business. I never had a problem with them always brought all my cars for repairs to them. Idk something changed once an insurance company told was involved.Car repairs not going through insurance company I had no problem. My cousin's wreck is in their shop, my cousin is still incapacitated 3 weeks after the crash. My cousin called Anthony to tell him I was going down 'as his agent' to ascertain the damage-it is a motorcycle, not what they generally work on. Anthony first had me sit to waste my time, then told me 'he was doing me a favor' by allowing me to see it, (I never did see it). I told him I would mention his attitude online, he demanded that I leave the business. My cousin called the insurance company as they had after 3 weeks still not visited the shop to inspect it either; Anthony had told me 'he never heard from them', the insurance co told my cousin the 'case was dropped' ? hmmmm how did that happen? well only Anthony benifits as the storage charges grow every day! I would not care to ever give this very unpleasant person business, I am sure he can seem sweet as he rips you off though. read more

my experience was horrible. for one my car was only suppose to be there 14 days and it ended up sitting for over 30 days for various "reasons".. this caused a lot of inconvenience in my life, their communication is horrible it's absurd everytime I had to call them for any updates. they also took a couple items out of my car, not sure why but my very valuable dior Cologne that was gifted to me on my last birthday from my grandma was took, i was gifted it from my grandma who is no longer here I expressed and still was not given it back.. was told it got misplaced but I don't understand why it was took out in the first place. they also took my very sentimental dollars that my family tied to my car when I first got it. I also don't understand why my money was took, let alone even touched. neither was given back and I do not recommend at all. read more

I know that they have been serving the Mastic area for a very long time. And they probably do great work, but my gripe is their unprofessionalism. 2 times I have taken 2 separate vehicles to ask for an estimate and both times the first thing out of his mouth was replace this and replace that. Immediately followed by "It's not worth it." As a person that works in maintenance shop (non-automotive) I know it's always easier to say, buy the part and replace. That's the lazy way, but somtimes it's the only way. That is not my main gripe with these guys. They need to have a little respect for a potential customer. Who are they to say to someone if something is "worth fixing" or not. Saying that to someone's pride and joy is just rude. If I want to pay $4000 on a repair of a $8000 car, that is MY prerogative. Needless to say the vehicle could have very a sentimental value to that person. After taking it to several other local bodyshops (which there are many) they all gave me a quote. Some high, some low, but NONE, AND I MEAN NONE, ever told me it wasn't worth it! So, needless to say I would never take a vehicle to them to assess because obviously they are SO big of a franchise that Motortrend network is sending a film crew to use Shirley Autobody as their new show. Right there along side Fantomworks, Texas metal, Iron resurrection, and Bitchin' Rides. Sorry for the sarcasm, but it's deserving. Would have loved to have used a shop 1/4 mile from my front door, but I guess not. Croce's Body Shop is down the road anyway. #itsnotworthit read more

If I could give them zero stars I would! First issue was I got an oil change there and when I looked under the hood and the engine cover was not on the engine at all and was loose under the hood. Now on top of that there was hand prints of oil all over. Then on top of all that they didn't put enough oil in the car!!! Would not recommend to anyon read more

Took my ram here after being in a front end collision. They did a shorty job on the hood respray there's a big glob of clear coat on the front. The front bumper almost fell off when I was on the way to Connecticut (they fixed that) and scratched the front bumper in the process. Where do I begin.... i made an appointment to have photo inspection pictures taken of my car today, BUS only gives you around 15 days to have it done. I call ahead to get the address and the tone of the person's voice was completely off as if I was bothering him, but I didn't take it personally and went to my appointment anyway with good spirits. I want in and the guy who picked up the phone was Rolling his eyes and still had the same energy. I asked him was I in the right place because the GPS has been wrong in the past, and again he gives me an even bigger attitude. He said if you don't have an appointment you will not get seen ignoring my question he also proceeds to say if you do not have your insurance cards I can't help you. I just picked up my car from being serviced here and they were excellent! I had gone to another auto body for a quote (who I had used in the past) and they were saying the hood of my car needed to be replaced because of the dent and the scratches. They said $1500 worth of work! Crazy! Took it Shirley Auto Body and he quoted me $400 to repaint the hood, he took the dent out while I was standing there! Told me to bring my car in Wednesday and it would be ready Friday and it was! It looks amazing! Everyone I spoke to there was friendly and professional! There should be a rating for zero stars. I gave them the car with one accident on the right side of the car and ended up its several issues a months later. They scratches my brand new car in numerous places. My window ended up scratched on the door they removed to fix the quarter panel. They scratched my windshield. When they painted the car they sprayed residue paint on the windshield. Brought the car n twice after that and they treated me very disrespectful and made it seem like I did these things to my own car. People. Think twice before coming to this place. They just put bandages on the cars and don't care after they get their money. read more
