We've been with Montessori on the Prairie in Tracy since our kids were just 18 months old, and they…read morestayed until they were 7. We've honestly had such a great experience with the school and the teachers. Ms. Shanika has been especially amazing. She has always cared for our kids like they were her own and has gone above and beyond for them. One thing that really stands out to me is with my younger son. He just wasn't interested in reading and still wouldn't start reading even at 5. Ms. Shanika put in so much extra effort and patience with him, and before we knew it, he was sitting in the library corner reading book after book. As a parent, seeing that change was really special. The kids also got such a strong academic foundation. They learned all the basics really well, and I was honestly amazed that my older son knew his multiplication tables by the time he was 6. But what I appreciate most is that they teach more than academics. Respect, kindness, caring for others, independence and good values are a big part of the environment, which I think is so important in today's world. We're really grateful for all the teachers and especially Ms. Shanika for the love, patience and extra effort she has given our kids over the years. It truly feels like they were cared for as her own, and we'll always have a special place in our hearts for this school.

Both of our girls, Legacy and Honor, grew up here. Legacy started in 2022 when she was just two, and Honor started when she was about a year and a half. Legacy stayed until she started kindergarten at Coral Hollow, and this year Honor said goodbye as she started TK. Looking back, we realize just how much this school did for them. The structure, the organization, the care, the individual attention. Every Friday, the girls would bring home their work and my wife and I would honestly be blown away. They had an app where they sent pics all the time. Throughout the week, we'd get pictures of the girls working, learning, interacting with their classmates doing things that I honestly didn't even realize kids their age were capable of. As parents, that level of connection was priceless. And the teachers were amazing. A huge thank you to Miss Shanika, Miss Raji, Miss Jenny, Miss Farsana, Miss Sunita, and all of the other staff whose names I might be forgetting. You cared for our girls, you taught them, encouraged them and treated them with so much patience and respect. Our girls still talk about you, and still ask to visit. It wasn't only the academics, though. It was the environment they created, the small group attention, The individualized care, the way they celebrated birthdays and holidays, all the little moments that made the school feel really special. It genuinely makes me emotional thinking back. Montessori on the Prairie helped plant the first seeds of our girls' education and gave them a strong foundation that they'll carry with them for years to come. We'll always be grateful for the love, care and respect you gave our daughters. Thank you for being such an important part of our lives. I honestly couldn't recommend Montessori on the Prairie more highly.

Highly recommend Montessori School of Tracy! Like many of us, I was so nervous to send my Covid-era…read morebaby out into the world and start his school journey, but from our first tour of the school, I started to feel like it was going to be okay. I was given very detailed information about what the program would entail and was able to see a class in session before enrolling. As my son completes pre-k in a few weeks, I have to give a shout out to Ms. Mayte and the team (especially Ms. Seena and Ms. Miriam) for all they have done for us. My son started the school year pretty shy and apprehensive and has blossomed into a bubbly and social preschooler. It's been an amazing thing to see. The school gives us regular updates throughout the week on the Brightwheel app and anytime I've had any questions or needed some time to chat, I would hear back from his teachers promptly. We get photos through the app as well that are always exciting. Sometimes it's a snap of playtime, a celebration, or completing a milestone and receiving kudos. Along with the basics of letters and numbers, my son has gotten to learn about different cultural holidays and has loved telling us what he's learned. He always seems to be doing a new activity and doing the half day program has definitely been the right choice for our family. Ms. Mayte took the time to really get to know our son and has been instrumental in all areas of his development this year. I can only hope that he will continue to have great teachers for the rest of his academic journey!

Once a wonderful school. Sadly, no longer…read more Both of our sons attended this school for many years. For a long time it was excellent: strong academics, caring teachers, and a nurturing Montessori environment. We recommended it to everyone. Since the change in leadership, our experience has changed dramatically. Our older son, an excellent student liked by teachers and classmates, had a difficult and negative final year. The warmth and support we once counted on was gone. In our experience, the current leadership is dismissive toward parents, inflexible, and has no clear or constructive approach to discipline, especially for boys. Communication felt one-sided, with little respect for families who have supported the school for years. When concerns came up, the attitude was "my way or the highway" rather than working with families. The teachers we knew over the years were dedicated and kind, and that makes this decline more disappointing. I hope the school's board takes a hard look at its direction. Until things change, I can't recommend it to families looking for a supportive, respectful partnership.

She cares a lot about my learning individually and is constantly catering the class to my strengths and weaknesses. We play fun games, listen to spanish music, learn about the history of various countries and their people, and do it all in spanish as a double-learning opportunity. I went from not remembering any of the spanish I learned in high school to being able to understand and converse more confidently than I ever have. The classes have emphasized proper grammar but also really help with interacting socially and in certain situations with spanish speaking people. I have used the skills I've developed to have many full, 30+ minute conversations with people in spanish speaking countries, and it's given me an opportunity to connect with people I wouldn't have otherwise. Highly recommend them.
