You have the option to have your croissants and kolaches warmed or can take them as is and warm them later. I like the option of warming later. Lemon filled donuts and apple fritters are at the top of my list however you can't go wrong with what you choose. The parking lot can be pretty full at times but definitely worth it. Shipleys wasn't included in our test as their prices were about 40% higher and would have only scored 2-3 stars. Anyway, we tried the donut shop on Washington @ Houston St. and the wife's donut was dry. My apple fritter was pretty good and the price of both was $1.89. We then drove directly over to the donut shop across from Brookshire Bros (Home Town Donuts) next to the convenience store/gas station and my wife said her donut was great. My apple fritter was one of the best ever. It even had the burnt sugar on the edges. The only problem was they were popular enough that they sold out of some of their donuts. No hours on the door so it may have been 10 minutes before closing like it was at the first donut shop (12:50pm). The price here was $2.00 even. Home Town Donuts were our favorites in Cleveland Tx.
