We came in here due to the independent bookstore we came to visit closed for the weekend to give…read moretheir employees a weekend off. It's a cute place, small with a few tables outside and a bit of room inside but there were 3 people inside who seemed to be friends with the teen working taking up the room and making the space tight and kind of uncomfortable. Shana got an espresso with a fun flavor syrup which the worker picked caramel. Employee was helpful and knowledgeable. They are small but have a full coffee bar and ability to make pretty much everything a Starbucks would have. She was super nice and though Shana asked an unusual question about local cemeteries she took it in stride even with the guys watching. Bonus points. A downside is the hours. Like many places it showed that according to its signs and hours posted it was closed but we tried the door due to other experiences and found it open. You couldn't really see inside so we took a chance. Others may not or see the sign and keep walking or leave. A bit frustrating. Shana started out just asking general coffee questions then went more specific and the employee keep up and even politely and low key upsold without being pushy. Well done. But the pluses outweigh the negative and if you're in the area hit them up. Don't forget to tip!

Decent coffee in a cute little kiosk-type structure. I'd rate their coffee a 7 out 10 (I am an…read moreadmitted coffee-snob, so I am hard on the ratings, to be fair). Service was very good and with a smile, which is always appreciated. Parking is very easy in the adjacent lot and walk right up and in. The coffee at their other location (on Laurent St) is a little better, but service & friendliness at this location is significantly better (Laurent staff leaves a lot to be desired...)!

The staff at Red Bird Books recommended this coffee shop, and the choice was a winner. Turns out,…read morethey have a cross-marketing promotion once a month. No wonder they recommened one another. Ha ha! I had a small Americano and my mother had a small iced lemonade. Both were uniquely delicious! Appears that this shop is also pet friendly as there were four dogs on leashes waiting patiently near their owners. The ambiance was also very homey and clean. There was a nice, quiet, cozy feel to the place. Please check out the coffee shop.

This is a great bakery / coffee house in downtown Victoria. It's located in a vintage and…read morerepurposed building which gives the place a lot of character. I did not see a parking lot; there may be some behind the building, but there was plenty of street parking when I went. As you enter you'll see multiple seating areas where you can relax, enjoy your order or sit and chat with friends. There is an area with children's toys and books for those who have small children with them. I went because it was the first bakery I could find in Victoria that has scones, and I was on a mission to bring scones home for my wife. They have several flavors of scones: pumpkin and maple, cinnamon apple, lemon blueberry, cranberry orange, chocolate, ham and cheese, (I could be forgetting some). They have other assorted goodies I paid less attention to. I got the ham and cheese scone for my breakfast for the road and bought some other flavors to take home. I loved the savory ham and cheese scone. If the sweet ones are made as well (and they sure look to be) my wife will be very pleased. I also got a coffee which was freshly ground before preparing. I wish they were closer or I'd go there more often. I lived it and think you will too.
