I ordered food from here yesterday. I have ordered grouper nuggets via uber eats in the past and did not get the sauces I wanted. Simple mistake-understandable. This time I made sure to make a note in the comments so it wouldnt happen again. Someone wrote "lies" on my receipt. Very unprofessional! I didnt even eat the food because I thought the person who wrote it could have done something to my food since I tell "lies". Was in town visiting some friends and wanted some wings. They recommended this place. We sat outside and the teenagers that were with us, walked to a nearby chipotle. The girl that helped us had great recommendations being that it was my first time. We got blackened wings and buffalo wings. They were good. Nothing outstanding but good. We also got grouper bites and cheese curds. The grouper bites were amazing!!! Most of the rating goes to them lol. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of food during a business lunch stop in. Got the French dip and it was delicious! Its one of the places in the area that there kitchen is open the latest. Sometimes you have really good service and sometimes you don't. Doesn't stop us from coming in though. Only complaint is if you are a sports person, sometimes major games are on the small screen rather than their big projection screen. I was heading back home and decided to try something new. This restaurant is located off Linebaugh in a nice area with shops and other restaurants. It was pretty busy for Trivia night and people were having fun. I sat at the bar and had enough personal space to feel comfortable. The bartender was very prompt and offered me a drink. It was a water only day for me so I asked for food reccomendations. I settled on the wings and she said I could try two sauces so I selected garlic and blackened. The wings were very good. They were a good size and very juicy. I had wanted a little more heat so the bartender brought me some hot Buffalo sauce, with a warning to dip and not dunk. The sauce was hot and delicious. Based on the friendly service and upbeat atmosphere I will be back, at some point, to try more menu items and maybe a drink. It's Friday March 14th and went to Maloney's for a pint of Guinness. Guess what they don't have any(for the 2nd time in a month). Really an Irish bar with no Guinness, come on. Maloney's was right across the street from where we had been hanging out. When needing food quickly, it made sense for us to pop in here since it was late and the people I was with liked this place. The place wasn't empty but it also was not busy; it was what you would expect for a Tuesday night. We walked right up to sit at the bar. Greeted by a friendly waitress, she gave us menus and water almost immediately. She asked us if we wanted drinks and then gave us some time with the menu. Having had a few drinks already and needing dinner or at least something to put in our stomachs, we decided to share a few appetizers. We ended up with the wings and fried mushrooms. Both were fried perfectly and nicely seasoned. They each come with dipping sauces and make for the perfect "drunk" bar food. It kind of reminded me of Applebee's if you are familiar with that chain. I can see this place being very appealing for a casual night out with friends or coworkers. The food is not the best but it is pretty good with drinks. I hate to say it, searched many reviews to have a beer and dinner and chose this place. Waitress could not give me the time of day, menu that I was handed seemed like it was 10 years old, and after 20 minutes waitress did not ask if I was ready to order. I hate saying it but beware, others places to get a cold beer, breaks my heart not to give a tip, literally nothing since I ordered a beer. First time at Maloney's. Not really impressed by the rap music that was blasting from the speakers... not what I expect in a place that calls itself an Irish Pub! Place is clean, and obviously more sports bar than anything else. Lot of big screen TV's, if you are into that sort of thing. Seated myself, and a waitress showed up pretty quickly. Ordered the Blarney bacon cheeseburger with onion rings, and a coke. Food arrived in a reasonable period of time (Seemed a bit longer than most places, but not unreasonable). Onion rings appeared to be hand dipped in beer batter, and were delicious! Burger was beautiful to look at, but pretty bland... I found myself taking the bun off, and adding more salt and mustard several times... even added ketchup. The waitress had offered Mayo when she delivered it... should have taken her up on it! lol! bacon was super thin, and almost flavorless. Cheese looked like a combination of cheddar and swiss... worked pretty well. It was cooked medium, as I requested... but just not much flavor. Coke was good, and refills were free... delivered by my wonderful server, Kathy. All in all: Rap music in a Irish Pub? minus two stars. Good onion rings? Plus one star. Bland burger? minus two stars. Maloney's was always our go to restaurant. I loved their Cobb Salad with blackened chicken but the last 2 times it was not good with the last time right down horrible. I pulled out three hearts of lettuce, bite into a piece of raw chicken and items like avocado, red onion, and blue cheese were missing or pretty slim. There were lots of tomatoes and black olives. First time I could barely eat it. We aren't ones to complain about our food. We decided for now to give Maloney's a break and maybe will entertain the idea of going back at a later date. read more

My husband and I always pass by here, but have never thought to give it a try. i'm glad we did, because it was really nice! Super chill and relaxed vibe, but the workers were still professional and on top of things. Our server, Kali M., was very nice. Again, everyone was really relaxed, so we felt super comfortable and just hung out. Our food was really delicious too, and quite cheap. Two drinks (soda) and two entrees was like $30ish. Been going here for years. Last few times service at bar gone down. Don't like the bartender Shanna (I believe her name); drinks are terrible and she is sometimes inappropriate in comments. We live within walking distance, and we eat out fairly often, so pre-COVID-19 we used to hit up Maloney's two or three nights per week. I absolutely love their chicken and veggies entree and the bowl version with rice. I missed it more than I imagined while they were closed. Today we had our "first meal" out in the real world after restaurants were allowed to reopen at limited capacity, and Maloney's did not disappoint. Oh Maloney's, why don't I come here more often? To much of my surprise, I am on the Bar's main page when you check in eating their delicious potato nachos. Beers are plentiful, service is great, live entertainment was pretty good too! Me and the family stopped in here the other week for the Lightning game and it took me back to a time when we were first moving to Tampa a few years back. We were already a couple beverages in when we arrived and were ready to watch some Tampa Bay Lightning! Still the same ol' Irish pub with great service, awesome pub grub and great burgers. Only 'complaint' I can come up with is when there is a hockey game on your main television, maybe chillax on the live entertainment during the game, or put them back over by the Goldentee machine and not in front of the projection TV :) But everything is good, this place is pretty great to chill with friends, eat some burgers and down some beers. read more

I came to Maloneys about 18 months ago and loved their fish and chips so we decided to come back tonight. I was disappointed to say the least. My husband, who comes here more often, says "the food is good but the service is awful and slow." So let's start with that. I called before coming to ask if they had outdoor seating, let them know we had our daughter, and asked about a high chair. The woman I spoke with said they were basically empty and they had high chairs. We got there and a majority of the outdoor tables were full and there was only one low top table outside. Every other table was a high top, therefor not able to reasonably accommodate a high chair. We were pretty annoyed by this but tried to make the best and dined inside instead. There are only two low tops inside so if you need a high chair, or don't want to sit at a high top or the bar, your options are very limited. We were greeted pretty quickly and there were not many people inside. What really upset me, to the point I would have walked out (and probably should have) was the EMPLOYEE that was not wearing a mask. This woman had no face covering - not a mask, not a face shield, nothing. She walked in and out of the establishment, passed a sign that tells all patrons they must wear a mask, multiple times and still had no face covering. We stayed because my daughter needed to eat, but it's just not worth it. The food came out fast but it wasn't as good as I remember. The salad dressing was so bitter I couldn't eat it. The sauce that came on the shrimp was like a BBQ/Buffalo mix and just not my cup of tea. Overall, there was a lot to be desired. I wasn't at all thrilled with the way they operated during a global pandemic and will not be returning until it is safe to do so - and by then it will probably be for a drink, not the food. read more

I have only ordered via Uber eats. Good, consistent Irish Pub food! Close to my home so the food always comes hot and fast. Fish and chips is a huge piece of fish, but thinner fish, good breading, and fries could use a little salt and flavor or crisp to them. I ordered this twice and both times good. Their grouper nuggets, and shrimp app are also good and good portion. Their grouper wrap and mini bacon cheeseburgers I wouldn't order again. Give it a try. The atmosphere is always energetic and the service is always good. No complaints with either of those. The food has gone down a notch. Simple food, Ruben (not toasted and very soggy), fish dish (dry, and over cooked), wings always good. Now the drink. As mentioned this is an Irish pub, 'I've mentioned to bartender in the past and to the waitress this time, making a Black Velvet is simple (Magners on bottom, with Guinness on top), in a 'Guinness glass'. I do understand, after drinking Black Velvets for many years, the eventually the two mix together. But, its not suppose to be served that way. I have added a picture on how it should be served. As I mentioned, this has been bought up on different occasions, about the presentation of the drink, and it gets ignored. I do understand that this may be a minor thing to most, but when your paying money for a drink, after working my ass off, I want my Black Velvet made the correct way. Guinness does give classes for the correct way to pour there drink, may someone should take the class. read more
