They respond quickly to a call for work, and turn things around fast. They even showed up on the 4th of July to fix our A/C! Who the heck is that amazing? Mike and his team know their stuff, and have helped us with problems big and small, and are totally up front and fair with their pricing. When it's a little fix and fast, that's how it's treated, with no running up of the bill. Honestly wish I could give above 5*. You would never go wrong with Wilson's.

I have multiple HVAC units and two of them were completely broken. I had been told by two other HVAC companies, one local the other came from Phoenix, that I needed to completely replace my 26 year old unit and it was unsalvageable. I was quoted 18k on the high end and 12k on the low end. Mike took a look at it and was honest and said it's a long shot, but I can replace some parts and do a few things and it might work for a while, but no guarantees. In other words, I had to spend a little money to roll the dice. I decided to roll the dice and the result was a $200 cost, but it's been two months of constantly great performance by a very old unit. This has given me time to save up for the full replacement that will inevitably come. There is even a chance that annual fixes could keep it running much longer than anyone expects. Most HVAC guys would have taken the massive replacement job money but Mike proved to be honest. My other unit took significant diagnosis. I had had problems with it the year prior and used a different local company to fix it. That local company charged me $1,300 dollars and the unit failed again due to the same cause one year later. Bad luck? Maybe, but what wasn't bad luck is that my unit was set by that other outfit to run on half power, instead of on full. I went an entire year running my AC on limited functionality! Mike fixed it and re-set the unit to run properly at a very reasonable price. I might also mention that I had another local company look at this second unit of mine before the company that "fixed" it for $1,300 and that company said the unit was unfixable and needed to be replaced. The quote on that was 12k! The most important quality of an HVAC servicer is HONESTY. Mike didn't lie to me. He was fast in responding, thorough, communicated, used his vast experience to come up with solutions, and left me much better off than I was before he stepped onto my property. I am not throwing shade on ALL of the local HVAC outfits in the Verde Valley, but a couple of them straight up tried to rob me. BEWARE. I will be using Wilson's as long as he is still doing HVAC work.

This story is hard to believe. A few weeks ago, I couldn't find the name of Connolly electric…read morebecause I'm older now, and a certain company came up, and all I wanted was to have insulation installed on my outer AC pipes to the outside of my house. I couldn't find the proper insulation, so I hired ****** to do the job. He did a great job, however, he comes in the house to inspect my unit, and notices that there was a rust stain at the bottom of my HVAC system. He proceeds to tell me that it may not have much life left, and he also noticed rust on the fan outside. Obviously, water wasn't draining correctly, however, my system worked perfectly, giving me great heat and great air conditioning. He said that I needed a new unit, and that prices were going up practically every day. I told him that I would wait until it broke, but he was insistent. Even my wife told him that we couldn't afford it. I'm really hard to sell, as I was a top salesman in my company. Somehow, he finagled his way out of my wallet. He quoted me $14,000, and I went for it for some stupid reason. The following week, they come to my house to install the unit which is almost twice as large as the one I had. I told him I didn't think I needed such a large unit, and from what I remember, he told me I did because it was very hot here. Anyway, three guys came to install it, and first of all, I don't know whether it's their fault on or not, but a downdraft unit came instead of an updraft one. The guys had to wait many hours for another one to be sent. Eventually, it came, however, the unit was so large that the tray that holds the filter underneath wouldn't fit, as the guy forgot to measure correctly. They actually installed it without a filter underneath so we'd have air conditioning. Fortunately, the filter fit in my intake in my house so we wouldn't get dust through the unit. When the machine turned off, the vents banged as there was too much pressure for my little house. Also, they did not change to a higher amp fuse, which should have been 60 amp instead of 30. They put in a 5-ton unit, and I had a 2-1/2 ton unit prior. I told Connolly that our bedroom in the front of the house faces the Sun, and it was hard to cool and heat only that room, so they put a 3-ton unit in. Here's the deal, instead of paying $14,000, I paid $8,200, almost HALF the price from Connolly. My builder will only use these guys, and since my guy is honest, I will agree. Damn, I should have called him first! Oh, by the way, my house is only 7-1/2 years old and 1,500 s.f. large. I would have reported the other guys to the Arizona Contractor office, but they gave me my 7,000.00 deposit back. Just be careful who you deal with, and thanks, Steve, for a wonderful and clean install, as well as Trevor and Todd, who I assume are either owners or managers.

I'm a little disappointed this time when I called for my AC unit to be checked. I was informed they won't do any work in a home warranty is involved. I explained that the warranty company reimburse me and I would pay them I just needed their service person to call once they diagnosed the problem and I was told they are glad to do the work but they won't call or talk to the home warranty. I called another company who had no problem talking to the warranty company, I paid them and a reimbursement check is being sent.

I am a long time property manager and call plumbers and trade experts all the time. I have learned discretion. I called this company to look at a tenants 10 year old AO Smith (bought new, commercial grade) water heater. The water heater was making popping noises and she was concerned. The solution was draining the sediment, which can be accomplished in a service call or by any rudimentary handy man in an hour. Guess what I was told? I was told I needed a new water heater at a cost of $4,000. This massive upsale effort is nothing short of disgusting. I drained it myself, problem solved. I wrote this review because the company had no clear way to email them. I could have called with feedback and questions, and I may update this review if aomeone at the company is responsible enough to call me. Until then, it stands and I suggest you get at least two other opinions before replacing equipment at their recommendation.

Since it's 30 years old I have no problem with that recommendation. We got prices from the project manager and when we tried to call him a day or so later with some questions, we were told he no longer works there. We were offered 7% off and when questioned them about the 15% off, we were told that has already been taken off. Apparently the original price was over $21,000.00. Since asking about that, we haven't heard a word from them and it's been over a week. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!
