These guys were working on a busy corner in my neighborhood. It was the time of the morning where…read moreeveryone is in a hurry to get somewhere; drivers are likely to be on auto-pilot, in a hurry and not paying attention The guy with the power washer was not stopping to let people by. This would have been fine, except that their ladder--which was not being used--was filling the only dry spot on the sidewalk. I won't go into all the details, but it was creating an unsafe situation for pedestrians that was also difficult to avoid. There are plenty of families with kids that pass this way, and they should not be pushed out into traffic. I figured it was an oversight -- they don't have any reason to really know the neighborhood and what makes navigating that corner more complicated than most. So, I pointed it out and asked if he could move the ladder to the side. [I think I was nice, but maybe I am totally not self aware an an absolute jerk right off the bat...?] Powerwasher guy was immediately angry, and started telling me how he's just trying to do his job. At this point, squeegee guy interjects to tell me he will move the ladder. But, I wait for a long moment and he doesn't. I ask when he will move it. He says now. But, he keeps squeegeeing. I wait. It appears he is passive aggressive, has no intention of moving the ladder, and just wants to appease me so I will go away. I don't want to be blown off. Eventually angry powerwasher guy stomps over, picks up the metal ladder and thunks it down noisily in a better place. I thank him and start to cross the street. Before I am even to the other side, I hear the clatter of the ladder again. He has made the extra effort to put it right back in the place where it blocks the sidewalk. It is still not being used. One star because the windows at that storefront usually look fine.

He said that this type of job usually take about 5 minutes, but this one took 30 minutes. I was a little worried that there was an issue with the door that was making it difficult to install, but it was working when he left. 3-4 days later, my fiance was closing the door after coming in from the patio and the door came right off the tracks. We tried to figure out how to get it back on ourselves - we read articles, watched youtube videos, but we couldn't get it and were worried about breaking the door. I reached out to Joe several times by email and text asking him to come by and take a look. He responded to a few of my messages but ignored most of them. After 4 days of reaching out I gave up. I'm bummed because I was excited to support a local business, but now I'm out $450.

In April 2020 we paid them for the same, as well as additional monies to repair the lock and to clean the unit. They never showed up in the winter to install, but since we were closed due to COVID it was a non-issue for us. We reached out to them a few weeks ago and we were told they didn't have the unit and blamed us for not contacting us last winter. They came back today, stating they had the frame but lost the fabric, but it was our fault because they stored it for so long. If we want the fabric replaced, it would be $1,500. I requested they bring us back the frame but refused. So they took our money and stole our frame. I have already contacted our lawyer and will likely be filing a small claims suit against them. The date he told me to anticipate our awnings should be delivered and one week before, contacted me to say we are on schedule! The awnings were delivered and we set a date for installation. The day before, Kurt Lamothe, the installer, came to look at the awnings and to check out the job site, impressive! Not waiting for 'day of ' - being proactive shows professionalism ~ so appreciated in this day! The installers show up, again, professional and friendly and EARLY! Again, I was impressed because as they're installing, Joe, my sales guy, shows up just to make sure all is going well and that I was satisfied. He even texted me after to say there is a windy storm rolling in so make sure to roll up the awnings as they were just installed. The guys picked up all the wrappings and left not one piece behind. Oh- and the price was fair, no hard sell or upsell. Will post pics later ~ but we are VERY satisfied to find a company and people who are professional and are great at their jobs!
