EVENT Date: May 18th 2023 Where: Walter White Elementary…read moreSchool 2904 6th St, Ceres, CA 95307 (209) 556-1710 Hello, I'm Jana Thomas and a Volunteer and paid part-time employee for NAMI Stanislaus (The National Alliance for Mental Illness; located in Modesto) It was a blast to be invited out to Walter White Elementary School for their "outreach" event last year. I apologize for the delay in posting this review and photos as I became mentally ill about a year or more ago and I'm finally rounding the corner to being recovered & it feels great to be back with Yelp contributing and NAMI Stanislaus! During this STOMP OUT STIGMA (my version of the words), event, on-campus there were many vendors all there to enlighten staff & student alike to come together and speak out that we ALL have MENTAL HEALTH just like we have a beating heart which allows us to live healthy lives and there is NO SHAME, NO STIGMA about speaking about both things. We must take care and if need be coddle our mental health so it stays healthy & intact. The evening was a success and I'm happy to have been mentally well on this day so I could meet and greet. If you're wanting more information on what NAMI Stanislaus has to offer "ALL FREE/ALL COMPLIMENTARY BY THE WAY" PLEASE give us a call @(209) 558-4555 at our Modesto Office on 800 Scenic Drive in Modesto. NOTE: This contact information above and below is for NAMI STANISLAUS, not this awesome Elementary School. We offer no-cost presentations with informational handouts for schools and businesses pretty much anywhere so if we can help you; It is our Pleasure to do so. Give us a ring! and/or drop by & bring someone with you if you prefer :) Here's our number: PLEASE give us a call @(209) 558-4555 we are FREE Mental Health Experts living on "Lived Experience" a valuable asset in life. To close: We are ALWAYS seeking committed volunteers and sometimes paid positions such as for a public-speaker like me. Training is all zero-cost. We'd love to hear about your unique story. Everyone has one. Thank you, Jana Thomas.

One word to summarize MJC : useless…read more I challenge anyone to find a single graduate from this college that isn't a nurse (or some lesser derivative, like RT or LVN). There's a good chance you won't, because that's all this college ever produces. Back when I was a young (and very naive) human I used to think college and higher education was for advancing humanity. Building better technology, scaling, furthering our understanding of the universe. Boy, was I mistaken, because at MJC I learned the truth about what college is REALLY for. Which is just to PRETEND to want all that but actually just kiss @$$, smile, feign competence, and, most importantly, try to get a big paycheck. At MJC, everyone just agrees with the majority, and logic or critical thinking? Hah! Nice sense of humor you got there . Now that's what I have to say about the students there and how they're nothing but incompetent Muppets. Let's talk about the college as a whole Releasing nothing but Healthcare workers. Why does MJC do this? Because its the easiest field for incompetence to hide. You see, as a plumber, you either fixed the sink or you didnt. As an electrician, your light either works, or it doesn't. If you're a mechanic, the car either runs... or it doesn't. But in Healthcare there's plenty of incompetent actors to flourish behind ambiguity. The right approach, the right mannerisms, the right personality. All of these are subjective and debatable, unlike whether or not a car simply runs. Another reason why Modesto poops out these useless Healthcare workers is because its the easiest "problem" to fabricate. If your car runs, you assume it works. If your sink drains, you assume no problem. Theres no "nuance", theres no "condition", theres nothing to attach narratives to. Theres no "your car work, oh but it has 'autism' and thats why you need to also give it this". Theres also no emotions. Your car gets serviced for an oil change, there no gut wrenching potential (or phantasmal) "cancer" thats going to demand big monies to cure a "problem" you didnt know you had. Healthcare is the easiest field to scam humans with because it has the biggest cloud of ambiguity and distortion compared to the trades. Its honestly sickening once you see it for what it is. Im not about to waste my life on gaslighting nonsense, even if it pays well. Besides, I can do much better with my capabilities without these uselsss "higher" education camps. I'd give it one star but then I'd be completely also discrediting the useless sciences I did learn there like Anatomy, Physio, and Microbiology. But beyond a few worthwhile classes (that you cant even really capitalize on without significant capital) going here is a waste if you truly want to level up your intelligence. But if your goal is to be a mindless drone and collect a paycheck, itll probably serve that function.
