This is for both outdoor and indoor courses, but I haven't done anything else here except an ice cream treat. Outdoor course is incredible. Great layout, great holes, great design and can be difficult too! I go down at least once a year to play the outdoor course with my friends. I've only done the indoor glow course once and it was fun but it has a bigger price tag and isn't as good as outside. If you're local and want to go in the winter I can understand the indoor golf idea. The theme is cool and I love the decorations through. I like to get an ice cream on the way out too, its always a treat. I really like to come down to do a round of golf here and then 2 rounds up the street at the place next to A&W, so for less than $15 bucks you get 3 rounds of golf at 2 different places, so its worth the trip down from Syracuse for sure! I've never had a problem with being yelled at and the rules are easy to follow. You will like this place, it is GREAT! read more

Visited on June 26 2026. We've been customers for years, but sadly the outside miniature golf is not being maintained very well. Carpets are worn, dirty and covered with debris like needles from shrubs and bird waste. Shrubs are overgrown and covering carpets and blocking the path of the ball. Weeds are everywhere, especially very large and overgrown thistles. It's getting run down yet prices keep increasing. read more

Had a blast playing mini golf here. Very challenging course but not so challenging that you get frustrated. The course is well kept and the staff are super friendly. We played at night and it was empty which was a plus. I do wish the lighting was a little brighter. At times it was difficult for us to tell the colors of the balls. And they hold the world record for longest mini golf hole! read more

Won the jackpot on a machine and didn't receive the tickets to get my kid a cool prize. Took a picture and asked for help but the employees said they couldn't do anything. Reached out to management twice, no response. Small thing in the grand scheme but ruined the experience and I'm just ignored. read more

Took the half hour trek to Shipwreck as I've heard great things about the outdoor mini golf course. It's a fun course but the pirate music they play on repeat is really annoying. They have quotes at all of the holes and you can tell they take pride in making sure guests have a fun time. I'll definitely be back for indoor mini golf! read more

My good friend- not going to say his name for legal purposes- was on the longest hole in the USA when he hit the ball in the hole with 8 innocent bystanders watching. Disclaimer- the workers( 2 young ladies) were also watching. We went to the front desk to ask for our promised free game when they said that they saw no ball in the hole and couldn't offer us the gave that was deserved. What a fun little adventure this was! They have indoor AND outdoor mini-gold options which means when snow and cold weather strike, there's still a great way to have fun. Did this on a whim with my boyfriend on our way to a hike in Ithaca. Great way to spend an hour or so!

This was ok. We tried pretty much everything-- indoor golf, outdoor golf, paintball target shooting, the video arcade, and the ice cream stand. The indoor golf course is in a cool room with lots of black lights. Unfortunately, the course itself was very boring and repetitive with only one of two remotely complex holes. The outdoor golf course is better, but it was super crowded. Also, the music was very strange. It alternated between thematically appropriate pirate songs and random tracks that included, for example, the theme song for "all in the family." Also, the highly-touted "world's longest mini golf hole" was a silly gimmick. It's just a very long, boring track that goes around the entire course and that you hit your ball on until you die of boredom. The video arcade was pretty disappointing. The games are a bit dated. Paintball shooting was fun but pricy. Ice cream was delicious and reasonably priced. It was worth a trip, but I wasn't blown away. read more

Great venue. A$$hole staff I've tried going here for the past fifteen years, and I have to say that I can never return. While this is definitely the most complete minigolf course available (I live in Ithaca), the staff are beyond rude. I am a teacher, and every time my family and I went, the children were aggressively admonished for their behavior. I can't tell if it's racism, I'm blind to my family's behavior, or these people just take minigolf incredibly seriously, but we simply cannot go anymore. I remember when the venue was just one course, and then the second, and then the arcade. Every few years we'd take the kids, because it's a larger venue than the Sciencenter, and every time, it'd be the same thing. Asking other families would be the same experience. I think like the Helen Newman Bowling alley, this is a great venue if you are two adults having a day out, but this I cannot rate as a family experience. (Most recent experience was before covid. Recently drove by the place, and realized other families with children of any age may want to know.) read more

We did the outdoor pirate golf and it was much more fun than I was expecting. The holes aren't super challenging on their own, but many of them have wheels that you spin before you golf that add a fun twist. Golfing with the wrong end of my club and standing on one foot added some fun and leveled the playing fit a bit for my 6 year old. I also loved the Guinness World Record holding longest mini golf hole. It was soooo long it was hard to keep track of our hits, but was really fun! I would definitely come back again and I'd love to try out the indoor course. read more

This is the kind of attraction that Cortland sorely lacks. A decent place to kill some time, especially in the winter. However, lack of competition means they run this place like they are the only game in town. Be prepared to be rudely yelled at if stand in the wrong place or you fail to follow the rules - of which their are plenty. We did a birthday party here and the invitations they provided tastelessly informed the parents that the host would be charged $10 for additional adults. Not exactly a warm invitation: please bring your 4 year and then get lost. Charging for spectators? Someone brought an infant and they charged us for an extra child. I have never seen that anywhere else. The birthday party contract was longer than a rental car agreement. Low class, bureaucratic, and above all owner-focused instead of customer oriented. read more

We were in town for a high school state championship and needed a place to entertain 18 teenage girls (and 6 adults). Shipwreck glow golf was perfect! Spent the weekend in Courtland with our family recently. This was one of the highlights of our time there. It was a very fun experience for our group of all ages, which included 3 children. The indoor golf experience was an adventure.....very creative. There were many activities offered at a reasonable fee. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I've never been to an indoor mini-golf course and I found this establishment to be satisfying and reasonably priced. I came here after a friend's wedding and found that the staff were incredibly friendly and allowed all of us to play without any difficulties. I liked all of the indoor decor, the glow in the dark animals and the scary pirate themes. I'm not too fond of the actual course, as they were not actually that different from hole #1 to hole #18. However, I enjoyed the experience and would recommend others to visit here if you're staying at the Best Western. read more

Impressive spot that captivated my 4 year old for the whole morning. Love that they open at 10 am on the weekends- always looking for morning play options. The inside and outside mini golf was great- very cool black light scene inside and interesting pirate theme outside. The bounce houses were fun too. They had a "fluff and stuff" activity where they gave you a stuffed animal and some stuffing and let you put it in. Not too exciting- we had imagined a machine like with build-a-bear. I have been a regular at Shipwreck for over 2 years. My youngest son is both autistic and hyperactive, so having a place to take him to expend energy, especially in the winter, has been a godsend. In all the time I have been taking my children there, the staff have always been polite, helpful and accommodating. There have even been times when they have refunded my money because I had to leave before a bounce session was over, because something triggered my child and he had a screaming, flailing meltdown. Not something they are at all required to do, but that's the level of customer service and understanding I have always received there. The one thing they will NOT do however, is allow you to break the rules and use their equipment in an unsafe manner. While I understand that the previous poster may be upset that her child was not allowed to keep his glasses on and bounce, those rules are set by the state to ensure the safety not just of her child, but the other children who were playing at the time. I cannot recommend this establishment enough for those with small children looking for a few hours of fun. read more

Enjoyed playing mini golf on their shipwreck course. They had signs with pirate stories that added interest. Sadly my husband beat me. Arrrgggghhhh matey, off the plank with yee! Great family attraction. We have been going for years. Just tried the treasure chest gem dig. What a blast. My kids were digging for 20 minutes and both came away with a bag load of rocks and gems. Ignore the haters. This place is great. My kids bounce all the time at Shipwreck and Ithaca and the rules are posted and read to you. No glasses in bounce houses Duhhhhhh. Must be more to the story. On August 21, 2017 our grandparents brought us to Shipwreck Golf for our 2017 Mystery Trip. We live near Rochester, NewYork and every summer our grandparents take us on a Mystery Trip. We are sisters ages 10 and 6. We loved it all, but one of our favorite parts was the glow in the dark golf. The animals were so realistic and we had never done anything like that before. We enjoyed stuffing a colorful bunny (Rainbow) and a yellow lab (Belle). It was our first time shooting a paintball gun at a target and we had a great time doing it. The lady who helped us was nice. We've been having a great time at Shipwreck for 3 years now. There are usually 2 different bounce houses set up with slides, bounce areas or obstacles, and a place to bounce and shoot baskets. The indoor golf is awesome. It's always clean, and everyone who works there has been nothing but friendly to me and my crazy kids. I'm glad to have a place to take the kids to burn energy during those long, winter months. read more

My husband and I took our two year old son here numerous time over the winter, and always tried to go on days not many people were there since our son would love to make the animal noises and run around. Every time, we paid for both the golf and the bouncing and often bought ice cream. There was a young woman at the register who was always very nice and polite. I always told his age, and asked if i could help him up the bounce slides when he wanted to go down. The young lady always said it was Ok as long as I didn't bounce. May I say, I am an extremely small woman, and fit their height and weight requirements anyway! Last time we visited I was assisting my son down the slide like usual, did not bounce, and we were in a separate bounce house from other children. Not a single parent was bothered. I was holding my son and we were getting down from the end of the slide and the owner came screaming at me so loud, all of the parents were visibly startled. Another parent even came over looking to see the kids were ok after the screaming was over. She told me I was a danger to the children. I could have told her I meet the requirements and I had asked numerous other times if I was aloud to help my child and was told yes by her workers. Instead, my family quietly left. As we were leaving she was whispering to her staff and pointing at me out in the open not more than 15 feet away from me. My husband was physically upset that I was treated that way. I sent her a personal message that night explaining had she pulled me to the side and talked to me like a fellow adult, I would have understood 100%. She didn't have the decency to even answer my message. I know so many other people with similar experiences with the owner of this establishment. I'm new to the area, live nearby, and my husband and I plan to have many children in the future. We will never come back to this establishment after being so rudely disrespected. read more
