Wow - What a find. I am in the midst of a DIY remodel of my condo guest bathroom and I decided to…read morego with a 1940's art deco theme in lime green ceramics and pink. When I looked at some photos of original deco designs on Pinterest, I got a number of great ideas. One was to put wainscoting around the walls. I figured though, that the amount of work put into the actual wood work would be too much for me and a professional artistic carpenter would be too expensive. I was SO lucky that Wainscoting America came up first in my google search. I called Bob and he was kind and gracious and SO helpful. He taught me SO much about design with his mini tutorials over the phone. Over the next few weeks, as time went on, I continued to learn from Bob. We refined all the dimensions as the mini demolition work was done and I just place the order. Part 2 of this review will follow after I receive the actual 128 lbs of wood - quite a lot for a bathroom that is 60 square feet. This will certainly add flair and style to my pink and green bath. And with the 80 year old toilet and pedestal sink I got online from NY Salvage, I think I am headed in the right direction. Working with Bob has been such a pleasure. More later.

"Girl you had me dangling, like a yo-yo on a string, But…read morewith you at the controls I could accomplish anything" (The Kinks) One of the side effects of seeing your body weight yo-yo is that your rings don't fit you like they used to. My Class of 1975 college ring fit me very well in 1975. But as time went by and my weight went up, it became very tight and uncomfortable, so I went to a jeweler and had it enlarged. Well, fast forward to today where my considerable amount of weight loss came with a side effect. Now my ring was so loose if I shook my hand, it would zoom off my finger as though it was connected to a sling shot. On more than one occasion, when I was scraping a dinner plate into the trash, the ring went flying into the pail along with the left-over peas and carrots. Which explains why I popped into Riches Jewelers to see if they could remedy the situation. The owner Rich looked at the ring, saw how the 50-year-old band had been stretched out and was thinning from that original repair and aging, and said he wasn't sure it could be salvaged. He measured my ring finger to get an accurate size and told me he needed to do some investigation before he could give me a repair budget. A week later he called me with a number that seemed fair, so I gave him a go ahead. Well, I picked it up today and I have to tell ya, that guy Rich is a miracle worker. Yes, it fits now. Basically, he rebuilt the back of the band, rounded the old squished oval shape, and even etched in the design lines to match the original. He cleaned and polished it, removed all the dirt and gunk from the crevices, and it looks gorgeous. His price was $125 plus tax. I love my college ring! It looks so nice that years ago I once had a student ask me if it was a Super Bowl ring! Anyway, thank you Rich, he is as honest and pleasant as anyone I've dealt with in a long, long time.
