But then I thought maybe I should just have them clean with the 2 person-4 hour session she had suggested the first time I called to schedule the session. So I called and rescheduled the appointment for the 2 person-4 hour cleaning for March 31st, when my lease ended, and all my belongings would be out. On the 31st the cleaning people got lost in the wrong apartment complex, although I had made it very clear which apartment complex I lived in when I confirmed my address with her. Finally, she listened and arrived with the second person in the correct apartment complex. Only one person came into clean while the other person sat in the car, and this is what she told me: "You are only going to get me for the two hour cleaning, what you originally bought through Groupon, and it would cost you another $200 for the additional 2 hours with 2 people, you cannot afford it. She told me to choose carefully what I wanted cleaned, because when the two hours was up she was leaving, that they only clean for people that are planning to live in their residences." When I made both appointments, I had told her I was moving. I decided not to get into another argument with her, and had her clean the master bathroom, the shower in the hallway bathroom, the sliding glass door, and the refrigerator, she did a really good job on everything she cleaned in that two hour time frame, except the freezer part of the refrigerator, she did not touch it. And to my dismay, she asked me for my cleaning supplies several times throughout the two hours! When her cleaning session was over, I asked her for a receipt, because I wanted to turn it into the Leasing Office of my apartment complex, she told me she did not have any receipts and that I would need to call the office. So I called the office, I thought she meant her office, and I was told to call another number, I called that number, it was Groupon's main number! It could have been a total disaster, but I had an inkling that something might go wrong, and had been cleaning throughout the month; windows, blinds, overhead fan, oven, floors and anything else that I thought I might need to do to get my deposit back. I think next time, I will call a business before purchasing the Groupon or anything similar to it. She could have made more money in her pocket, but she chose to be rude! Little did she know, I could afford it, I had enough cash on me to cover it! Although, I have moved out of the area, I thought somebody else might benefit from my experience and not hire these people, it was a headache I did not need.

I think this may be a scam. We called Miller Home Care more than a week in advance to schedule a…read moremove out clean for an empty, small home in Davis. When the day came, it was nearly impossible to figure out over the phone when the cleaners could arrive, and they showed up nearly two hours late after giving a time window. The cleaners were friendly and did a fairly average job. I say this because there were several key areas we mentioned that hadn't been cleaned, like windowsills, tile grout, and marks on the doors. Despite all this, we were happy and willing to pay the "around $300" we were quoted over the phone, even though this seems to be nearly $100 more than most other companies in the area. The cleaner then proceeded to ask for $675 cash only. This was RIDICULOUS not only for a house of this size but for only 2-3 hours of work and an average job at best. We informed them that we would have to arrange payment with the office, she countered with $500 as the "best she could do",and the cleaners left. There were several attempts by the cleaners themselves, not the management, to arrange a time to pick up large amounts of cash from us in person in the following days, but we haven't heard from the management and they seem to have moved on.
