We moved to Victoria in 2020 and I was very disappointed to see there was no Shipley's in town, so finding out they were building one was such great news! My husband and I were excited to order one day and were so sad to find them selling subpar donuts that appeared to be day old. After the disappointment of our initial trip, thinking it was just a fluke, we tried them a second time, only to find the same outcome in quality; we threw them in the trash. This morning, my husband went to get donuts and came back with what was definitely day old donuts. I would advise anyone against going to this establishment! They are absolutely terrible!

I have never before seen strawberry cake donuts. They are as delicious as the blueberry. Add to that fruit and cheese danishes and heavenly breakfast tacos and kolaches. Everything we tried was delightful. I think my favorite was the bacon breakfast taco. I can't describe how perfectly the eggs were cooked. Please do yourself a favor and visit Donut Palace. They also serve croissants and kolachis with ham, sausage, bacon, eggs, cheese, etc. The breakfast sandwiches taste pretty good but they are pre-made and sitting in the display case. The clerk has to microwave them when you order which earns them a lower mark in the quality column. Overall I give them an A-OK and would recommend them if you have a craving for a breakfast snack.

The only reason I stayed in the line was because I prepaid for my items with the app. I ordered a hot coffee and a wake-up wrap. I got a cold coffee and a cold wrap. The girl at the drive through had no idea what I ordered and I could see through the window to the counter inside. It looked like there were about 15 bags on the counter and 10 coffees all sitting there. None of the employees knew whose order was whose. It was ridiculous. I decided to give them another chance about 2 weeks after that. I went in the afternoon so it wasn't during the morning rush. Waited 13 minutes this time for a hot coffee, and got a cold one. I won't go back. I'll just buy the bags at the grocery store and make it myself at home.
