Southern Variety is a great little store. We bought my wife's new mandolin on layaway and they…read morenever canceled it even when we once forgot to go pay for slightly over a month. They even took an old guitar in partial trade for it. We took my wife's two aunts there and they each found things they had been looking for but hadn't been able to find. And that's all just in the used item section of the store. They also have a downright excellent selection of firearms and ammunition. Their firearms are much lower than you'd expect from a store located out like this and they are always willing to work with you to find that magazine or forend or scope you're looking for if it's not in stock. As of this writing (July 2013), their ammo prices are high, but who's aren't right now? Before the massive ammo shortage, their prices were pretty average even if their stockage was low. Everyone is very, very friendly. They will talk to you for hours if you let them. You may not believe it, but you'll want to stay and talk.

As we pulled up they had the exact shed we were looking for on their trailer. I said joking to the driver, I'll take it. He said it's already sold. We went inside and spoke with Brandt Harley ,the owner, and he got me another one just like it and delivered it to my house and leveled it by 10am the next morning. We couldn't be happier with the quality and their service.

We love out of state and have since ordered online to have their soap delivered. I absolutely love the "old fashioned peppermint" soap. This time around we also bought some K9 soap to try on our pups. They offer a buy 5 get 1 free deal. Very friendly owners.

Three days later, I called & was told "we have this posted about no returns/exchanges". I did not see it nor was told nor received a receipt for the over the phone purchase. I should never have accepted the plant, but was in a hurry that day. I can't believe they would not do an exchange 3 days later when it was still in the pot. I will never order again from them. No wonder their business seems little off from years ago.

And they are amazing to work with. Ronnie is a quality guitar repair guy. He's set up or re-set up three of my guitars, from a Fender Stratocaster to a Schecter to my most recent purchase (from RBC of course!) ESP. But that aside, the store is just the right size to find a little nook and try an instrument out. The staff knows just how to offer help without pressuring you. They want you to make the decision. So slide on by RBC in the Locust Town Center area some time if you are in the market for a new guitar (or other instrument because they can order it for you and probably get it faster than some online dealers can get it for you - or help you find a comparable instrument that would serve just as well as your 'dream' instrument). I haven't regretted buying an axe or having them work on my axes yet.

I took a chance and regret it. 8 days after payment and items have not shipped. Two emails asking for tracking or reason for delay over their stated policy provide nothing (crickets). I now have no doubt with silver moving up they will cancel order after sitting on cash for more than a week. Interestingly the BBB reviews have changed and the FTC has offered they are looking into company and complaints. Hoping for best and glad EBay and Credit Card merchant both willing to protect purchase. UPDATE - response here but no response on EBay on order paid 10 days prior. Even under formal EBay case. Seems your Facebook offered a response back in early Jan and still not resolved ?? Perhaps an excuse ?? Why not halt future orders till you make right current clients and cash taken ??
